What is the True Baptism?

It is necessary to comprehend what Baptism is in itself, to comprehend its esoteric transcendence.

The sacrament of Baptism of the diverse religious cults is associated with that of Matrimony.

Such a sacrament exists in all the cults; it is not held only by the Catholic Religion, but also by a multitude of other religions. Whenever someone enters into one of those religions, he is baptized.

Religions have two circles: the exoteric or public, and the esoteric or secret. The esoteric circle does not study the sacred books in a merely exoteric (external) form, but esoterically — leaving aside the “letter that kills” to capture the “spirit that vivifies,” that which is written between the lines, that which the multitudes are not capable of understanding.

The greater part of religions are deprived of the initiatic tradition; they no longer have that tradition, nor do they even remotely know it. However, in spite of everything, they conserve the exoteric ritual of Baptism. The ritual of Baptism that is performed in the physical world represents the Esoteric Baptism — the one that we have to carry out in the interior world.

Baptism is a pact of sexual magic — a sexual commitment.

The ritual of Baptism is a ceremony through which the baptized one makes a pact with his internal God to practice sexual alchemy further on.

If later the child, now an adult, fulfills the pact, it will have served him. If he does not fulfill the pact, he will fail. It does not matter that he has received the sacrament in the physical world. Of what use is it to receive it if one does not fulfill the oath, the pact? This means that the salvation of the human being is in sex and in the spinal medulla, and all that does not go that way is to waste time uselessly.

In the ritual of Baptism, water is poured upon the head of the baptized. This represents that the waters have to ascend to the brain during sexual transmutation. This is the key of Baptism.

Only by working the pure waters of life can one return to the Edenic, Paradisiacal state.

The baptismal font, for example, in the Christian Churches, represents the Philosophical Stone and the creator organs. There is deposited the “lustral water,” the Mercury of the alchemists, which represents the Sacred Sperm.

The fire of the candles represents the Sulfur of the alchemists — the fire that is liberated after the death of each defect.

If the one who is baptized knows how to intelligently combine the Mercury with the Sulfur, he attains the Second Birth; he enters the Kingdom of Heaven. But if the one who is baptized never works with the Mercury and the Sulfur, that Baptism has not served him for anything.

The consummation of Baptism is attained in the sacrament of Matrimony with the practice of the Arcanum A.Z.F. (Sexual Magic).

Baptism is fully realized when the first serpent — corresponding to the Solar Physical Body — is raised.

The first two serpents ascend together up to a certain point. Then, that of the Vital Body stops, and only that of the Physical continues ascending, until it remains completely raised. To complete the Vital Body takes the same time as creating the entire Physical. Baptism occurs precisely after having created the Physical Body, while the Vital is being completed.

There Exist Three Baptisms

  • The Baptism of Water. It is that of the First Mountain. It is related to the completion of the Solar Vital Body.

  • The Baptism of Fire. It is that of the Second Mountain. It is related to the completion of the Vital Body of Gold and is represented by the beheading of John the Baptist. John said that he baptized with water, but that behind him would come one who would baptize with fire (he was referring to the Christ).

  • The Baptism of Light. It is the true Baptism. It is related to the Second Birth and the creation of the Bodies of Light in the Third Mountain.

It is necessary to comprehend what Baptism is in itself, to comprehend its esoteric transcendence.
