The Conversation You Did Not Know You Were Having
There is a voice in you that never stops talking. It has been running the show for years. Today you finally listen.
Most of this we never hear. The talking is just background, like a radio in another room. But Neville insisted that this inner speech is doing more than narrating your life. It is creating it. The world matches the conversation, not the conversation the world.
If the voice keeps muttering nobody listens to me, the world supplies more proof. If the voice mutters I always lose at love, love stays just out of reach. The voice does not predict the future. It writes it.
Your outer life is the long echo of your inner conversation. Change the conversation and the echo follows. There is no other way.
Today, become a listener for one hour. Just one. Do not try to change the voice yet. Just notice. Notice how often it speaks against you. Notice the small disasters it rehearses. Notice the resentments it warms up like leftovers.
Once you can hear it, you can begin to speak differently. Replace one habitual sentence today. If the voice says I am behind, tell it I have all the time I need. Do not believe the new sentence yet. Just say it. Belief follows repetition, not the other way around.
Your inner speech is your real prayer life. Pray well. With Love,
Dr. Athena ❤️
