The Symbol of the Eagle Swallowing the Serpent
Much has been spoken about the Kundalini, the annular serpentine power that develops marvelously through the spinal medulla in the body of every white tantric. However, no one could enjoy the powers of the luminous serpent without having first been devoured by it.
To awaken the Kundalini is not everything. We not only need to awaken the Serpent; it is necessary to be swallowed by the Serpent.
The Divine Mother Kundalini needs to devour the Existential Bodies of the Being; but in order for Her to be able to do that, all the Bodies must have been transformed into pure Gold, because She does not swallow anything filthy. One could never be “devoured by the Serpent” if he has not first dissolved the animal Ego.
Whoever dissolves the Ego is “swallowed by the Serpent”; he who is “swallowed by the Serpent” becomes Serpent.
The Three Works of the Christ in the Third Mountain
First Step
At the end of the Second Mountain, after the death of the Cause I-s, we remain converted into Serpent Men (Elohim Male — Female).
Here we must recover the remaining one percent of Consciousness and begin to create the Bodies of Light.
The Serpent of Fire (the Christ) must unite with the Holy Spirit, thus becoming an Elohim. This is the beginning of the Third Mountain.
Second Step
The serpent has to be gathered to form the O of the Spirit, God-Mother (the serpent swallowing itself, swallowing its tail).
The Christ conquers the Dragon Lucifer in all the temptations and fuses with him. Since the Christ has already eliminated the Cause I-s, Lucifer no longer has anyone to tempt.
Third Step
The serpent (Christ-Lucifer) is devoured by the Eagle (the Father), and thus becomes the Plumed Serpent. “Just is his liberty after his hard work as psychological trainer; he has remained without any shadow of evil; the Logos (the Father) swallows him, absorbs him.”
Wisdom is integrated with Love.
The three primary forces of the Universe have been crystallized in oneself.
In the Third Mountain these three forces die — for this reason it is said that “God himself must die” — because this is a God, capable of creating through the Verb, and yet he must pass through death. Death is a transformation, the unification of these three forces into one.
That is the symbol of the Aztecs, when the Eagle swallows the Serpent — the passage from Duality to Unity — because one must enter the Absolute as Unity, not as Trinity nor as Duality, but as Unity.
The two laws are absorbed by one, and one remains united to the Great Law — connected to the Absolute directly through the Great Law — to arrive at Unity, at total Liberation.
The Eagle represents the Spirit, and the Serpent the Fire. When the Eagle swallows the Serpent, then we become Plumed Serpents — a Quetzalcoatl — and the Work is accomplished.
