The library is built to be read in quiet. We keep what we collect to the minimum the site needs to work, and we never sell it.

Who we are
Gnostic Library ("the library," "we," "us") publishes the works of the great esoteric masters, original programs, and sacred music at gnosticlibrary.org. This policy explains what information the site handles, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect
When you simply read or listen
Like every website, our server receives basic technical information each time a page is requested: your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page, and the date and time. These server logs are used only to keep the site running, secure, and free of abuse. We do not use them to build profiles of visitors.
When you join the Lunar Transmission
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address and the language you chose. We use it to send the transmission and a welcome note confirming your subscription. Nothing else.
When you write to us
If you email the library, we receive your address and whatever you choose to include. We use it to reply and keep it only as long as the conversation needs.
What stays in your browser
Some features remember your place using your browser's local storage. This information is stored on your device only. It is never sent to us, and we cannot see it.
- Theme. Whether you prefer the light or dark edition of the site.
- Programs. Your progress through the 21-day programs, the date you began, your written intention, and your daily reflections.
- Audiobooks. Where you paused, so you can resume listening.
You can erase all of it at any time by clearing your browser's site data for gnosticlibrary.org. Doing so will reset your program progress and notes on that device.
The library itself does not set cookies.
Services that help us
A small number of trusted providers help the library function. Each receives only what it needs for its task.
- Hosting. The site is served from our own server in the United States.
- Cloudflare. Receives the newsletter form when you subscribe and passes it to our email provider.
- Resend. Stores the subscriber list and delivers the Lunar Transmission.
We do not share your information with anyone else, except where the law requires it.
Embedded video and music
Some pages include audiobooks, lectures, and music played through YouTube or Spotify. When one of these players loads, your browser connects to that service, which may collect information and set its own cookies under its own privacy policy. We use YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode where available.
Links to our pages on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Pinterest, and X take you to those services, where their policies apply.
YouTube API Services
Gnostic Library Ops, our internal publishing tool, uses YouTube API Services. It is used only by our own team, on our own YouTube channels, Gnostic Library and Librería Gnóstica. When our team signs in with Google, the tool receives permission to upload videos to our channels, to manage their captions, thumbnails and playlists, and to read our channels’ statistics. It does not access any other person’s YouTube account or data. It stores, on our own computers, its sign-in token and a record of each upload (video ID, title and date). This information is not shared with anyone and is not sold.

Access given to Gnostic Library Ops can be removed at any time from the Google security settings page: https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions. When access is removed, or on request to books@gnosticlibrary.org, we delete the stored token and related data within 7 days.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us at any time to see, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you. Write to books@gnosticlibrary.org and we will honour your request.
You can leave the Lunar Transmission whenever you wish, by using the unsubscribe link in any transmission or by writing to us.
Depending on where you live, laws such as the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA in California may give you further rights. We extend the same care to every reader, wherever they are.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to our server and services is restricted. No system is perfectly secure, but we hold very little, and we guard what we hold.
Children
The library is written for adult readers. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us their information, write to us and we will remove it.
Membership
Member accounts are not yet open. When they are, this page will be updated to describe what an account holds and how payments are handled, before any account information is collected.
Changes to this policy
If the way we handle information changes, we will update this page and the date at the top.
