The Seven Churches and the Seven Chakras

The objective of this conference is to permit us to comprehend what the Churches and the chakras are, how we can develop them through the interior work of each one, and how this work gradually transforms us — from rational animals to men, then from men to super-men, and finally from super-men to absolute men.

What is a Church?

A Church is a center of wisdom. Or rather, we would say, it is a Consciousness. If we observe carefully each of these Seven Churches, we see that they are localized in the distinct centers of the human machine. In these same points we find the intelligence that manages the wisdom of each of our internal bodies.

What is a Chakra?

A chakra is a magnetic center, which is found connected, through some very fine nerves, to the corresponding center of wisdom or Church.

It is to be noted that the location of these is not in the center or Church. The chakras are found localized externally, and they work by capturing Cosmic Energy.

All human beings possess these chakras, but at present they turn in inverted form (they should do it in the direction of the hands of the clock), and they are not duly developed.

As we saw in the conference on the Seven Centers, the cerebrospinal system has seven special points where the Seven Churches of each human being are localized.

The Seven Churches (or Seven Wisdoms or Seven Consciousnesses)

The Seven Churches exist in the Microcosm-Man and in the Macrocosm. The Seven Churches of our spinal medulla resplend with felicity through the Sacred Fire of the Holy Spirit. They are the doors that give us access to the Seven Glorious Cathedrals of the superior worlds. The Seven Churches hang precious and divine within the medullar canal of the famous Nadi Chitra. As the Seven Churches open, then the chakras or sympathetic plexuses awaken.

The 7 Chakras (or Energetic Centers or Sympathetic Plexuses)

The Sanskrit word chakra means “wheel” or “disc.” The chakras are vortices of energy — round and vibratory, magnetic wheels. All the functions of the body — nervous, digestive, circulatory, respiratory, genital, etc. — are under the control of the chakras and their corresponding nervous plexuses. Plexus is the name given to any binding of nerves, arteries, and veins. The chakras are situated in the same place as the plexuses, though in a different dimension.

The Cosmic Energy is received and distributed by the chakras, which function as accumulators, performing their work like dynamos or batteries. They permit the passage and transformation of the Cosmic Energy they absorb into vital or nervous energy.

The energy received by the chakras circulates through certain conduits or channels called Nadis, of distinct sizes, which disperse everywhere like the nerves, veins, and arteries. The number of Nadis is 72,000.

The Three Principal Conduits

• 1. Sushumna, which runs through the interior of the spinal column, and goes from the coccyx to the upper part of the head. Within this canal there is another, called Nadi Chitra.
• 2. Ida, which begins at the right testicle and ends at the left nostril (the reverse in the woman).
• 3. Pingala, which begins at the left testicle and ends at the right nostril (the reverse in the woman).

Sushumna ascends from the coccyx to the eyebrow center. Ida and Pingala ascend from the sexual glands, twining around the Sushumna. These three conduits make up the Caduceus of Mercury, symbol of Initiation.

The Seven Chakras are found rooted in the Astral Body; they are the senses of the Astral Body. These are found in intimate relation with the Seven Churches. The Seven Chakras are under the control of the Seven Churches.

Each of these Churches, as centers of wisdom, begins to develop from the First Mountain onward, to the measure that we eliminate the defects we discover and comprehend. The liberated sparks increase the light or wisdom of the Church to which they correspond.

In the Second Mountain — or Mountain of Psychological Death — when the Causa-causorum I-s go on dying, the Churches remain resplendent, in all their beauty and brilliance. When the initiate passes through the process of death and resurrection, they remain in all their splendor.

This process is called the Apocalypse — or end by Fire or Love.

The Seven Consciousnesses form that which is called The Consciousness of Our Being — the Seven Wisdoms — but still the Cosmic Consciousness is lacking, the remaining 1%.
