Chapter One: EDITOR’S PROLOGUE

Today, the Venerable Master SAMAEL AUN WEOR has taught us that almost one hundred percent of humans live unconscious because of having great legions of I’s.

The powerful believe that they are going to destroy us with their atomic bombs, but the ones who are going to destroy themselves are themselves.

Those I’s can be destroyed with the Revolution, with the Revolution of the SOCIAL CHRIST. Revolution not of blood and liquor, nor violence. It is with the Revolution of AHIMSA. The Revolution against the collective I of the powerful.

The Venerable Master has delivered to us a powerful weapon to combat that I, and that weapon is the «Social Christ» and the «Social Transformation of Humanity».

These weapons are swords to combat in favor of our Social freedom.

In this work he teaches us to combine the spiritual with the economic. Some will ask why the Master combines some things with others; we say that in order to be in harmony with the Infinite one needs to fulfill first the duties of spouse, of Father, civic duties, and duties toward God.

The Great Initiates have been Revolutionaries and in these times is when most a Social Revolution is needed and in favor of the poor suffering Humanity.

We are in an epoch of Revolution and we want an integral freedom.

In this work the Master tells the truth, and the evil ones do not like the truth to be told to them. Let those who laugh laugh; orders are being fulfilled and what does it matter to us what they say? In these times one cannot keep silent the truth even if it is hard. It is time for the masters of the world to begin learning the lesson.

Humanity does not accept that there be an Avatar because it is not convenient that there be redeemers, and for this epoch it was written, that for these times an Avatar would have to come, to teach the fifth truth and Social welfare, the pain of Humanity. The world must be transformed and for that the «Social Transformation of Humanity» is needed.

We are in the time of BEING or not BEING. Either we are cold or we are hot, either forward or backward; let us go to the facts, to the grain.

The CHRIST was killed by the powerful of the epoch, and they even called him crazy, because Humanity does not accept Redeemers.

Brothers; our Supreme Commander invites us to read and practice this book eminently Ethical, Scientific and Philosophical. Science must be made Religious and Religion Scientific, for the Equilibrium of the World. While there is no such equilibrium Human evolution will not take a step forward.

If we truly want a Social change of humanity it is necessary that the individual change. The individual is humanity.

For the individual it is a great pain to leave his beloved I’s. How he loves them!

From them he feeds himself. Because of the greedy I the Systems of the East and West want to destroy themselves.

We Latinos are the coveted bread of the Systems. We Latinos are Religious and also Revolutionary; with both combined we shall not let ourselves be conquered by any Antireligious System, nor by materialist Revolution.

There are two classes of Revolutions, that of violence and that of NON-VIOLENCE. The positive and the negative. Do not let yourselves be confused; by their acts you shall know them.

Therefore, when the systems enter into war, we shall already have taken the sword of Liberty.

For humanity to change it is necessary that the individual change; for the individual to change it is necessary to banish the I; to banish the I one must combat it with the atomic energies of the Virtues: Humility, Generosity, Chastity, Patience, Temperance, Charity, and Diligence. With these Virtues we combat each one of the I’s one by one. Example: If your I is Lustful, be you Chaste; if it is wrathful, be you patient, calm, joyful. If it is greedy, be you Laborious, etc., etc., etc.

The Venerable Master has delivered to us a powerful weapon to combat that I, and that weapon is the «Social Christ» and the «Social Transformation of Humanity».

Chapter Two: THERE ARE TWO CLASSES OF ANIMALS

Rational and irrational. The individual is rational. Rational is the being that reasons; Irrational is the one that lacks reason. But this is not the case; the case is to come out of the animal state. With reason or with intellect one is an animal; to come out of this animal state, one must begin by dislodging those I’s of reasoning.

Animal is beast, brutality, psychological I, etc., etc.

And what is the psychological I? Psychological I is the animal that is in the physical body and that certain individuals call devil. The Christ did not have it; for that he said, I am the way, the truth and the Life. He banished the Psychological one, engendered the Divine one, the NOUS Atom.

The lack of conscience of humanity treats the truly conscious as crazy because they tell them the naked truth and because they do not agree with their evils; thanks to the paladins and Commanders, Venerable Masters Samael Aun Weor and Gargha Kuichines have unearthed from nature the Mysteries of the beyond, the Science of Loving and now the Social Transformation of Humanity.

We are on the brink of the great world catastrophe; one step back, a fall and to the abyss; then we shall no longer be able to complain; the warned soldier does not die in war. Already with weeping and gnashing of teeth we shall not be able to transcend.

The Christ did not have it; for that he said, I am the way, the truth and the Life.

Chapter Three: PREFACE

Those who satisfy their desires with women, money and drink declare that one must take advantage of youth because it does not return; it is that vice degrades the heart and makes it insensible to the pain of others. Many of them believe they comply with God by attending the rites of their creeds or giving alms for their cults.

It causes alarm to read in the world press, on the low side: Robberies, murders, rapes, kidnappings, assaults, deceptions and death, and on the high side: Sedition, devaluation, depreciation, treason, conjuration, humiliation, uprising and wars. There is insecurity for life and uncertainty about what is to come, which makes sensible people aspire for a new order of things.

Both «THE SOCIAL CHRIST» and «THE SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY» are works in which a Master of wisdom reveals to us the bases for establishing a new order of things; these works will open new horizons for entire humanity and must be read and studied carefully.

In the work titled «The Revolution of Bel» of the same author, a treatise of practical occultism, we wrote the entirely sociological preface to make readers who study us understand that spiritual science profoundly knows social life and makes us masters of life when we study and practice it with knowledge of cause. There the bases for a new order are sketched in broad strokes. Asked years later by a gnostic lawyer of the city of Cartagena why we did not put into practice what was enunciated in said chapter, we declared to him that we had the science but the equipment was lacking; that team of men is being matured within the knowledge of esoteric-Christian wisdom. Until now humanity knew the Historical Christ and what the divine Master could say publicly in his epoch and later through his disciples. These teachings were prohibited and combated in that time because they attacked the interests of all creeds and of all operating castes; now it falls to us to divulge the esoteric-Christian wisdom or Christonic substance that lives and pulses in the very depth of our own seed. But today as yesterday the great vested interests are ready to oppose its divulgation.

In the Intellectual field men of letters are giving public knowledge a campaign on MORAL REARMAMENT. Young law students spoke publicly from the capital of the Republic and many articles have appeared in the Colombian press related to the idea of MORAL REARMAMENT; in one of them, Dr. Daniel Samper Pizano declares that: Nikita Khrushchev complains that after sixty-seven years of socialism they had not managed to produce the new type of man, pure, honest, disinterested and loyal who could make the revolution effective. According to the article writer, Peter Howard of the United States, also was a great supporter of the idea of Moral Rearmament, which deals exactly with the improvement of man, that man must be transformed. Both «THE SOCIAL CHRIST» and «THE SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY» have the bases to attain the change that the seekers of Moral Rearmament aspire to, which today have so attracted the attention of men of letters.

On February 4, 1962 there was a conjunction of planets of which astronomers and astrologers spoke and even predicted a universal catastrophe; it was a whole gathering of stellar hierarchs, which was seen by astronomers as a formation in straight line of all the planets of our solar system, some before and others after the Sun; for the common of the people it was only seen as an eclipse of sun and moon. This conjunction had already been denounced 12 years earlier by Samael Aun Weor. In the book titled «The Perfect Matrimony», 1st edition, as the date on which the New Era of Aquarius was initiated.

A New Era is something new and brings fundamental changes in the life of men. A new Herald of the New Era has arisen to draw back veils and untie tangles; 30 works he has written in the short time of 15 years, but to him is happening what to the Christ in his epoch, that no contemporary writer occupied himself with him; the teachings of the Christ were totally prohibited and the first Christians were derided in the public square; it was a crime to follow that strange doctrine. It is recounted that in the epoch of the Christ, only a Roman captain, told from Judea to a friend in Rome: “There is here a madman who preaches a new doctrine among the ignorant people but he is not to be feared because he harms no one.”

He did not even reveal his name to indicate how insignificant that subject was. The Christ spoke in an epoch in which woman was war booty and by saying that man should only take one as companion and wife he made enemies of all the castes of his epoch. Samael Aun Weor has not come out as a reformer but as a transformer and as such he attacks at their bases the existing systems, in the social, political and economic, and opens new horizons for a better moral structure; for that, for him there are no applauses nor smiles. Humanity is in crisis, evil is teetering, and the hour of attack in the field of ideas has come.

Until now humanity knew the Historical Christ and what the divine Master could say publicly in his epoch and later through his disciples.

Chapter Four: BIRTH CONTROL

Much is being spoken about contraceptive pills; the great laboratories of the world are ready awaiting the approval of Science, religion and governments; already the propaganda announcing that within 10 years the world population will not fit is having its effects to accelerate the required permits; then to punish the few who escape from the claws of the pills because those unredeemed ones will come out for torment of their parents. Every system that avoids birth by means of drugs, mutilations or disconnection in woman is unnatural. Everything is dual in life and just as there exists a canal for the exit of spermatozoa, there also exists another of internal secretion that gives life and fortifies man; this wisdom is known by the name of SCIENTIFIC CHASTITY and regulates birth in scientific and natural form, but of it one cannot speak publicly because it makes of man a superior being, strong and without vices, which comes to spoil the present social scaffolding that sustains itself with every class of slaves.

Chapter Five: THE DEATH PENALTY

Much has been discussed in Colombia about the death penalty; many reject it with reasonable arguments and others clamor for it with anguish as a method to correct the preponderant evil; all the exposed reasons belong to the material field omitting those of religious, moral and spiritual order, with which one can combat the natural desire of vengeance or punishment, such as taking the life cold and serenely from the one who offends against society. We the gnostics oppose that constituted governments as republics be authorized to execute or give death to their fellow citizens as punishment or correction for the following motives:

With death neither is repaired nor reformed; with suffering nobody is bettered; if suffering bettered, the people would be the most happy because it is the one that suffers most; evil is not combated with evil because it increases it; if the delinquent is killed because he caused harm to society, it is more sensible to make him benefit society to which he caused harm, putting him to produce. There is more logic when the delinquent is sterilized thus avoiding that a seed of bad quality continue to propagate.

The Fifth Commandment of the Law of God says: DO NOT KILL; with it no one is authorized to kill; if our moral and religious structure is governed by the Commandments of this Law we must not go against them.

We aspire to a government through which society exists for the Individual and works for the freedom and happiness of him, so that society may be the home on a great scale and just as it occurs to no father of family to kill his child because the latter executes the most perverse outrages, in the same form a government of the people must proceed. Only in the systems of government where the individual exists for society does the latter become his executioner and the other a slave.

Christian society for almost 2,000 years has been repeating the drama of Calvary and still is horrified at the governments that authorized the execution of the Christ, who was judged heard and sentenced with all the formalities of the Law; and how is it possible that there be Christians who desire to perpetuate the abominable system?

If the individual who offends is drunk both the government and society defend him for being under the action of an intoxicating drug, but this society does not know the action of supra-human elements and of many classes of forces that make of the individual an automaton; there are thousands of delinquents who could not explain for what reason they committed the offense. There are hundreds of prisoners in the jails who did not commit offense and are only paying for others who provide for their families and sustain him in jail; to jail go many fools who have no mourners nor anyone who occupies himself with them.

In the countries where the death penalty exists they have not put an end to offense. The republican systems were devised to give freedom to the citizen, without monarch masters and lords of life and estate of the associates and if in our republic the death penalty is implanted one must erase from our national anthem where it says that “the sovereign people” because the freedom that gave it life is attacked. Let it be remembered that all revolutionaries who fail are called delinquents and those who manage to triumph are paid as national heroes and then occupy the posts of command. It is painful to say it, but that is the hard and bitter truth.

We consider that there is less offense in the man who kills to defend his life or the honor of his wife and daughters than in the government that kills after innumerable considerations and by mandate of statutes.

We advocate that science sterilize the hardened delinquent; that just as vaccines were invented to prevent epidemics let others be invented so that that seed may not be reproduced.

We know that there is HUNGER, ILLNESS and IGNORANCE everywhere; we also know the methods to counteract that state of things but we synthesize, THE DAY THAT BOTH GOVERNMENTS AND PRIESTS OF ALL RELIGIONS AND OFFICIAL MEDICINE ALLOW THE FREE TEACHING OF SCIENTIFIC CHASTITY, THAT DAY MORE WILL HAVE BEEN DONE FOR HUMANITY THAN IN THE 10,000 years of the present civilization and thus these three scourges will be efficaciously combated, which so much produce for the human sciences and the political and social conformation of this bankrupt century.

The slavery of work and the free sale of the human being were abolished; now we are going to work to abolish a slavery worse than the previous ones and more difficult to extirpate inasmuch as the civilized one does not even know that he is a slave; incredible but it is a tremendous truth; that man opposes the improvement of man, above all when that transformation operates without dividends for anyone.

With the divulgation of this work, Samael Aun Weor is going to provoke a true social transformation. A new era has been born and with it the paladins are willing to sacrifice themselves totally for the poor suffering humanity. Transformation is revolution; it is the new that is born in overwhelming form. The bells of a new resurrection have sounded and the good and meek of all creeds will prove to the world that this is not dominated with cannons but is managed with ideas and that there exists a superior government that is beyond all speculation, “When evil triumphs and good succumbs, God intervenes to reestablish the moral order.”

Chapter Six: INTRODUCTION

There is no doubt that we are on the brink of a third WORLD CONFLAGRATION and for that we have written this book titled «THE SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY».

To the unwary reader it can seem rather strange that in this book we mix ECONOMIC and POLITICAL problems with the problems of PSYCHOLOGY and the DISSOLUTION OF THE I.

In the CODES of the ANTIQUATED OLD MORALITY there was no speaking of political parties, nor of ECONOMIC AND SOCIAL problems.

Times have changed and we are initiating a new era amid the august thundering of thought.

Now a REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC based on a REVOLUTIONARY PSYCHOLOGY is needed.

Without an ETHIC of depth, the best social and economic formulas are reduced to dust.

People say: First I. Second I. Third I.

Governors say: First I. Second I. Third I.

The I sabotages the REVOLUTIONARY ORDER. The I reduces to ashes the best political and economic formulas; for that it is necessary to study that destructive factor, that MY SELF, that SELF-SAME, if we truly want the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY.

THE PROBLEM OF THE I is a problem of PSYCHOLOGY and its study gives origin to the REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC of the NEW ERA.

SOCIETY is the EXTENSION of the INDIVIDUAL and what the INDIVIDUAL is, is SOCIETY, is the WORLD…

It is impossible to attain the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY if the INDIVIDUAL does not TRANSFORM HIMSELF.

It is impossible for the INDIVIDUAL to TRANSFORM HIMSELF if he does not concern himself with the dissolution of the I.

In this book we have written many saving formulas related to the economy and to the social problems, but we have also taught a REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC founded on a REVOLUTIONARY PSYCHOLOGY.

Every book has full right to have an underlying morality, that is obvious and for that no one is bothered; we have our own REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC based on the DISSOLUTION OF THE I.

The I and INFLATIONS, the I and the deflations of the currency, the I and the union, the I and all the problems related to capital and work, etc., etc., form a whole that in no way must we commit the error of dividing.

If we truly want the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY, we need to study in depth that I, that MY SELF, that SELF-SAME, and from its study is born in fact a new Ethic, a REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC.

It is impossible to attain the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION without a truly REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC.

In this book there is administrative economy and REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC. In this book we study the economic and social problems without disengaging from the ETHICAL factor.

The Economic, the political and the social can be TRANSFORMED through REVOLUTIONARY FORMULAS on condition of having as a base an ETHIC of new type.

It can seem strange to many readers the fact that in this book we teach MEDITATION.

ANALYSIS and profound MEDITATION constitute the basis of our DIDACTIC in this MOST SERIOUS question related to the DISSOLUTION OF THE I.

People have the mistaken custom of establishing an artificial abyss between the SPIRITUAL and the ECONOMIC. We cannot accept that mistaken custom because life is an INTEGRAL WHOLE that we must understand profoundly.

It is absurd to want the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY excluding the EXPERIENCE OF THE TRUTH.

THE SUBSTANCE OF THE REAL transforms us totally. The name we give to THAT which transforms does not matter; the important thing is that the INDIVIDUAL TRANSFORM HIMSELF.

SOCIETY is the EXTENSION OF THE INDIVIDUAL and if the INDIVIDUAL, if each INDIVIDUAL TRANSFORMS HIMSELF, society will transform itself totally.

In this book there is REVOLUTIONARY PSYCHOLOGY. REVOLUTIONARY ETHIC, and REVOLUTIONARY POLITICS.

There exists no contradiction between PSYCHOLOGY, ETHIC and POLITICS.

This TRIO constitutes an INTEGRAL whole that we must study very deeply if we truly want the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY.

Our book has therefore a new aspect; we look at all the problems of social life from a new angle, and we hope that our readers understand it thus.

If the SCOUNDRELS criticize us? If they mock the book? What does it matter to life and what to us?

There goes this book to the field of battle like a warrior of steel to unmask the TRAITORS and disconcert the tyrants before the solemn verdict of public conscience.

Times have changed and we are initiating a new era amid the august thundering of thought.

Chapter Seven: TRANSFORMATION AND REFORMS

More beautiful looks the living room of the house with new and beautiful furniture; rancid old men prefer to reform the old; they are conservatives, regressive and retardatary.

We prefer the new suit; we love to transform the attire; we know many people who prefer to mend their old rags; those people are reformers par excellence.

Reactionaries love to REFORM; to REVOLUTIONARIES it seems marvelous to TRANSFORM.

Social reform is the modified continuation of error; we prefer to struggle for the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION of HUMANITY.

The type of the REFORMER is worthy of pity; every reformer boasts of being a Genius; he is unaware that he is mending old rags.

The reformer is eaten by the moth of the past but he wants to modify what is rotten because he is conservative and reactionary one hundred percent.

The projects of the REFORMERS smell of “dotage” of decrepit old men. Society is full of REFORMERS; each one wishes to Reform himself in his own way.

The counter employee wants to be manager; the soldier wants to undergo a total reform and become a general; the street vendor desires to become owner of some store, etc., etc., etc.; all want to modify their life, to reform it.

REFORMERS abound everywhere but TRANSFORMERS are lacking; people love what is easy and TRANSFORMATION is very difficult.

Current decrepit and degenerate society lives from Reform to Reform and this they call progress, culture, evolution, etc., even when thousands of persons succumb in misery.

The KNOW-IT-ALLS of this epoch are the result of many REFORMS and as is natural they boast of SUPERCIVILIZED and ULTRAMODERN, even when they are not capable of fabricating an artificial vegetable seed with possibilities of becoming a tree.

The men of the “OLD GUARD,” and the “REBELS OF THE NEW WAVE” live in conflict, but these little gentlemen of ROCK are only the modified continuation of the old mistaken customs.

People live a sedentary, automatic, mechanical, boring life and want to modify it, reform it, to continue with that same thing but in different form.

Human reason is no longer capable of thinking spontaneously; it is degenerated and does nothing but repeat like parrots, everything it has stored in the warehouse of memory.

When someone challenges us we immediately respond with what we have stored in memory, but if that fails, we are lost because we are no longer capable of answering.

Memory seems rather a sepulcher of ideas, memories, theories, etc.

Thought is the foolish flame that comes out from that sepulcher.

Modern Society believes itself very advanced but really it is stagnant.

The Reformers do nothing but move and remove the black waters of the well; the Reformers do not like new waters.

The False Education that children receive, the decadent and even perverse art, the malignant example of the Elders, etc., have made of each modern citizen a super civilized KNOW-IT-ALL who causes laughter.

All human beings are relating to one another mutually and from this Inter-relation results Society; if the individual stagnates and corrupts himself, it is clear that society will stagnate and corrupt itself.

Reformers want to modify what is corrupted, rotten; reform is the modified continuation of error.

We need A SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION; a Radical, Total and definitive transformation is urgent.

The fundamental cause of individual and social stagnation, is in the mind.

We are Rancid, clumsy, foolish, because we live at all hours reasoning stupidities that seem to us brilliant, and nonsenses without any sense; we believe ourselves very wise because at all hours we are comparing, judging, calculating, weighing, etc., etc., etc.

If we truly want to TRANSFORM OURSELVES TOTALLY we need to exhaust the process of thinking, not to elaborate, not to project more, to arrive at calm and total silence of thought.

If we truly want to free ourselves from these stupid messes of the mind, we need to LOVE; only true LOVE can transform us radically.

The Substance of LOVE produces permanent REVOLUTION: The Substance of LOVE originates Radical changes.

LOVE is not product of the unfaithful memory; LOVE can never be the product of MECHANICAL REASONING.

The MARVELOUS SYMBIOSIS of LOVE and SOCIETY produces RADICAL, TOTAL and DEFINITIVE REVOLUTIONARY TRANSFORMATION.

Neither hatred, NOR the REVOLUTIONS OF BLOOD AND LIQUOR can ever produce SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION.

No Social Reformer will ever be able to make a better world; only the conflagration of love can burn the social rottenness and make a better world.

We need the CONFLAGRATION of LOVE to Transform the World; we need fire of LOVE to illuminate society.

The cold, insipid, complicated Codes change nothing, transform nothing.

All the best social projects serve no purpose, all the best political principles, if they are not written with the fire of LOVE.

True REVOLUTION is the result of TRANSFORMATION; only the tempests of love can transform the Individual and Society.

Chapter Eight: LATIN AMERICAN DEMOCRACY

We need to have FAITH in Latin American Democracy, but CONSCIOUS FAITH, not only the FAITH of the charcoal-burner.

Unfortunately in these instants of World crisis there exists in our continent doubt about the positive effectiveness of this form of coexistence.

Hurricane-like REVOLUTIONARY winds beat at these instants our beloved LATIN AMERICAN land.

People are dissatisfied and anguished; there is hunger and people with hunger do not believe in DEMOCRACY.

THE ECONOMIC SOCIAL STATE OF AMERICA is disastrous, and the POLITICAL STATE is cruel and pitiless.

DEMOCRACY develops DIALECTICALLY, and if we want to understand in INTEGRAL form ITS ESSENCE and its PHILOSOPHY we must study it profoundly.

It is absurd to say that Democracy has developed correctly; the reality is that today Democracy is only an IDEAL, a longing, a goal where we want to arrive sooner or later.

If we really love Democracy we must not have the FAITH of the Charcoal-burner; we need to open our eyes to the reality of life and have FAITH, much FAITH, but CONSCIOUS FAITH.

LATIN AMERICAN DEMOCRACY has its blights, its dangers, its poisons and also its antidotes; to point them out, to indicate them, is really our duty.

It is URGENT, it is necessary to study the various ingredients, contained in that GOLDEN CUP that is called DEMOCRACY.

DEMOCRACY is not the Government of the Minority. DEMOCRACY is not the Government of the Majority. DEMOCRACY is the Government of all, in which Majorities and Minorities are wisely reflected.

Society is the extension of the individual, and what the individual is, is society.

If we truly want a Society of free men, we need the individual to become free.

We cannot intelligently conceive a perfect society, master of its own destinies, if the individual is not perfect and master of his own destinies.

We cannot conceive a society without Governments while the individual does not know how to Govern himself.

The Supreme Democratic aspiration is a World without Governments.

The current INDIVIDUAL does not know how to Govern himself and for that he needs to be Governed.

The true holder of public power is the people in their totality and not one or several predestined ones.

We do not deny that power can be Delegated, but we do affirm that power is a concession from the People.

The Democratic idea is compatible with all forms of Democratic Government.

The Democratic Idea is not compatible with the forms of Totalitarian Governments, whether of extreme Right or extreme Left.

Democracy is something more than a Government; Democracy is the social order wisely established by free men and women.

When Democracy reaches Perfection, Governments will disappear as useless and unnecessary.

Democracy is the People wisely organized. Democracy is also not the mistaken support that the deceived people give to a lifelong Dictator.

Democracy is the conscientive state of every truly free man.

We cannot conceive Democracy without humanistic LONGINGS.

We cannot conceive democracy without Social Guarantees.

The Democratic State is the agent in all the activities of the people.

Democratic Government depends on the Will of the People.

Dictatorships of Extreme Right or Extreme Left drown public opinion in blood.

Democracy can never be a STATIC state; Democracy is essentially DYNAMIC.

Democracy cannot be encased within a rigid mold. DEMOCRACY cannot be bottled. Democracy must flow freely with the sweet flowing of Thought.

We must point out that until now in Latin America, democracy is only a longing, a hope, an ideal and nothing more.

We need to have FAITH, much FAITH, but CONSCIOUS FAITH to develop dialectically THE LATIN AMERICAN DEMOCRATIC SOCIAL STRUCTURE.

LATIN AMERICA is a beautiful girl who walks the path of life, but two horrible MONSTERS stalk her in the depth of the forest…, the two names of those Monsters are: CAPITALISM and COMMUNISM.

Chapter Nine: LATIN AMERICAN SOCIAL STRUCTURE

On the type of individual relations, depends the type of Society; on the type of Society depends the type of Government.

Society and Government are really the Extension of the Individual; if the Individual is cruel, egoistic, greedy, envious, etc., etc., etc., so will he be in his relations, so will he behave with others, and so will others behave with him; then it is Logical that Society will be cruel, egoistic, greedy, envious, etc., etc., etc.

If with all our heart we want a just and Perfect Government, we need to put an end to the PSYCHOLOGICAL I.

The I is a knot in cosmic energy, a knot that must be untied.

The I is a bundle of desires, appetites, fears, egoism, hatred, cruelty, pride, greed, avarice, etc., etc., etc.

The I sabotages the Revolutionary order; the I engenders pain and misery everywhere.

The type of social bonds determines the type of Society and the type of Society is the determining factor of the type of Government.

If the type of Social bonds is Egoistic, Greedy, cruel and pitiless, so will be the type of SOCIETY and the type of GOVERNMENT.

We need to create in LATIN AMERICA a Society without classes; that is only possible by dissolving the PSYCHOLOGICAL I, understanding very deeply what the Process of Pride is, what the process of greed, envy, hatred, Egoism, etc., etc., etc., is.

We need to be sincere with ourselves if we really want a better World.

Charity is not a thing that we can put on the table; charity does not exist; LOVE is not another thing that we can put on the table. LOVE does not exist; Altruism is not a thing that we can put on the table; altruism does not exist.

Really only with COMPREHENSION can we acquire those virtues; it is Logical that if we comprehend in depth that we are cruel, charity is born in us; if we truly comprehend that we are persons full of HATRED, LOVE is born in us, and if we comprehend the harm we do with EGOISM, ALTRUISM is born in us.

We need to transform the Social Structure; we need a Society without classes, and that is only possible by putting an end to the factors that produce exploitation of man by man; said factors are within ourselves.

It is clear that there exist many formulas to create a better world, but all those formulas will serve no purpose if the I sabotages them with the tares of greed, egoism, exploitation, envy, pride, etc., etc., etc.

We need to transform the LATIN AMERICAN Social Structure and for that we must begin by transforming ourselves; it is impossible to transform Society if the Individual does not transform himself.

We must use saving formulas to transform the Social structure of Latin America, but we must also produce within our own mind, a radical and definitive change.

There exist within human Society many dynamic and useful elements that our Social structure miserably stifles; thus Society loses many talents and aptitudes.

The cultural structures of all Latin America have cut the wings of many Geniuses.

We need fewer rigid norms and more social mobility; only thus is it possible, the REVOLUTION in march.

Political economy has failed totally; an administrative economy is needed.

The social structure of Latin America with its absurd rigidity, is an obstacle for Social Mobility and economic development.

The Marvelous resources of Intelligence are being lost in Latin America due to the scarce possibilities of cultivating it.

New Universities are needed for New Professions; the classical professions are already too exploited.

A broad and polyfaceted education is needed, direct and useful; opportunities are needed for the cultivation of all Intelligences; it is absurd not to cultivate all intelligences.

Specialists of all classes in the labor force are needed if we really want to wisely develop our economy.

A plastic, elastic, ductile education is needed, susceptible of adaptation to all the circumstances of practical life.

A new type of Education in accord with the new era is needed; a really Democratic education is needed.

Primary and Secondary Schools must produce technical specialists in every labor force, and not hungry high-school graduates without preparation to earn a living.

The national Economy cannot grow when it lacks professionals and technicians in sufficient quantity.

Forty percent of the Latin American Population is Illiterate.

Fifty percent of Latin American children cannot be educated due to the lack of Public Education Schools.

In the next twenty-five years, ninety million persons must be incorporated into the active population; twenty-five million will come to replace those who die or retire from work; sixty-five million new persons will need jobs and possibilities of working.

Latin American Governments must prepare themselves to solve the tremendous increase of the population in each country.

The Old Universities with the already classical professions of Physicians, lawyers and Engineers, turn out now antiquated and retardatary because the population is increasing in alarming proportions, and not all human beings have vocation for those classical professions.

New Universities are needed for the new professions; it is necessary to understand the sense of the new Era.

Chapter Ten: INDUSTRIALIZATION OF LATIN AMERICA

The industrialization of LATIN AMERICA is not incompatible with the effective development of primary production.

LATIN AMERICA needs modern machinery, instruments of work, and technicians in sufficient quantity to develop industry and raise the standard of living.

If Latin America wants to raise the standard of living, it needs to take advantage of all the progresses of modern technique and produce technicians on a great scale.

It is also necessary to intensify agriculture and industrialize the country taking advantage for that of all the advances of modern technique.

In the countries in which the per capita income is inferior to One Hundred Dollars, the value added by the enterprises of the primary sector represents an elevated percentage of the national income which passes forty percent, while the tertiary sector represents thirty percent more or less, and that of the secondary sector less than twenty percent. From here the importance of agriculture in all the countries on the way to development.

The income of the peasant people, (people exploited and humiliated by the powerful), is lower than that of the citizens of all the other sectors of the nations.

Eighty or ninety percent of the agricultural population corresponds to half of the national income.

The agrarian structures of Latin America are inadequate for the new era; an agrarian transformation and very good technique are needed, to wisely utilize all the natural resources.

The low agricultural productivity and the scarcity of occupation for the country man, are due to the very bad agrarian structures.

One thing is the agrarian resources and another is the capital. Natural resources have their situation and geographic extension.

Really natural resources have the characteristic of being exhausted in some sense.

Capital could not be exhausted; a capital can be kept for indefinite time without being exhausted; a million dollars can be kept in the bank for a long time without being exhausted and earning interest.

On the other hand natural resources in the long run are exhausted; any petroleum mine comes to be exhausted; any mine of silver, gold or copper, at last is exhausted.

The cultivation lands in the long run become impoverished and are exhausted; the populations of fish have a limit and at last, due to its scarcity, fish is put at prohibitive prices.

Technological processes are inconceivable without the material resources; these resources have variable degrees of fabrication and transport until being totally converted into consumption goods and services.

Economic activity is intimately connected with all the industries of resources; if we want to improve the economic situation of all LATIN AMERICAN countries, we need to industrialize them on a great scale.

It is necessary to begin by intensifying the industry of resources and then to culminate with the diversified industrial development.

The peasant people of Latin America many centuries ago began the Initial stage of the Industry of resources and need urgently to reach diversified Industrialization.

Take into account that the national income of each LATIN AMERICAN country has oscillated in the last years between forty and sixty percent annually from the industry of resources.

In the United States the thirteen percent annual of national income from the industry of resources, is indicating that already the United States reached diversified industrial development.

In other words we shall say that while in Latin America almost all the work is done by the arms of the workers, in the United States most of the work is done by machines.

While in Latin America we have to buy airplanes, ships, cars, machinery abroad, in the United States everything is fabricated.

It is logical that if we Latin Americans want to reach the development of the diversified Industry, we need urgently improvements of agriculture and Cattle raising, and of other basic industries.

It is impossible to successfully raise a building without good foundations; thus also it is impossible to reach diversified industrial development if we do not organize the bases; only through the bases does one reach the summit.

We need to export raw materials to obtain other raw materials; we need to export basic products and import basic products, that is Logical.

It is urgent to understand that we must not try to grow at the expense of foreign trade; we must only extract from foreign trade the necessary elements for interior development and that is all.

If we forget this idea of interior growth and only think of growing at the expense of foreign trade, we shall always be slaves of foreign powers.

The entirety of the national capital must be employed for the benefit of the nation and not only for the egoistic benefit of a few privileged ones.

Each country must be industrialized; money must be used to improve the standard of living of the hungry peoples.

Great sums must be spent or rather INVESTED in the various industrial, primary and service branches, to improve the economic situation of each Latin American country.

Governments need to wisely accumulate great capitals with the purpose of intelligently distributing them in industrial investments.

It is necessary to better regulate, and even limit the importation of unnecessary luxury articles, which signify useless expenditure of the Latin American capital.

We need internal saving to attain total industrialization.

We need to grow inward by the path of industrialization; only thus shall we manage to emancipate ourselves from foreign masters.

The Great foreign powers exercise colonialist action keeping the Latin American countries producers of raw materials, in a primary state of economy without permitting them to develop.

We need urgently to attain the parity and stabilization of the prices of the raw materials that we export, since only thus shall we be able to attain industrialization and the acquisition of every class of machinery.

While the prices of all the products we export continue oscillating with growing tendency to fall, agricultural production will be poor for lack of agricultural machinery, and all industry, and all national progress will be poor and mediocre.

Each country is a house that must be well supplied and is only supplied having money, and only has money by selling its products well.

If the inhabitants of the house do not have money, the house will be poor and miserable; it is necessary to sell well our export products, if we want to have a rich and strong national house.

Latin America needs multilateral and diversified trade for its economic development.

Latin America needs Free International Commerce and without absurd obstacles, without exploiting customs.

The system of Customs is harming free commerce and obstructing the economic development of each country.

FREE LATIN AMERICAN COMMERCE without customs of any kind would allow great and small merchants to make life cheap by selling very cheap.

In other times the borders and roads were full of assailants who robbed Stagecoaches and killed travelers; now the borders are full of uniformed bandits who assault travelers and rob them, with the approval of Governments.

The customs system invented by the SECRET ENEMY and the BLACK MAGISTRACY, is uniformed banditry.

We need the stabilization of the prices of basic products; the adjustment of the productive structures that the stabilization of prices demands is a problem that buyers and producers must solve in mutual agreement.

It is also necessary that the developed countries buy equally from all the underdeveloped countries, without having preferences for those unconditional countries that are within their orbit of influence.

It is necessary that the Great powers facilitate to the underdeveloped countries the export of all their raw materials and fabricated articles; this is only possible through purchase and commerce treaties.

All the Latin American Nations must elaborate and sign a treaty to intelligently avoid ruinous and fratricidal competitions between the brother peoples of Latin America.

The economic competition of the Latin American Countries among themselves, only brings fall of the prices of raw materials, ruin, damage for all the brother Ibero-American countries.

Chapter Eleven: COMMUNISM

Communism does not exist even in the Soviet Union; only the SOCIALISM of MARXIST-LENINIST type exists (conventionally called COMMUNISM).

The Supreme aspiration of MARXISM-LENINISM is to reach COMMUNISM.

Real communism would be a society without classes, without exploitation of man by man, without state, where each one contributes according to his capacity and receives according to his necessity.

But the Soviet Union has not arrived at this ideal communism. The Soviet Union has only the socialism that pretends to be the transitional stage toward communism.

And this socialism has degenerated into the worst dictatorship of history. The Soviet socialism has murdered millions of human beings. The Soviet socialism has created vast concentration camps where millions of dissidents are imprisoned.

The Soviet socialism has destroyed individual freedom. The Soviet socialism has destroyed freedom of religion. The Soviet socialism has destroyed freedom of thought.

In the Soviet Union nobody can criticize the government. In the Soviet Union nobody can have a religion. In the Soviet Union nobody can think differently from what the government dictates.

This is not communism. This is not socialism. This is totalitarian dictatorship at the service of a new caste of bureaucrats that oppresses worse than the old czars.

Marxism-Leninism started with the great hope of liberating humanity from capitalist exploitation. It has ended with the great reality of oppressing humanity worse than capitalism oppressed it.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists reject communism. We reject it not only because it is contrary to our Christian principles, but also because it has failed in practice.

Communism has failed economically. The communist countries are poor while the capitalist countries are rich.

Communism has failed politically. The communist countries are totalitarian dictatorships while the democratic countries respect freedom.

Communism has failed humanely. The communist countries have murdered hundreds of millions of human beings.

Communism has failed spiritually. The communist countries are materialist; they deny the spirit, they deny religion, they deny the higher values.

Christian Socialism offers what communism promised but did not fulfill: social justice with individual freedom, equality with respect for diversity, brotherhood with respect for individuality.

We do not advocate violent revolution. We advocate gradual transformation through political action, education, dialogue.

We do not advocate abolition of property. We advocate its just regulation.

We do not advocate State omnipotence. We advocate harmonious balance between the State and individual initiative.

We do not advocate atheism. We advocate spirituality, religion, faith.

These are the principles of Christian Socialism, the alternative to communism, the path of the future.

MARXIST EXTREMISM has converted many countries into seas of blood and liquor.

MARXIST EXTREMISM being the result of a reaction against Capitalism is in fact reactionary.

Chapter Twelve: FASCISM

The term FASCISM comes from the word FASCIO and has its origin in the LATIN term FASCIS whose meaning is BUNDLE or set; this reminds us of the BUNDLE of rods with the axe, symbol of Divinity, of authority, of unity in force.

In Ancient Rome of the illustrious Caesars the axe represented the authority of the Lictors and of force in unity.

Mussolini took this Roman symbol and made it the symbol of his political movement. From the symbol came the name fascism.

Fascism arose in Italy in 1919, founded by Benito Mussolini. Mussolini was a former socialist who had turned to nationalism after the First World War.

Mussolini took advantage of the social and economic chaos of postwar Italy to win power. In 1922, with the March on Rome, he obtained the position of Prime Minister.

Once in power, Mussolini transformed Italy into a fascist dictatorship. He abolished political parties, suppressed press freedom, persecuted opponents.

Mussolini wanted to resurrect the Roman Empire. He invaded Ethiopia, Albania, Greece. He allied himself with Hitler in the Second World War.

The result was disaster. Italy was destroyed by the war. Mussolini was assassinated by partisans in 1945.

Fascism died with Mussolini, but its ghost continues to wander. There are still fascists in Italy and in other countries.

Fascism is characterized by: extreme nationalism, racism, militarism, anti-communism, anti-democracy, dictatorship of a single party, leader cult, glorification of violence.

Fascism is opposed to communism but is equally totalitarian. Fascism is opposed to capitalism but allies with great capital. Fascism is opposed to democracy but pretends to represent the people.

Fascism is a system of contradictions, of deceptions, of demagoguery. Fascism uses populist rhetoric to win the masses, but it serves the interests of the powerful.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists reject fascism. We reject it because it is contrary to our principles of love, freedom, justice and brotherhood.

We reject the extreme nationalism that converts the homeland into idol. We love our homeland, but we do not hate other homelands.

We reject racism that considers some races superior to others. We believe in the equality of all human beings before God.

We reject militarism that glorifies war. We advocate peace, dialogue, brotherhood among peoples.

We reject the dictatorship of a single party that suppresses freedom. We advocate plural democracy.

We reject the leader cult that converts the man into god. We advocate the equality of all citizens before the law.

We reject the glorification of violence. We advocate non-violence, Ahimsa, Christic love.

MUSSOLINI was a foolish ambitious and proud; he wanted to resurrect the Roman Empire through Astuteness and Violence; he fell like a Pig in the mud.

Once the DUCE was dead, the structure of the party remained without meaning, without mystique, and fell like a tower struck down converted into cosmic dust.

Chapter Thirteen: NAZISM

The word NAZI is a contraction of the GERMAN NATIONAL SOCIALIST WORKERS PARTY.

Nazi IDEOLOGY is intimately related to Fascist ideology; it seems as if NAZISM had taken its ideas from the FASCIST source, to then adapt them and reelaborate them intelligently for its purposes.

Nazism arose in Germany after the First World War, founded by Adolf Hitler. Hitler took advantage of the social, economic and political chaos of postwar Germany to win power.

In 1933, Hitler obtained the position of Chancellor of Germany. Immediately he transformed Germany into a Nazi dictatorship. He abolished political parties, suppressed press freedom, persecuted opponents.

Hitler implemented an aggressive nationalist policy. He invaded Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland. He provoked the Second World War.

Hitler implemented a racist policy of extermination. He murdered six million Jews in the gas chambers and concentration camps. He murdered millions of gypsies, homosexuals, disabled, political dissidents.

The result was the greatest catastrophe of history. Sixty million dead in the Second World War. Cities destroyed. Economies in ruins.

Nazism was defeated militarily in 1945. Hitler committed suicide. Germany was occupied and divided.

But Nazism, like fascism, did not totally die. There are still neo-Nazis in Germany and in other countries.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists reject Nazism. We reject the brutal racism that murdered millions of innocents. We reject the imperialist aggression that destroyed Europe. We reject the lying propaganda that deceived a whole people.

We reject any form of totalitarianism, whether of the right or of the left. We advocate freedom, democracy, plurality, dialogue.

We reject any form of ethnic hatred. We advocate the brotherhood of all human races.

We reject any form of religious persecution. We advocate full freedom of religion.

We reject any form of glorification of violence. We advocate non-violence, peace, love.

Christ taught us: “Love thy enemies.” The Nazis violated this commandment with their genocidal hatred. We must not imitate them.

The Latin American Christian Socialism is the antithesis of Nazism. While Nazism preached racial hatred, we preach human brotherhood. While Nazism preached war, we preach peace. While Nazism preached dictatorship, we preach democracy.

THE GERMAN SOCIALIST PARTY still exists in GERMANY, but HITLER and his followers left in GERMANY a very painful memory.

While there exist within each individual the factors of cruelty, greed, ambition, etc., there will be wars in the world.

Chapter Fourteen: MILITARISM

Militarism was born in America after 1810; we speak of Militarism in its known form of Ibero-American type, but there is no doubt that the powerful prehispanic civilizations of America knew militarism in different form.

Modern Militarism was inherited from Spain; from Spain we inherited the Oligarchic Military systems.

After independence, the new Latin American countries adopted the military structures of Spain. The military became a privileged caste in Latin American countries.

The military have taken power many times through coups d’état. They have established military dictatorships in almost all Latin American countries.

The military dictatorships have generally served the interests of the great landowners and great capitalists. They have oppressed workers and peasants.

But not all military are bad. There are also good military, who serve the people and not the powerful. There are military who love democracy and respect freedom.

The problem is not the existence of armies. Armies are necessary to defend the country. The problem is the politicization of armies, the use of armies for political ends.

The army must be at the service of the people, not at the service of the powerful. The army must defend the country, not oppress the citizens.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate a fully democratic army. An army that respects the constitution. An army that obeys the elected civilian government. An army that defends the freedom of the people.

We advocate that the military do not interfere in politics. The military must dedicate themselves to their professional duties, not get involved in political disputes.

We advocate the formation of military with high moral, intellectual and spiritual education. Military who are not only soldiers, but also citizens, men of culture, men of God.

We advocate that the military be well paid, well treated, well respected. They must not be tempted to use their power to enrich themselves.

We advocate that the military have the right to vote and participate in civilian life when they are not in active service. But while they are in active service, they must remain neutral politically.

We advocate that the laws limit military expenditure. The countries of Latin America spend too much on weapons that they do not need. That money would be better spent on education, health, social welfare.

We advocate disarmament agreements among Latin American countries. There are no real reasons for the Latin American countries to be arming themselves against each other. We are brother peoples and we must live in peace.

The Latin American Christian Socialism advocates a militarism at the service of democracy and peace, not a militarism that oppresses and threatens.

We believe that the Army must be absolutely Democratic.

The people love the army, trust the army and it turns out stupid that the army turn its weapons against the people.

Chapter Fifteen: PEACE

Mussolini said: PEACE IS A BRANCH OF OLIVE THAT HANGS FROM THE EDGE OF ELEVEN MILLION BAYONETS.

Thus speak the personages of the shadow, the perverse, the evil; thus spoke the perverse Mussolini, the DUCE.

Peace is not maintained by bayonets. Peace is maintained by mutual love, by mutual respect, by mutual understanding.

The bayonets are necessary as a deterrent against aggression, but they are not the basis of peace. The basis of peace is the goodwill of peoples.

Currently the world lives in a state of armed peace. The great powers possess thousands of atomic bombs that can destroy humanity. But this is not peace, it is permanent threat of war.

True peace requires the disarmament of nations. True peace requires the dissolution of the alliances of military blocs.

True peace requires that each nation respect the sovereignty of others. True peace requires that each nation respect the human rights of its citizens.

But all this depends ultimately on the human heart. While the human heart is filled with hatred, with greed, with ambition, there will be no peace.

To have peace in the world, we must first have peace in our hearts. We must dissolve the I that produces hatred, greed, ambition.

Christ taught us: “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God.” To be peacemakers we must be peaceful within ourselves.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists work for peace. We work for the internal peace of each individual through the dissolution of the I. We work for the social peace of each country through justice and democracy. We work for international peace through dialogue and cooperation.

We advocate that the Latin American countries be a zone of peace. We advocate that there be no wars among Latin American countries.

We advocate that Latin American countries promote peace in the world. We advocate that Latin American countries mediate in international conflicts.

We advocate that Latin American countries reject atomic weapons. We advocate that Latin America be a denuclearized zone.

We advocate that Latin American countries reduce their armed forces to the minimum necessary for defense.

We advocate that Latin American countries dedicate to social development the money saved on arms.

Only thus can Latin America become an example of peace for the world. Only thus can Latin America contribute to world peace.

Peace is the most precious treasure of humanity. Without peace there is no welfare, there is no progress, there is no happiness.

Nature, deprived of the ASKOKIN of the ANIMALS, appealed to War to snatch away from us its food.

We are not in favor of animal sacrifices. We are sure that only by dissolving the PSYCHOLOGICAL I, can we liberate the sacred ASKOKIN that nature needs for its food.

Chapter Sixteen: HUMAN PROBLEMS

The Luciferic intellect, astute and repugnant, creates problems but is not capable of solving them.

There exist tons of Theories that solve nothing and complicate everything; the vital problems of existence continue as always and the world is very close to the THIRD WORLD WAR.

The intellect is good for analyzing problems, but it is not good for solving them. To solve them another faculty is needed: intuition.

Intuition is the direct knowledge of truth. Intuition does not reason, does not analyze, does not calculate. Intuition simply sees the truth.

Intuition is born in the heart, not in the brain. Intuition arises when the mind is silent, when thought has ceased.

Modern man has developed the intellect excessively and has atrophied intuition. For that he is incapable of solving the great human problems.

To solve the great human problems we need to develop intuition. We need to silence the mind. We need to listen to the voice of the heart.

The great wise men of antiquity had developed intuition. They saw the truth directly, without need to reason. They solved the great problems through intuition.

Plato, Pythagoras, Solomon, Buddha, Jesus, all had developed intuition. All saw the truth directly. All solved the great problems through intuition.

We must imitate the great wise men of antiquity. We must develop intuition. We must learn to see the truth directly.

For this we must practice meditation. We must learn to silence the mind. We must learn to listen to the voice of the heart.

When we have developed intuition, the great human problems are solved automatically. There are no more problems for the man who has developed intuition.

The problems are inventions of the mind. When the mind is silent, the problems disappear. When the mind is active, the problems multiply.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party advocates the development of intuition through meditation. We advocate the silence of the mind. We advocate listening to the voice of the heart.

Only thus can the great human problems be solved. Only thus can we make a truly human, truly just, truly happy world.

When the battling of thought ends, intuition is born and fear ends.

INTUITION dissolves the problems however difficult they may be.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party advocates the development of intuition through meditation.

Chapter Seventeen: FOREST AND HUNTING RESOURCES

THE INTELLECTUAL ANIMAL falsely called man has proposed himself with unheard-of cruelty to devastate the planet on which we live destroying the forests and villainously murdering —sometimes from greed, others from morbid sport— the precious animals that populate the woods.

Before the English conquerors arrived in the UNITED STATES, the Indians lived in peace and fed themselves by cultivating the lands or hunting the indispensable for eating.

The Indians did not hunt for sport. They hunted only for necessity. They respected nature. They considered the forests sacred. They considered the animals their brothers.

When the English conquerors arrived, they began to massacre the buffalo for sport. They massacred millions of buffaloes. They almost extinguished the species.

They began to cut down the forests to plant industrial crops. They destroyed millions of acres of forest.

They began to murder the Indians for stealing their lands. They murdered millions of Indians. They almost extinguished the original population of North America.

This is the brutal history of European colonization of America. This is the savage destruction that the so-called “civilized” brought to the “virgin” lands.

And this destruction continues today. In all Latin America the forests continue to be cut down. The animals continue to be murdered. The lands continue to be devastated.

Sport hunting is one of the worst forms of human cruelty. The hunters murder for pleasure animals that have done nothing to them. They murder beautiful creatures that have full right to live.

Industrial deforestation is one of the worst forms of destruction of the environment. The forests are essential for climate, for water, for soil, for life on earth.

When we cut down the forests, we destroy the natural balance. We cause droughts, floods, erosions, climatic changes. We harm not only ourselves but all future generations.

When we murder the wild animals, we destroy the natural balance. The species depend on each other. By destroying one species, we harm others.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the protection of forests and wild animals. We advocate the prohibition of sport hunting. We advocate the prohibition of indiscriminate deforestation.

We advocate the creation of vast national parks where forests and wild animals are absolutely protected. We advocate that these parks be inviolable.

We advocate the rational use of forests. The forests can be used by man, but in sustainable form, allowing them to regenerate.

We advocate the rational use of wild animals. The animals can be hunted for necessity, but in sustainable form, allowing the species to regenerate.

We advocate the education of the people about the importance of forests and wild animals. People must understand that forests and animals are essential for life.

We advocate severe punishments for those who destroy forests or murder protected animals.

It is unjust to permit that all humanity turn out victim of many calamities whose cause is found in the destroyers of nature.

Hunters and destroyers of forests are CRIMINALS of the worst kind.

Chapter Eighteen: FRUIT GROWING

Modern scientists with their KNOW-IT-ALL ATTITUDES are putting an end to the fruits that GREAT NATURE has given us for nourishment.

Today vegetable grafts are in fashion; North American scientists with their KNOW-IT-ALL ATTITUDES have made of the fruits a true feast for the eyes.

But these new fruits, although they look beautiful, have lost their vital nutritive properties. They are deceptive fruits: they appear beautiful but they nourish less than the natural fruits.

Nature created the fruits with all the necessary vital properties for the nourishment of man. When man manipulates the fruits through grafts and other procedures, the vital properties are lost.

The result is that the modern man eats more fruits but is worse nourished. His foods have lost the vital force that they had in the past.

This is one of the causes of the increase in modern illnesses. The bodies of men do not receive the vital nutrients they need.

It is necessary to return to natural fruits. It is necessary to abandon the manipulations of vegetable grafts. It is necessary to allow the fruits to be as nature created them.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the recovery of natural fruit growing. We advocate organic agriculture without artificial manipulations.

We advocate the prohibition of chemical pesticides that contaminate the foods. We advocate biological pest control.

We advocate the prohibition of chemical fertilizers that impoverish the soils. We advocate the use of organic fertilizers.

We advocate the cultivation of native varieties of fruits, well adapted to each region. We reject the imposition of foreign varieties that are not adapted.

We advocate the support to peasants who practice natural agriculture. We advocate that they receive credit, technical assistance, fair markets.

We advocate the education of consumers so that they know how to value natural fruits. We advocate that natural fruits be appreciated as treasures of life.

Nature is wise. Man is foolish. When man tries to improve nature, he generally worsens it.

Let us return to nature. Let us return to natural foods. Let us return to vital nourishment.

Only thus shall we have healthy bodies. Only thus shall we have clear minds. Only thus shall we have full lives.

There exist Radioactive Vital principles in the fruits, which are totally fundamental for the health of beings.

It is a crime against the people, to adulterate these vital principles.

Chapter Nineteen: COLLECTIVE FARMS

The path of violence is not the most indicated to transform the world, and that, precisely that, is the one the communists have chosen.

The collective farms have been made in Russia on the basis of blood and martyrdom.

Stalin in his eagerness to collectivize Soviet agriculture, murdered millions of peasants. The peasants who resisted collectivization were murdered, exiled to Siberia, sent to concentration camps.

The result was a terrible famine that killed millions more peasants. Soviet agriculture has never recovered from this catastrophe.

Even today, after decades of socialism, Soviet agriculture continues to be unproductive. The Soviet Union has to import grains from the capitalist countries.

This is the lamentable result of the violent imposition of collective farms in the Soviet Union.

The Christian Socialism does not advocate the violent imposition of any economic system. We advocate the voluntary cooperation of peasants.

Collective farms can be useful, if the peasants voluntarily decide to form them. But they cannot be useful if they are imposed by force.

The voluntary cooperation produces better results than the forced collectivization. The voluntary cooperation respects the dignity of the peasant.

We advocate the formation of voluntary cooperatives of peasants. The cooperatives allow the peasants to share work, resources, knowledge.

The cooperatives allow the small peasants to compete with the large agro-industrial enterprises. United they can buy machinery, hire technicians, sell at fair prices.

The state must encourage the formation of voluntary cooperatives. The state must offer credit, technical assistance, training.

But the state must not impose cooperatives. The peasants must be free to associate or not, according to their will.

Each peasant must own his land. The land must not belong to the state, nor to the collective, nor to the great landowners. The land must belong to the one who works it.

Within this framework of individual property, the peasants can voluntarily cooperate to obtain the benefits of collective action.

This is the Christian socialist alternative to the forced collectivization of Stalin and to the brutal latifundism of the great landowners.

We must remember that the MIND has many SUBCONSCIOUS terrains, strata and regions; we need to explore through MEDITATION, all those terrains of the mind, with the purpose of integrally understanding our errors.

Many times a defect disappears from the intellectual zone in which we live, but it continues existing in the other terrains of the mind; only by putting an end to our defects in all levels of the mind can we truly transform ourselves.

We must remember that the MIND has many SUBCONSCIOUS terrains, strata and regions; we need to explore through MEDITATION, all those terrains of the mind, with the purpose of integrally understanding our errors.

Chapter Twenty: THE BREAD OF EACH DAY

It is really lamentable the treatment given to wheat in our dear America.

The know-it-alls did not even respect this Divine grain, base of all healthy nutrition.

Wheat is one of the most ancient and important foods of humanity. Wheat has fed entire civilizations.

But modern science has manipulated wheat in all possible ways. It has created hybrid varieties, has used pesticides, has used chemical fertilizers, has refined the flour.

The result is that modern wheat has lost much of its nutritive value. Modern bread, made with refined flour, does not nourish like the bread of the past.

Modern bread is white, beautiful, but empty of vital nutrients. It is bread of appearance, not of substance.

The bread of the past was dark, with the complete grain, with all the nutritive parts of the wheat. The bread of the past was substantial, nourishing.

It is necessary to return to the natural bread. It is necessary to return to integral flour. It is necessary to return to the complete grain.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the recovery of natural bread. We advocate the prohibition of refined flour for general consumption.

We advocate the cultivation of native varieties of wheat, well adapted to each region. We reject the imposition of foreign hybrid varieties.

We advocate organic agriculture without pesticides nor chemical fertilizers. We advocate biological pest control.

We advocate the support to peasants who cultivate natural wheat. We advocate that they receive credit, technical assistance, fair markets.

We advocate the education of consumers about the importance of natural bread. We advocate that natural bread be appreciated as treasure of life.

We pray to the Father: “Give us this day our daily bread.” This bread must be natural, healthy, substantial.

It is not just that modern man eat artificial, devitalized, contaminated bread. It is not just that the daily bread, sacred symbol of nourishment, be corrupted by the greed of industries.

Let us return to natural bread. Let us return to natural nutrition. Let us return to the wisdom of our ancestors.

The Tyrants of the KREMLIN resorted to terror to oblige the peasants to deliver sufficient grain, and the party and the secret police (principal weapon of STALIN), liquidated millions of peasants.

It is stupid to want to obtain the daily bread with machine guns, however that is how USSR proceeds; that is the abominable communism.

Chapter 21: THE PARCELLING OF THE LANDS

MEXICO has all its lands parceled, and MEXICO is not communist.

The Parcelling of the lands is a question of simple common sense, a Vital necessity for humanity.

Each peasant must own his land. The land must not belong to the state, nor to the great landowners. The land must belong to the one who works it.

When the peasant owns his land, he works it with love. He cares for it as his treasure. He cultivates it with all his strength.

When the peasant does not own his land, he works it without love. He does not care for it. He cultivates it as little as possible.

For this the peasant property is more productive than collective property or latifundist property.

Mexico made its agrarian reform after the revolution of 1910. Mexico distributed the lands among the peasants. The result was an increase in agricultural production.

Mexico has not become communist. Mexico has remained a republic with private property. Mexico has demonstrated that agrarian reform is not communism.

Other Latin American countries must follow the example of Mexico. They must make their agrarian reforms. They must distribute the lands among the peasants.

But the agrarian reform must be fair, both with the peasants and with the previous owners. The previous owners must receive fair compensation for the lands that are taken from them.

The agrarian reform must be progressive, not violent. It must be done gradually, with respect for the rights of all.

The state must support the peasants who receive lands. It must offer credit, technical assistance, market for their products.

Without state support, the small peasants cannot succeed. With state support, the small peasants can prosper.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the parcelling of the lands. We advocate the agrarian reform. We advocate the support to small peasants.

We do not advocate the abolition of private property. We advocate that property be just, that it serve the social function of feeding humanity.

We do not advocate violent expropriation. We advocate fair purchase by the state, with fair compensation for previous owners.

So then, it is absurd that any DON FULANO or DON ZUTANO be converted into LANDOWNER and be made to be adored as a GOD, and enjoy at his ease the DROIT DU SEIGNEUR.

The lands must be parceled because the land belongs to the one who WORKS it.

Chapter 22: THE TRUTH

Many people believe in GOD and many people are atheists; they do not believe in God. There also exist many individuals who neither believe nor disbelieve; these latter try to behave well in life just in case there is a God.

We say that belief in GOD does not mean having experienced that which is GOD.

We say that denying GOD does not mean having experienced that which is GOD.

We say that doubting the existence of GOD does not mean having experienced the truth.

Belief, disbelief and skepticism are all states of the mind. They have nothing to do with the experience of the Truth.

The Truth is something that must be experienced. The Truth cannot be believed or denied. The Truth can only be experienced.

To experience the Truth, one must transcend the mind. One must transcend belief and disbelief. One must enter into the ecstasy.

In the ecstasy, the soul experiences the Truth directly. There is no need for theological arguments, nor for philosophical demonstrations.

The ecstasy is the direct experience of the Real. The ecstasy is the encounter of the soul with God.

But the ecstasy is not given to everyone. The ecstasy is given only to those who have prepared themselves through meditation, prayer, sanctification.

Modern man does not have the time nor the inclination for meditation, prayer, sanctification. For this modern man does not experience the Truth.

Modern man believes or disbelieves according to fashion. But neither believing nor disbelieving brings him close to the Truth.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the experience of the Truth through meditation, prayer, sanctification.

We do not advocate that all believe what we believe. We advocate that all seek the Truth in their own way.

We respect all religions, all philosophies, all paths that lead sincerely to the Truth.

What we reject is the dogmatism that pretends to impose its truth on others. What we reject is the materialist atheism that denies the very existence of Truth.

We affirm that the Truth exists. We affirm that the Truth can be experienced. We affirm that the experience of the Truth transforms the human being.

THE TRUTH, GOD, ALLAH, the TAO or however one wants to call it, is a series of always expansive experiences each time more and more significant.

THE TRUTH has nothing to do with beliefs nor with INCREDULITY.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the experience of the Truth through meditation, prayer, sanctification.

Chapter 23: COMMUNIST ARISTOCRACY

The Communist Party governs the Soviet Union; all decisions are taken by the Party; the State is of the Party; the Party is the STATE.

The Communist Party is the fatal Instrument of the dictatorship of the Proletariat.

But the Communist Party is not the proletariat. The Communist Party is a small elite that pretends to represent the proletariat.

In reality, the Communist Party has become a new aristocracy. The members of the Party enjoy privileges that the rest of the people do not enjoy.

The members of the Party have access to special houses, special cars, special schools, special hospitals, special stores.

The members of the Party have access to information that the rest of the people do not have. They have access to the foreign press, to forbidden books, to travels abroad.

The members of the Party have access to power. They occupy the important posts in the government, in the army, in the industry, in the culture.

The rest of the people, the proletariat in whose name the Party governs, lives in misery, in scarcity, in repression.

This is the communist aristocracy. This is the new ruling class that has emerged from the Marxist revolution.

The communist aristocracy is worse than the old aristocracy. The old aristocracy at least recognized that it was aristocracy. The communist aristocracy hypocritically denies that it is aristocracy.

The communist aristocracy hides behind the masks of equality, fraternity, proletarian government. But behind these masks there is the same exploitation as always.

The Soviet workers and peasants live worse than the Western workers and peasants. Despite all the propaganda, the reality is that communism has not improved the life of the people.

The Soviet workers have no right to strike. They have no right to form independent unions. They have no right to negotiate their salaries.

The Soviet peasants do not own their lands. They work in collective farms or in state farms. They receive miserable salaries.

The Soviet citizens do not have freedom of expression. They cannot criticize the government. They cannot have a religion. They cannot travel freely.

This is the communist paradise. This is the result of the Marxist revolution. This is what Castro Ruz wants to bring to Latin America.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists reject the communist aristocracy. We reject the totalitarian dictatorship in any form. We advocate authentic democracy, with freedom and social justice.

While there exists a single Mother of Family abandoned and with hunger, DEMOCRACY does not exist.

We need to create TRUE DEMOCRACY to stop the brutalizing march of the MARXIST-LENINIST hordes.

Chapter 24: CAPITAL

KARL MARX said: PRIVATE CAPITAL IS A ROBBERY OF THE PEOPLE. We say: STATE CAPITAL IS ALSO A ROBBERY OF THE PEOPLE.

THE MARXIST-LENINIST SYSTEM IS FOUNDED ON STATE CAPITAL. IN RUSSIA THE CAPITAL BELONGS TO THE STATE.

But the state capital is no better than private capital. The state capital is administered by bureaucrats who do not have direct interest in the productivity of the enterprise.

The bureaucrats who administer state capital seek their own benefit, not the benefit of the enterprise or of the workers.

The bureaucrats who administer state capital have no incentive to be efficient. They receive their salary regardless of the productivity of the enterprise.

The result is that the Soviet state enterprises are inefficient. They produce little and badly. They waste resources.

The Soviet workers do not have incentive to work hard. They receive a fixed salary regardless of their productivity. They cannot become owners of the enterprise.

The Soviet consumers do not have variety of products. The state enterprises produce only what the state decides, not what the consumers want.

The state capitalism is the worst form of capitalism. The state capitalism combines the rigidity of state bureaucracy with the inefficiency of monopoly.

The private capitalism, despite all its defects, at least allows individual initiative and competition. The state capitalism eliminates both.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists reject both private capitalism and state capitalism in their pure forms. We advocate a mixed system.

We advocate that the capital belong to the workers of the enterprise. We advocate that the workers participate in the management and the profits.

We advocate that the state regulate the economy, but not own all the enterprises. We advocate that the state guarantee social justice, but not eliminate individual initiative.

We advocate cooperatives of workers as principal form of economic organization. The cooperative belongs to the workers, is managed by the workers, distributes the profits among the workers.

The cooperative combines the advantages of private property (individual initiative, competition) with the advantages of collective property (social justice, equality).

The cooperative is the Christian socialist solution to the conflict between capital and labor.

THE SOVIET STATE CAPITALISM and the PRIVATE CAPITALISM are two frightful and horrible thieves who rob the CAPITAL and the WORK of the workers.

The hour has come for the workers to combat for their rights; it is necessary to know that the workers have marvelous weapons to combat the tyrants, strikes, slowdowns, etc.

900 Million Dead

MAO TSE TUNG, the ABOMINABLE MONSTER of Chinese Communism says: WAR WILL CAUSE FRIGHTFUL UNHAPPINESS. PROBABLY 900 MILLION PERSONS WILL PERISH. HOWEVER, THE WORLD ALSO WILL BE TRANSFORMED.

“IMPERIALISM ALSO WILL BE DESTROYED AND UPON ITS RUINS A NEW CIVILIZATION WILL ARISE. THIS WILL BE BENEFICIAL. THE NEW GENERATION WILL REPLACE THE 900 MILLION PERSONS THAT WILL HAVE PERISHED.”

These are the words of Mao Tse Tung, the founder of Chinese communism. These are the words of a monster who considers it normal that 900 million human beings die in a war.

What kind of human being can pronounce such words? Only a man without conscience, without heart, without humanity.

Mao Tse Tung is a man without conscience. Mao Tse Tung is responsible for the death of tens of millions of Chinese in his collectivization campaigns and his cultural revolution.

Mao Tse Tung wants to extend Chinese communism to the entire world, even if it costs 900 million lives.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists are horrified by these words of Mao Tse Tung. We reject any ideology that considers acceptable the death of millions for an abstract ideal.

Human life is sacred. Each human being is precious. Each death is a tragedy.

We cannot accept that 900 million human beings die so that a new civilization may be born. The new civilization must be born without death, without violence, without war.

If a civilization needs the death of 900 million human beings to be born, that civilization is not worth being born. That civilization is the negation of all human and divine value.

We advocate the gradual, peaceful, voluntary transformation of society. We advocate the change through dialogue, education, conscience.

We do not need wars to make a new world. We need conscious individuals. We need awakened hearts. We need conscious wills.

The mortal struggle between communism and capitalism threatens to provoke the third world war. If that war breaks out, hundreds of millions of human beings will die.

It is urgent to prevent that war. It is urgent that the peoples demand peace. It is urgent that the governors abandon their threats and dialogue with each other.

The Latin American Christian Socialism offers an alternative to the absurd war between communism and capitalism. We offer an alternative based on Christian love, on social justice, on individual freedom.

If Latin America adopts our alternative, Latin America can become the example for the world. Latin America can demonstrate that another way is possible.

The communist gentlemen have no other idea than to kill, and kill and kill; and for many years they have been killing and they want to continue killing; that is the perverse satisfaction of those tenebrous Marxists.

Every Revolutionary longing based on Violence is condemned to FAILURE.

Chapter 25: WORK OF WOMEN

Times of slavery have passed and women must enjoy the same rights as men; it is shameful to know that still in Latin America there are countries where women receive less salary than men for the same work.

It is not right that women work in establishments selling intoxicating beverages; it is completely absurd that women find themselves in jobs that in fact violate their dignity as women.

Woman is the angel of the home. Woman is the mother of the children. Woman is the spouse of the husband. Woman is the educator of the new generations.

These are the sacred roles of woman. These are the roles for which woman was created.

But modern society has taken woman out of the home and has put her in the factory, in the office, in the store, even in the tavern.

Modern society does not recognize the value of woman as mother, as spouse, as educator. Modern society only recognizes the value of woman as worker.

This is an absurdity. The work of mother, of spouse, of educator is much more important than any salaried work.

But modern society does not pay woman for her domestic work. Modern society only pays her for her industrial work.

It is necessary to recognize the work of woman in the home. It is necessary to pay woman for her work as mother, as spouse, as educator.

It is necessary that woman be able to dedicate herself fully to her sacred roles without having to work outside the home for an additional salary.

For this it is necessary that man earn enough to maintain his family. It is necessary that the salary of man be sufficient to feed, clothe, educate and lodge the entire family.

If man does not earn enough, woman has to work outside the home to complete the family income. And then the children are left abandoned, the education is left abandoned, the home is left abandoned.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate that the salary of man be sufficient for the family. We advocate that woman can choose freely to dedicate herself to the home or to work outside.

We advocate that if woman chooses to work outside the home, she receive equal salary as man for equal work.

We advocate that woman not be exploited in degrading jobs.

We advocate that the State recognize and reward the work of woman as mother, as spouse, as educator.

When each mother is also a Teacher, when each woman as angel of the home is dedicated solely to her task of Mother and educator of her children, we shall have a better world.

This is only possible through a permanent SOCIAL REVOLUTION, a REVOLUTION OF CONSCIENCE, a REVOLUTION WITHOUT BLOOD NOR LIQUOR.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate that the salary of man be sufficient for the family.

Chapter 26: PSYCHOLOGICAL SLAVERY

PSYCHOLOGICAL SLAVERY DESTROYS COEXISTENCE, to depend Psychologically on someone is slavery.

If our way of thinking, feeling and acting depends on the way of thinking, feeling and acting of those persons who live with us, then we are well slaves.

Modern man is psychologically a slave. He depends on the opinion of others. He depends on the fashions. He depends on the customs. He depends on the propaganda.

Modern man does not have his own thought. He thinks what the press says. He thinks what television says. He thinks what advertising says.

Modern man does not have his own feeling. He feels what the cinema says. He feels what music says. He feels what the modern artists say.

Modern man does not have his own action. He acts as others act. He acts as fashion dictates. He acts as society expects.

This is psychological slavery. And it is much worse than physical slavery, because the physical slave knows that he is a slave, but the psychological slave believes himself free.

It is necessary to liberate ourselves psychologically. It is necessary to think for ourselves. It is necessary to feel for ourselves. It is necessary to act according to our own conscience.

Psychological liberation requires the dissolution of the I. The I is what depends on others. The I is what conforms to the opinions of others. The I is the psychological slave.

When the I is dissolved, the Essence remains free. The Essence has its own thought, its own feeling, its own action.

The free Essence does not depend on others. The free Essence does not conform to the opinions of others. The free Essence has its own conscience.

The free Essence is what we call true Individuality. The free Essence is what we call true Freedom.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the psychological liberation of all citizens. We advocate the dissolution of the I in each individual.

Only with psychologically free citizens can authentic democracy exist. Only with psychologically free citizens can true coexistence exist.

Psychologically slave citizens vote as the propaganda dictates, think as the press dictates, act as fashion dictates. With such citizens true democracy cannot exist.

It is necessary to educate citizens for psychological freedom. It is necessary to teach them to think for themselves. It is necessary to teach them to be free.

The Second type of conduct is the best, that of the one who is no longer a slave, that of the one who has nothing to do with the thinking, feeling and doing of others, that type of conduct produces true freedom.

Now our readers will understand why Psychological Freedom brings that which is called LOVE.

Chapter 27: WORK OF MINORS

Currently there exist many minors who have to work to earn a living. It is necessary to fight also for minors. It is indispensable to protect minors who work.

Many minors come from poor families that cannot support them. Many minors have to work to support their younger brothers, their sick parents, themselves.

It is unjust that these minors be exploited. It is unjust that they receive less salary than adults for the same work. It is unjust that they work in dangerous conditions.

It is necessary that the State protect the minors who work. It is necessary to establish laws that guarantee them fair conditions of work.

The minors must work only a limited number of hours per day. They must have enough time to study, to play, to rest.

The minors must work in safe conditions. They must not be exposed to dangers that threaten their physical or moral integrity.

The minors must receive fair salary for their work. They must not be exploited because they are young.

The minors must be able to continue their education while they work. The State must offer night schools, weekend schools, distance schools.

The minors must receive medical attention. The State must guarantee that their employers offer them medical insurance.

The minors must be examined periodically by physicians. It is well that medical science examine the minors and extend them a certificate; it is clear that it becomes necessary to examine their organisms to know if they are fit for work.

Ideally the minors should not have to work. They should be able to dedicate themselves fully to their studies and their development.

For this it is necessary that families have sufficient income to support themselves without the help of the minors’ work.

It is necessary that the State guarantee a minimum income for all families. The Entity of Foresight and Social Aid must take charge of this.

Only thus can the work of minors gradually be eliminated. Only thus can the minors fully dedicate themselves to their development.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the protection of working minors and the gradual elimination of the work of minors.

The minors who work must be duly protected by the government.

The minors will be the adults of tomorrow, and for that it is urgent to give them work and protect them duly.

Chapter 28: EFFORT

To experience the TRUTH no EFFORT is needed. People are accustomed to making effort in everything and mistakenly suppose that it is impossible to experience the TRUTH without effort.

We may need effort to earn our daily bread or to play a game of FOOTBALL, or to carry a very heavy bundle, but it is absurd to believe that to experience the Truth effort is needed.

The TRUTH does not come through effort. The TRUTH comes through comprehension. The TRUTH comes through silence of the mind.

When the mind is silent, the TRUTH manifests itself. When the mind is silent, the Essence experiences the TRUTH.

But the mind cannot be silenced by force. The effort to silence the mind only agitates it more.

The mind is silenced by comprehension. When we comprehend why the mind speaks, when we comprehend the I that produces the chatter of the mind, the mind silences itself naturally.

It is the I that produces the chatter of the mind. It is the I that produces the agitation. It is the I that produces the noise.

When the I is dissolved, the mind silences itself naturally. When the I is dissolved, the Essence experiences the TRUTH.

But for the I to be dissolved, comprehension is needed. Not effort, comprehension. Effort fortifies the I. Comprehension dissolves it.

Modern man is full of effort. He makes effort to be good, to be successful, to be intelligent, to be virtuous. But all his effort fortifies his I.

It is necessary to abandon the effort. It is necessary to surrender to comprehension. It is necessary to allow the I to be dissolved.

This is not laziness. This is wisdom. The lazy makes no effort because he does not want to do anything. The wise makes no effort because he comprehends.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party advocates the path of comprehension, not the path of effort. We advocate that each individual study himself, comprehend himself, transform himself.

This is the only true path. This is the path of the great masters. This is the path of the Christ.

The TRUTH is not the RESULT, the TRUTH is not the product of effort, the TRUTH COMES to us through DEEP COMPREHENSION.

We need effort to work in the GREAT WORK. Effort to transmute our creative energies, effort to live, to fight and to walk the path, but no effort to experience the TRUTH.

Chapter 29: WORKERS OF MATURE AGE

Capital is cruel and pitiless; capital is only interested in accumulating, exploiting, extracting the juice from young people, etc.

In many countries men over forty years no longer have the right to occupy public posts, even when they are full of vitality and enjoy magnificent intellectual capacities.

This is absurd discrimination by age. This is exploitation of youth and abandonment of maturity.

Workers of mature age have experience, wisdom, judgment. They are valuable for any enterprise.

Workers of mature age are responsible, conscientious, dedicated. They are not as impulsive nor as inconstant as the young.

Workers of mature age know how to deal with people, know how to solve problems, know how to lead. They are mature in all senses of the word.

But modern society despises them. Modern society prefers the young, the inexperienced, the easily exploitable.

It is necessary to value the workers of mature age. It is necessary to give them opportunities of work. It is necessary to respect their dignity.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the elimination of age discrimination in work. We advocate that age not be obstacle for obtaining work.

We advocate that workers of mature age have the same opportunities as young workers. We advocate that they receive the salary that corresponds to them according to their experience.

We advocate that workers of mature age be respected in their dignity. We advocate that they not be treated as second class citizens.

We advocate that workers of mature age have the right to retirement when they decide. We advocate that the retirement be sufficient to live with dignity.

We advocate that workers of mature age have the right to continue working if they wish. We advocate that retirement not be obligatory at a fixed age.

We advocate that workers of mature age can transmit their experience to young workers. We advocate that they be considered as masters and not as obstacles.

When society values workers of mature age, society wins. When society despises workers of mature age, society loses.

We need SOCIAL JUSTICE in fact and not demagoguery; we want SOCIAL JUSTICE to transform Human Society and stop the overwhelming march of MARXISM-LENINISM.

It is urgent to mark a halt to the brutalizing and overwhelming advance of MARXISM-LENINISM.

Chapter 30: PLURALITY OF THE I

The PLURALITY OF THE I is something that is now completely demonstrated in EXPERIMENTAL PSYCHOLOGY.

If we examine ourselves during a trance of supreme pain, perhaps the death of the father or mother, or of the spouse, or of the son, etc., we feel as if there were many beings within ourselves, each one expressing the pain in his own way.

Within us there exist many I’s. Each I has its own characteristics. Each I has its own desires. Each I has its own thoughts.

The I of anger is not the same as the I of love. The I of greed is not the same as the I of generosity. The I of fear is not the same as the I of courage.

These many I’s are constantly fighting among themselves. One wants one thing, another wants the opposite. One wants to study, another wants to sleep. One wants to be sober, another wants to drink.

The result is that the modern man does not know what he wants. He is divided. He is contradictory. He is unpredictable.

The modern man cannot do anything serious because he is many. He promises and does not fulfill because the I that promised is not the I that has to fulfill.

He marries and divorces because the I that married is not the I that lives the marriage. He converts to a religion and abandons it because the I that converted is not the I that has to live the religion.

All life of the modern man is governed by this plurality of I’s. All life of the modern man is a constant battle between his many I’s.

To put an end to this battle, the I’s must be dissolved. The I’s are dissolved through profound comprehension.

When we comprehend deeply an I, that I dissolves. When we comprehend deeply the I of anger, the I of anger dissolves. When we comprehend deeply the I of greed, the I of greed dissolves.

Slowly, as the I’s dissolve, our true Being emerges. Our true Being is one, not many. Our true Being is permanent, not changing. Our true Being is conscious, not asleep.

When all I’s have dissolved and our true Being has emerged, we are truly individualized. We are truly conscious. We are truly free.

Then we can truly do. Then we can truly love. Then we can truly serve.

Then we can truly contribute to the Social Transformation of Humanity.

We need to know that the I is MANY, and that we must UNITE these many in full attention, with the purpose of TOTALLY COMPREHENDING the pain that, in a given moment, makes us suffer.

If we want the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION OF HUMANITY, we need to learn wisely.

Chapter 31: VACCINES

The know-it-all attitudes of these times of human Degeneration cause horror.

We do not deny the value of preventive medicine, but we do affirm that it is criminal to murder children by mistake.

Many children have died from vaccines applied without proper care. Many children have suffered grave injuries from poorly applied vaccines.

The vaccines must be applied only after a thorough medical examination of the child. Each child must be examined to know if his organism can tolerate the vaccine.

The vaccines must be of high quality. The vaccines of bad quality cause damages instead of preventing illnesses.

The vaccines must be applied by qualified personnel. The vaccines applied by unqualified personnel can cause infections, abscesses, paralysis.

The mass vaccination campaigns, although well-intentioned, often cause more damages than benefits. They vaccinate millions of children without proper examination, with vaccines of doubtful quality, by unqualified personnel.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the rationalization of vaccination. We advocate that vaccination be voluntary, not obligatory. We advocate that each child be examined before being vaccinated.

We advocate that the vaccines be of high quality, certified by independent organisms.

We advocate that the personnel that applies the vaccines be qualified and well paid.

We advocate that the State be responsible for the damages caused by poorly applied vaccines or vaccines of bad quality.

Besides the vaccines, there exist other ways to prevent illnesses. Good nutrition. Hygiene. Physical exercise. Mental tranquility. Spirituality.

These natural ways are more important than the vaccines. The vaccines without these natural ways are not enough.

The Latin American Christian Socialism advocates the integral approach to health. We advocate the prevention of illnesses through natural means, complemented when necessary by vaccines.

But we reject the obligatory vaccination, the vaccination without examination, the vaccination with vaccines of bad quality.

It is necessary to defend the organism; every organism is immune when it possesses marvelous organic defenses.

Let the organic defenses be fortified and the Vaccines become unnecessary; that is all.

Chapter 32: WOMEN WITHOUT WORK

The Secretariats of Industry and Commerce, or Ministries of Industry and commerce in all Latin American countries, in the General direction of economic studies, must dedicate attention to the problem of women without work.

Thousands and Millions of small official commerces, shops, stores, cafés, restaurants, hotels, etc., property of the National Government in each country, could give work to thousands and millions of women without work.

It is necessary that the State create these small commerces and offer them to women without work. The State must provide the initial capital, the commercial premises, the necessary training.

The women would administer these small commerces as their own. They would receive part of the profits as salary. They would obtain a dignified livelihood.

The State would recover its initial investment little by little, with the profits of the commerces. After a certain time, the commerces could become private property of the women administrators.

This system would solve the problem of women without work without recourse to socialist nationalizations or to communist collectivizations.

This system would create thousands of small entrepreneurs, that would invigorate the Latin American economy.

This system would provide products and services at fair prices to the consumers, breaking the monopolies of the great commercial chains.

This system would benefit all: the women without work, the consumers, the State, the country.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate this saving system for women without work.

It is necessary that the governments understand the necessity of acting in favor of women without work. It is necessary that the governments understand that the women are also part of the population and have the right to dignified work.

It is necessary to create programs of training for women without work. It is necessary to teach them administration, accounting, sales, customer service.

It is necessary to facilitate to them the access to credit. It is necessary to support them in their initial years until they can sustain themselves.

It is necessary to organize them in cooperatives. United they can purchase merchandise at better prices, share advertising, support themselves mutually.

It is necessary to recognize the value of the work of women. It is necessary to combat the discrimination by sex in work.

It is Urgent to make public manifestations to attain that this saving proposal triumphs.

We propose to the Government, to the Governments this saving project, in exchange for supporting it and struggling unto death against COMMUNISM.

Chapter 33: COOPERATIVE OF LAWYERS

In all countries of LATIN AMERICA we now have thousands and perhaps millions of prisoners in the jails; some of them are unjustly imprisoned but how can the unjustly imprisoned be defended if they have no money to pay for lawyers?

THE LATIN AMERICAN CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST PARTY must establish COOPERATIVES of lawyers in each country, city or town, to defend all those unfortunate ones.

These cooperatives of lawyers would be financed by the Party. The lawyers would work for the cooperative receiving a fair salary.

The cooperatives would offer free legal aid to the poor who cannot pay for lawyers. The cooperatives would defend all those who are unjustly imprisoned.

The cooperatives would also struggle for the reform of penal laws. The cooperatives would denounce the abuses of authorities. The cooperatives would defend human rights.

Many Latin American jails are full of innocents or of people guilty of minor crimes who do not deserve to be in jail. These people are exploited by police, judges and corrupt lawyers.

The cooperatives of lawyers would put an end to this exploitation. The cooperatives would force the legal system to work justly.

The cooperatives would also teach the people their rights. The cooperatives would publish manuals of laws in simple language so that all citizens may understand them.

The cooperatives would establish offices of legal advice in poor neighborhoods. The poor would receive free legal advice when they need it.

The cooperatives would form young lawyers in the spirit of service. The young lawyers would learn that the law must serve justice, not greed.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party would gain great prestige with these cooperatives of lawyers. The poor people would see that the Party truly works for them.

The Party would gain millions of grateful supporters who would vote for the Party in elections. The Party would grow electorally.

But beyond the electoral gains, the cooperatives of lawyers would do real good for humanity. They would liberate the unjustly imprisoned. They would defend the rights of the poor. They would reform the legal system.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the creation of cooperatives of lawyers in all the Latin American countries.

This is one of the concrete forms in which we work for the Social Christ. This is one of the concrete forms in which we transform Latin America.

FREEDOM with order is DEMOCRACY, FREEDOM without order is ANARCHY. ORDER without FREEDOM is DICTATORSHIP.

May the Dictatorship die! May we break the chains! May freedom live! May DEMOCRACY live!

Chapter 34: SPIRITUAL LEADERS AND POLITICAL LEADERS

Spiritual Leaders have no greater exaltation than Political Leaders. Political Leaders are not more exalted than Spiritual Leaders.

Political Leaders and Spiritual Leaders represent two aspects of the same thing, like Light and darkness, day and night, Spirit and Matter.

Without the spirit, matter is dead. Without matter, the spirit cannot manifest. Both are necessary. Both must work together.

The same with politics and religion. Without religion, politics is corrupt. Without politics, religion is impotent. Both are necessary. Both must work together.

Modern man has separated politics and religion. He has put religion in the private sphere and politics in the public sphere. He has said that religion has nothing to do with politics.

This is an absurdity. Religion has much to do with politics. Religion gives the moral and spiritual values that guide politics. Without these values, politics becomes a struggle for power and money.

All the great spiritual leaders of history were also political leaders. Moses was a political leader who freed his people from Egypt. Buddha was a political leader who organized a great spiritual community. Christ was a political leader who challenged the Roman empire and the Jewish religious establishment.

Mohammed was a political leader who unified Arabia. Krishna was a political leader who guided the war of Mahabharata. Confucius was a political leader who advised Chinese rulers.

All these great spiritual leaders did not separate the spiritual from the political. They saw both as aspects of the same human reality.

It is necessary that the political leaders of today also be spiritual leaders. It is necessary that the political leaders have moral and spiritual values.

A political leader without moral and spiritual values is dangerous. He can become a tyrant, a thief, a murderer. He can lead his people to ruin.

It is necessary that the citizens demand of their political leaders moral and spiritual values. It is necessary that the citizens not vote for leaders who have no moral and spiritual values.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the union of spirituality and politics. We advocate that the political leaders be spiritual leaders. We advocate that the spiritual leaders participate in politics.

We advocate that the laws reflect moral and spiritual values. We advocate that economic policies be guided by Christian love.

We advocate that all dimensions of public life be guided by Christian spirituality.

All the GREAT SPIRITUAL GUIDES were also GREAT POLITICAL LEADERS.

THE POLITICIAN without RELIGION is ASTUTE, GREEDY, LYING, MURDEROUS, IRRESPONSIBLE, THIEVING, and at least a sincere mistaken one who causes much harm.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the union of spirituality and politics.

Chapter 35: CONTROL OF FECUNDITY

We need control of fecundity and not control of birth because the latter would be CRIMINAL.

It is already demonstrated that the PSYCHOLOGICAL I continues in our descendants.

When a man has children, his psychological I is partially transmitted to those children. The children inherit not only physical characteristics but also psychological characteristics.

If the man has a psychological I full of vices, defects, illnesses, those vices, defects and illnesses will be transmitted to the children.

Therefore it is important that those who have children be people of good moral, mental and spiritual quality. Only thus can humanity improve.

Currently the opposite happens. The people of bad moral quality reproduce abundantly. The people of good moral quality reproduce little.

The result is that humanity degenerates with each generation. The percentage of people of bad quality increases. The percentage of people of good quality diminishes.

It is urgent to invert this tendency. It is urgent that the people of good quality have more children. It is urgent that the people of bad quality have fewer children.

But how to achieve this? Not by force, not by laws, not by sterilizations. By education, by moral persuasion, by example.

It is necessary to educate the people about the importance of fecundity control. It is necessary to teach them scientific chastity, which is the natural method of fecundity control.

Scientific chastity consists in conserving sexual energy through transmutation. The transmuted sexual energy is converted into vital force, in intelligence, in spiritual virtue.

Scientific chastity allows the couple to have children when they want, in the quantity they want. Scientific chastity does not require any external method of contraception.

Scientific chastity also improves the quality of the children. The children conceived with conserved sexual energy are more healthy, more intelligent, more virtuous.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the teaching of scientific chastity to all couples. We advocate that the State encourage scientific chastity as natural method of fecundity control.

We reject the artificial contraceptive methods that the great pharmaceutical industries promote. These methods damage women’s health and produce sterility, cancer and other illnesses.

We reject the surgical sterilizations that the materialist States impose on the poor. These sterilizations are violations of human dignity.

We advocate the natural, voluntary, moral, spiritual method: scientific chastity.

The Social Prejudices and Ideas are subjected to many changes as Science progresses.

The hour has come to abandon Social and Religious prejudices; the Instant has arrived to Select the human Seed to make a Better World.

The transmuted sexual energy is converted into vital force, in intelligence, in spiritual virtue.

Chapter 36: DOCTORS AND MEDICINES

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party must give the people doctors and Medicines.

It is not with Demagoguery that true Proselytizing work is done; we need to do work of Proselytism with concrete, clear and effective deeds.

The Latin American people is poor and sick. The Latin American people needs doctors and medicines but cannot pay for them.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party must organize teams of voluntary doctors who go to the poor neighborhoods and to the rural villages to attend the sick free of charge.

The Party must organize the collection of medicines from the pharmaceutical industries and the citizens of good will. The collected medicines must be distributed free of charge to the poor sick.

The Party must establish small free clinics in poor neighborhoods. These clinics must offer medical attention, medicines and basic education on health.

The Party must organize health campaigns: vaccination campaigns, deworming campaigns, dental hygiene campaigns, sexual education campaigns.

The Party must educate the poor people about prevention of illnesses. Better than curing is to prevent. Better than expensive medicines is good nutrition, good hygiene, good mental hygiene.

The Party must support the development of natural medicine. The herbs of our lands are powerful and can cure many illnesses. It is necessary to recover the medicinal wisdom of our indigenous ancestors.

The Party must combat the abuses of the great pharmaceutical industries. The great pharmaceutical industries sell expensive medicines that often serve no purpose, while they ignore the cheap medicines that truly serve.

The Party must combat the abuses of corrupt doctors. The corrupt doctors charge enormous fees to the poor, prescribe unnecessary medicines, refer to unnecessary specialists.

The Party must form honorable doctors. The Party must offer scholarships to young people of good moral character so that they may study medicine.

The Party must form a medical movement at the service of the people. A medical movement that combats illnesses with love, with science and with social conscience.

Latin America is full of poor and sick people; we must heal them, give them medicines, register them.

Let us all together form the WORLD SALVATION ARMY.

Chapter 37: PEACEFUL COEXISTENCE

HOMER the GREAT GREEK POET said: “MEN TIRE BEFORE, OF SLEEPING, OF LOVING, OF SINGING AND OF DANCING, THAN OF MAKING WAR.”

In these times it is fashionable to become famous as protagonist of PEACE.

Many leaders of the world speak of peace. The presidents of the United States speak of peace. The premiers of the Soviet Union speak of peace. The leaders of the United Nations speak of peace.

But in spite of all this talk of peace, there is no peace in the world. The wars continue. The conflicts multiply. The armament increases.

It seems that peace is only fashion, not a true desire. It seems that the leaders speak of peace to deceive their peoples while they prepare for war.

True peace cannot be built on lies. True peace can only be built on truth, justice and love.

True peace requires that the leaders be honest. The dishonest leaders cannot build peace.

True peace requires that the peoples be just. The unjust peoples cannot enjoy peace.

True peace requires that the human hearts be free of hatred. While the human hearts are filled with hatred, there will be no peace.

Peaceful coexistence among nations is impossible while there is no peaceful coexistence within each nation. Peaceful coexistence within nations is impossible while there is no peaceful coexistence among citizens.

Peaceful coexistence among citizens is impossible while each citizen is not at peace with himself. The internal peace of each individual is the foundation of all peace.

It is necessary to begin with the internal peace of each individual. It is necessary to dissolve the I that produces internal conflict. It is necessary to awaken the Essence that brings internal peace.

When each individual has internal peace, citizens will live in peace. When citizens live in peace, nations will live in peace. When nations live in peace, the world will live in peace.

This is the path of true peace. This is the path of Christian Socialism. This is the path of the Social Christ.

We do not advocate peace through arms. We do not advocate peace through dictatorship. We do not advocate peace through suppression of differences.

We advocate peace through internal transformation. We advocate peace through dissolution of the I. We advocate peace through awakening of consciousness.

The men of LATIN AMERICA know very well that TRUE PEACE only comes to us when within each individual, the factors that produce conflict have disappeared.

There can be no PEACE while within each individual there exists CRUELTY, GREED, ANGER, ENVY, the longing to accumulate capital, etc., etc., etc.

Chapter 38: THE I CANNOT ANNIHILATE THE I

Any person can commit the error of blowing his brains out as any cowardly and imbecilic suicide does, but the famous I cannot annihilate itself by suicide.

The People of all Pseudo-Esoteric and Pseudo-Occultist Schools have magnificent ideals and even sublime intentions, but all that does not serve to dissolve the I.

Some practice meditation with the intention of dissolving the I. Others practice yoga. Others practice fasting. Others practice abstinence.

But all these practices do not serve to dissolve the I, because the I cannot annihilate itself. The I cannot dissolve the I.

What dissolves the I is comprehension. Comprehension is not an act of the I. Comprehension is an act of the Essence.

When the Essence comprehends an I, that I dissolves. When the Essence comprehends the I of anger, the I of anger dissolves. When the Essence comprehends the I of greed, the I of greed dissolves.

But the comprehension must be integral, in all the levels of the mind. There exist many levels of the mind: superficial, intermediate, profound, subconscious.

An I can dissolve at the superficial level and continue at the intermediate level. Or it can dissolve at the intermediate level and continue at the profound level.

Only when an I has dissolved in all the levels of the mind has it truly dissolved.

Therefore the work of dissolution of the I requires great patience. It requires very profound observation. It requires very integral meditation.

And above all it requires that we abandon the illusion that the I can dissolve itself. The I will never dissolve itself. Only the Essence can dissolve the I.

Therefore we must work with the Essence, not with the I. We must let the Essence comprehend. We must not try to force the I to dissolve.

The work of dissolution of the I is a work of letting the Essence work. It is not a work of forcing anything.

This is the path of the true dissolution of the I. This is the path that the great masters have taught.

All other paths fail, because they try to dissolve the I with the I. And the I cannot dissolve the I.

Everything that belongs to time is of the I; the I itself is time.

Those who want to assemble the serenity of thought, to assemble it as one assembles a machine intelligently joining each of its parts, are doomed to failure because the I cannot assemble true serenity.

Chapter 39: THE ENGLISH WEEK

The hour has come to define with complete exactness the week of work.

In England the week of work has five days; it begins on Monday and ends on Friday.

On Saturday and Sunday the workers rest, enjoy their family, dedicate themselves to their hobbies, attend religious services.

This is the “English Week,” a system of work that recognizes the human right to rest.

Latin America must adopt the English Week. The Latin American workers have the right to rest two days per week.

Currently many Latin American workers work six days per week. They only rest on Sunday. And the Sunday they spend exhausted, sleeping, without being able to truly enjoy.

It is not just that the workers work so much. It is not just that they have so little time to rest, to be with their family, to develop spiritually.

The English Week is not a luxury. The English Week is a necessity. The human being needs to rest to be productive. The human being needs time for the family. The human being needs time for the spirit.

The English Week also benefits the employers. The well-rested workers produce more and better than the exhausted workers.

The English Week benefits the economy. The workers with free time consume more, dedicate themselves to leisure, dynamize the economy.

The English Week benefits society. The workers with time for the family raise their children better, contribute more to the community.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the obligatory implantation of the English Week in all Latin America.

We advocate that the Saturday and Sunday be days of obligatory rest. We advocate that the workers receive their full salary even when they do not work those days.

We advocate that the enterprises that violate the English Week be severely sanctioned.

We advocate that the unions struggle for the English Week. We advocate that the workers organize themselves to demand the English Week.

The young women workers must understand that Youth is a treasure very COVETED by the capitalists.

To struggle for the ENGLISH WEEK is a duty and we shall be able to attain it with total and partial Stoppages, slowdowns, (WORK TOO SLOW) etc., etc.

Chapter 40: INCREDIBLE THING

We know the case of an honorable citizen who upon arriving at the Airport of a certain Latin American country coming from Mexico and on a journey to South America, was treated as a criminal by the corrupt officials of customs.

We know of sick ones who upon arriving at the Customs barriers, have been despoiled of their medicines.

We know of mothers who upon arriving at customs have been despoiled of the food for their children.

We know of children who upon arriving at customs have been despoiled of their toys.

We know of travelers who upon arriving at customs have been despoiled of their personal money.

All these abuses occur daily in the Latin American customs. The customs officials, corrupt and cruel, exploit the travelers without pity.

These customs officials are bandits in uniform. These customs officials are an offense to the dignity of our countries.

It is necessary to end the customs system. It is necessary to establish free trade among Latin American countries.

Free trade would benefit all. The merchants would have access to more markets. The consumers would have access to more products at better prices. The workers would have more opportunities.

Free trade would eliminate the corruption of customs officials. Without customs to administer, the corrupt officials would have no power to abuse.

Free trade would integrate Latin America. Currently each Latin American country is a small economy isolated from the others. United, the Latin American countries could form a great economy comparable to that of the United States or Europe.

Free trade does not mean abandoning national sovereignty. Each country can keep its government, its laws, its currency, its army.

Free trade only means eliminating the customs barriers that obstruct the free movement of merchandise.

Free trade would be the beginning of greater integration. From the economic integration could be passed to political integration. From political integration could be reached the United States of Latin America.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the free trade among Latin American countries. We advocate the gradual integration of Latin America.

We do not advocate a sudden political union. We advocate that the integration be gradual, voluntary, beneficial for all.

It is not with cannons that we are going to defeat the communists. It is not with machine guns nor with atomic bombs that we can defeat the overwhelming avalanche of MARXISM-LENINISM.

Latin America must create a true DEMOCRACY in the most genuine sense of the word, to stop the brutalizing hordes of Communism.

Chapter 41: CRIMES AGAINST THE PEOPLE

The merchants of the Earth are poisoning the peoples with adulterated foods.

In various cities of the World, already people no longer take coffee nor drink milk.

The coffee that is sold is adulterated with chicory, with toasted corn, with other cheap substitutes. The coffee no longer has the flavor nor the aroma nor the properties of true coffee.

The milk that is sold is diluted with water, with chemical additives, with substances that imitate the milk but are not milk. The milk no longer nourishes as it should.

The bread that is sold is made with refined flour without nutrients, with chemical preservatives, with artificial colorings. The bread no longer nourishes as it should.

The butter that is sold is mixed with vegetable margarines, with hydrogenated oils, with substances that imitate the butter but are not butter.

The cheese that is sold is made with industrial milk, with chemical preservatives, with artificial colorings. The cheese no longer has the flavor nor the properties of true cheese.

The meat that is sold comes from animals stuffed with hormones, with antibiotics, with growth chemicals. The meat is contaminated with all these toxic substances.

The vegetables and fruits that are sold come from soils impoverished by chemical fertilizers, treated with pesticides, picked green and ripened artificially. They no longer have the nutritive properties they had.

All this is adulterated foods, contaminated foods, foods of bad quality. All this is crimes against the people.

The merchants who sell these foods are murderers. They are slowly poisoning the people. They are causing chronic illnesses, premature deaths.

The authorities that allow these crimes are also guilty. The corrupt inspectors who receive bribes are also guilty. The legislators who do not establish strict laws are also guilty.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists demand strict laws against the adulteration of foods. We demand severe sanctions for the violators. We demand uncorrupted inspectors that effectively enforce the laws.

We demand that the consumers have the right to know exactly what they are eating. We demand obligatory labels with the complete list of ingredients.

We demand that organic and natural agriculture be supported by the State. We demand that the consumers have access to clean, natural, nutritive foods.

Official posts are temporary and the governors of today will be tomorrow ordinary common citizens who will have to experience in their own flesh the consequences of the laws they enacted.

THE LATIN AMERICAN CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST PARTY must spread to the four winds for the good of humanity this chapter titled CRIMES AGAINST THE PEOPLE.

Chapter 42: THE MINIMUM SALARY

The FEDERAL LABOR LAW of the Republic of Mexico, referring to the Minimum Salary, says: “Minimum salary is the smallest quantity that can be paid in cash to the worker for the services he renders during a working day, with the obligation of remunerating, additionally, the work in extraordinary days and rest days.”

“The minimum salary must be sufficient to satisfy the normal necessities of a head of family in the material, social and cultural order, and to provide the obligatory education of the children.”

This Mexican definition of the minimum salary is just and complete. The minimum salary must guarantee the dignified subsistence of the entire family.

But in practice, the minimum salary in Mexico, as in other Latin American countries, is insufficient to satisfy the basic necessities.

With the current minimum salary, the workers cannot adequately feed their families. They cannot adequately clothe them. They cannot adequately lodge them. They cannot adequately educate them.

It is necessary to increase the minimum salary. It is necessary that the minimum salary be sufficient to fulfill its legal definition.

But the increase of the minimum salary must be combined with control of prices. If only the salary is increased without controlling prices, inflation follows and the worker remains in the same situation.

It is necessary that the State control the prices of basic articles. It is necessary that the State control speculation. It is necessary that the State guarantee that the increase of the salary translates into real improvement of the worker’s life.

It is also necessary to extend the minimum salary to all sectors. The minimum salary must apply not only to manual workers but also to office workers, technicians, professionals.

It is also necessary to extend the minimum salary to all regions. The minimum salary must apply not only to the cities but also to the country.

It is also necessary to extend the minimum salary to all enterprises. The minimum salary must apply not only to the great enterprises but also to the small ones.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate a just minimum salary, controlled by prices, extended to all sectors, regions and enterprises.

We advocate that the minimum salary be periodically reviewed to adapt to changes in the cost of living.

We advocate that the minimum salary be enforced with severity. The enterprises that pay less than the minimum salary must be severely sanctioned.

The Minimum salary must encompass also the workers of intelligence, bureaucrats, employees of every office, etc.

No living being within the social order should be without the minimum salary except for the men and women who have no salary because they are independent.

Chapter 43: THE HIDDEN LEVELS OF THE SUBCONSCIOUS

On a not very distant autumn night, a student said to his MASTER: “I am no longer interested in SELF-REALIZING myself or perfecting myself; the only thing that interests me is to work for the proletariat.”

“Water and Soap harm no one,” was the response of the Master; “you can continue working for the Proletariat but bathe yourself and apply plenty of soap.”

What did the Master mean? He meant that working for the proletariat is good, but it is not enough. It is also necessary to work upon oneself.

It is necessary to bathe oneself, that is, to clean oneself of the psychological filths that we carry within. It is necessary to apply soap, that is, to use methods of self-purification.

If we work for the proletariat without cleaning ourselves of our psychological filths, we shall end by being a worse element than the capitalists we combat.

The history of communism demonstrates this. The communist leaders who began with great ideals of justice ended as worse tyrants than the kings they overthrew.

Why? Because they did not clean themselves of their psychological filths. Because they did not bathe themselves. Because they did not apply soap.

Their I’s of pride, of ambition, of greed, of cruelty continued intact. And as they obtained power, those I’s manifested with full force.

It is necessary to clean ourselves of our psychological filths before pretending to lead others. It is necessary to bathe ourselves before pretending to bathe others.

The psychological filths are in the subconscious. They are at hidden levels of the mind. They are not seen on the surface. They only manifest in moments of crisis.

To discover the psychological filths it is necessary to explore the subconscious. It is necessary to descend to the hidden levels of the mind. It is necessary to discover what is hidden there.

This requires profound meditation. It requires sincere self-observation. It requires merciless self-criticism.

When we discover our psychological filths, we can begin to clean them. When we hide them or deny them, they continue to contaminate our actions.

Let us not say MY I has Envy, Hatred, Jealousy, Anger, Lust, etc.; it is better not to divide ourselves; it is better to say. I HAVE ENVY, HATRED, JEALOUSY, ANGER, LUST, etc.

When we study the sacred Books of India, we become enthusiastic thinking about the SUPREME BRAHMAN and the UNION OF ATMAN with BRAHMAN, but we forget that to attain that union it is necessary to clean ourselves of our psychological filths.

Chapter 44: MARITIME WEALTH

From the sea comes life, to the sea life returns; from the sea come the continents, to the sea Continents return.

THE SEA is CRADLE and is SEPULCHER; everything comes from the sea, everything returns to the sea; the sea is the deposit of life.

The sea is full of wealth. The sea contains fishes of all species. The sea contains shellfish, crustaceans, edible algae. The sea contains minerals dissolved in its waters.

Latin America has thousands of kilometers of coast. Latin America has access to two great oceans: the Atlantic and the Pacific. Latin America has immense maritime wealth.

But Latin America does not adequately take advantage of this maritime wealth. The Latin American fishing industry is incipient. The Latin American maritime industry is undeveloped.

Many countries Latin Americans import fish while their own seas are full of fish. Many countries Latin Americans depend on foreign fishing while their own fleets are scarce.

It is necessary to develop the Latin American fishing industry. It is necessary to construct modern fishing fleets. It is necessary to form qualified fishermen. It is necessary to establish industries of processing of fishery products.

It is necessary to take advantage of all the wealth of the sea: fishes, shellfish, crustaceans, edible algae. It is necessary to convert the sea into a source of nourishment for all Latin America.

But the exploitation of the sea must be sustainable. We must not exhaust the fishery resources. We must not destroy the marine ecosystems.

It is necessary to establish quotas of fishing that allow the species to regenerate. It is necessary to prohibit the destructive methods of fishing.

It is necessary to protect the marine zones of breeding and feeding. It is necessary to create marine parks where the species can develop without human disturbance.

It is necessary to combat marine pollution. The discharges of industries, the spills of petroleum, the dumping of toxic wastes, contaminate the sea and kill the marine species.

It is necessary to educate the people about the importance of the sea. It is necessary that the people understand that the sea is a precious resource that must be cared for.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the development of the maritime industry and the protection of the marine resources.

The sea can feed all Latin America. The sea can give work to thousands of fishermen. The sea can be source of wealth for our countries. We must take advantage of it wisely and protect it carefully.

The RATIONALISTS of this epoch astonish by their foolishness; the most famous, most dangerous and most unbearable fools are those who reason.

It is difficult that the fools comprehend the necessity of conquering the sea; the fool only accepts foolishness, the fool only says foolishness.

Chapter 45: ALCOHOLISM IN THE PROLETARIAT

The PROLETARIAT with hunger drinks alcohol; the proletariat without hunger drinks alcohol.

The problem of alcohol is very serious in Latin America; there is always a pretext to drink; if we are sad we drink because we are sad; if we are happy we drink to celebrate.

If we have triumphed in some business, we celebrate with alcohol. If we have failed, we drown the sorrows with alcohol. If we are in love, we celebrate the love with alcohol. If we have lost in love, we forget the pain with alcohol.

All in life is pretext to drink. And it is drunk excessively. And it is drunk to drunkenness.

Latin American alcoholism is destroying the Latin American family. It is destroying the Latin American economy. It is destroying the Latin American health.

Children whose fathers are alcoholics live in misery. The salary of the father is spent on alcohol. The children have no food, clothing, education.

Workers who are alcoholics produce poorly. They miss work. They have accidents. They are unable to advance.

Drivers who are alcoholics cause accidents. They kill innocents. They damage vehicles. They paralyze the cities.

Alcoholism is one of the worst social problems of Latin America. It is necessary to combat it with energy.

But it is not enough to prohibit alcohol. The prohibition does not work. Where alcohol is prohibited, it is consumed clandestinely.

It is necessary to combat alcoholism through education. It is necessary to teach the people that alcohol is poison. It is necessary to teach the people the harms of alcoholism.

It is necessary to combat alcoholism through change of customs. It is necessary that the celebrations not be centered on alcohol. It is necessary that the family events not require alcohol.

It is necessary to combat alcoholism through spirituality. The one who has spiritual life does not need alcohol. The one who has internal peace does not need alcohol.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the establishment of professorships of spiritual and moral education in all schools. These chairs would teach the children the harms of alcoholism and the path to spiritual life.

These professors would be paid by the Governments in the same form in which all professors are paid.

This is the path to save the human species from the abominable vice of alcohol.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the establishment of professorships of spiritual and moral education in all schools.

Chapter 46: OFFICIAL SUPPORT TO PRIVATE INITIATIVE

THE INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CORPORATION and the FINANCING OF THE WORLD BANK for a complete program and not for a specific program, is the urgent necessity to industrialize Latin America.

It is false to assert that Private Initiative in INTEGRAL form can use the resources of the INTERNATIONAL FINANCIAL CORPORATION.

Currently the loans of the World Bank and the International Financial Corporation only reach the great plutocrats. The small entrepreneurs cannot access these resources.

It is necessary to democratize the access to international financing. It is necessary that the small and medium entrepreneurs have access to credits at low interest.

It is necessary to establish development banks in each Latin American country, financed by the World Bank but administered by national entities.

These development banks would offer credits to small and medium entrepreneurs. The credits would be of low interest, of long term, with grace periods.

These development banks would also offer technical assistance to small and medium entrepreneurs. Many of them have good ideas but lack technical knowledge to implement them.

These development banks would offer training in administration, accounting, marketing, etc. Many small entrepreneurs fail because they do not know how to administer their businesses.

These development banks would offer access to markets. The bank would help the small entrepreneurs to sell their products both in the national market and in foreign markets.

These development banks would help to develop strategic industries. The bank would identify industries that the country needs and would offer special incentives to entrepreneurs who establish those industries.

These development banks would serve as instruments of industrial policy. The government would use these banks to promote the industrialization of the country.

These development banks would be much more useful than the current dispersed loans to plutocrats. The plutocrats use the loans to enrich themselves more, not to develop the country.

The small and medium entrepreneurs, on the contrary, use the loans to create real wealth, to generate employment, to develop the country.

The Latin American CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST Party must organize men and women of INITIATIVE to organize a political struggle for the democratization of credit.

Currently the official support to Private initiative, is only for the PLUTOCRATS.

The Latin American CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST Party must organize men and women of INITIATIVE to organize a political struggle for the democratization of credit.

Chapter 47: INCOME AND DISTRIBUTION

The most difficult problem of Administrative Economy is that of INCOME and DISTRIBUTION.

Rich and poor pay taxes; however little is the difference because the Governments always favor the rich.

The taxes that the rich pay are proportionally less than those that the poor pay. The rich have many forms of evading taxes that the poor do not have.

The rich have accountants who advise them. The rich have lawyers who defend them. The rich have legal channels to reduce their tax burden.

The poor pay all the taxes that are demanded of them. The poor cannot evade taxes. The poor cannot pay accountants or lawyers.

The result is that the poor pay proportionally more taxes than the rich. The result is that the tax system favors the rich and harms the poor.

This is fiscal injustice. This must be corrected.

It is necessary to establish a truly progressive tax system. The greater the income, the higher the tax rate.

It is necessary to severely combat tax evasion. The lawyers and accountants who help the rich to evade taxes must be punished.

It is necessary to establish wealth tax. Those who accumulate great wealth must pay tax on that wealth.

It is necessary to establish inheritance tax. Those who inherit great fortunes must pay tax on those fortunes.

It is necessary to establish tax on speculative profits. Those who earn money through speculation must pay more tax than those who earn money through productive work.

It is necessary to redistribute the tax revenues. The revenues must be used to finance public services that benefit all citizens.

It is necessary to invest in education, health, infrastructure. These investments benefit primarily the poor, who do not have access to these services in the private sector.

It is necessary to invest in industrial development. The investments must create jobs that benefit primarily the workers.

It is necessary to invest in agricultural development. The investments must support the small peasants who feed the country.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate a just tax system and an equitable distribution of revenues.

The most serious economic Problem of the world, is beyond all doubt, the problem of INCOME and DISTRIBUTION.

THE LATIN AMERICAN CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST PARTY, will fight in all LATIN AMERICA to solve the problem of INCOME and DISTRIBUTION.

Chapter 48: OLD AGE

The problem of old age can never be solved in isolation. If one truly wants to solve the problem of old age it is necessary to solve all the social problems in their entirety.

SOCIAL SECURITY can solve the problem of OLD AGE, but the INSURANCE needs to pass through a TRANSFORMATION because as it is, IT SERVES NO PURPOSE.

Currently social security in Latin America is inefficient, corrupt, insufficient. Currently social security cannot guarantee a dignified life to the old.

The old people who depend on social security live in misery. The pensions are miserable. The medical care is deficient. The services are scarce.

It is necessary to reform totally the social security system. It is necessary that social security become an efficient, just, sufficient institution.

It is necessary that social security guarantee a dignified pension to all old people. The pension must be sufficient to live with dignity.

It is necessary that social security guarantee quality medical care to all old people. The medical care must include preventive medicine, curative medicine and geriatric medicine.

It is necessary that social security guarantee additional services to the old: senior centers, day centers, recreational programs, transportation programs.

It is necessary that social security be financed adequately. The workers and the employers must contribute equitably. The State must also contribute.

It is necessary that the resources of social security be administered honestly. It is necessary to combat the corruption in the administration of social security.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate a total reform of social security to dignify the life of the old.

The old people deserve our respect, our gratitude, our care. They have worked all their life. They have built our societies. They deserve a dignified retirement.

It is shameful that in Latin America we treat the old so badly. It is shameful that we abandon them in misery. It is shameful that we ignore their needs.

We must change this. We must build a society that respects and cares for its old.

Currently DEMOCRACY DOES NOT YET EXIST and will not exist while the PROBLEM OF OLD AGE has not been solved.

We need to CREATE THE LEGITIMATE DEMOCRACY because the current democracy is not DEMOCRACY.

Chapter 49: THE DISCOUNT FROM SALARY

Every discount from salary turns out pernicious because it creates in fact the NOMINAL salary that fatally leads to the low STANDARDIZATION of the LIVING STANDARD.

The discount of the remuneration of work as only means to cover the economic needs and retirement of persons, denounces deficiencies of the social and economic system.

The discounts from salary to finance social security are common in many countries. The worker receives less salary because part of his salary goes to social security.

But this system is unjust. The worker is paying twice: once with his work and once with his salary. The employer pays nothing.

It is unjust that the worker pay the entire cost of social security. The employer must also contribute. The State must also contribute.

It is also unjust that the discounts from salary be so high that they reduce the real income of the worker to misery levels.

The discounts from salary must be limited. The worker must receive a real salary sufficient to live with dignity.

If social security requires more resources, those resources must come from other sources: contributions of employers, contributions of the State, taxes on great fortunes.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the limitation of the discounts from salary. We advocate that social security be financed equitably among workers, employers and State.

We also advocate that pensions be sufficient to live with dignity. We advocate that medical care be of quality. We advocate that social services be complete.

It is necessary to reform the social security system to make it just, efficient, sufficient.

And it is necessary to integrate the reform of social security with the integral reform of the social and economic system. The problem of old age cannot be solved in isolation.

It is necessary to solve simultaneously the problem of employment, the problem of salaries, the problem of distribution, the problem of education, the problem of health.

Only with an integral reform can we truly build a just society. Only with an integral reform can we truly realize the Social Christ on earth.

The Homeland that is not capable of Retiring its old workers, the Homeland that is not capable of pensioning its workers and that plunders the salary, has no right to call itself Mother of its citizens.

The Homeland that locks its old in FILTHY ASYLUMS similar to pigsties for pigs, is similar to the Son who murders his Father, or to the daughter who murders her Mother.

Chapter 50: REVOLUTIONARY ETHICS

The Latin American Christian-Socialist Party has its Own doctrine and Revolutionary ethics.

The Ethics of the New Era is Revolutionary one hundred percent; the meaning of the New Era that we are Initiating is: TO KNOW.

The Old Ethics, the antiquated ethics, is the ethics of conventionalism, of social hypocrisy, of false modesty.

The Old Ethics says one thing and does another. The Old Ethics preaches charity but practices egoism. The Old Ethics preaches love but practices hatred.

The New Ethics is the ethics of authenticity. The New Ethics says what it does and does what it says. The New Ethics is integral.

The Old Ethics judges by appearances. The Old Ethics esteems those who keep the appearances of virtue. The Old Ethics ignores those who have authentic virtue but do not keep the appearances.

The New Ethics judges by deeds. The New Ethics esteems those who have authentic virtue. The New Ethics ignores those who keep the appearances of virtue without having it.

The Old Ethics is based on tradition. What is done because always it has been done thus. What is said because always it has been said thus.

The New Ethics is based on comprehension. What is done because comprehension has shown that it is correct. What is said because comprehension has shown that it is true.

The Old Ethics is rigid. It cannot adapt to new situations. It cannot respond to new challenges.

The New Ethics is flexible. It can adapt to new situations. It can respond to new challenges.

The Old Ethics serves the powerful. The Old Ethics justifies the existing social order. The Old Ethics impedes social transformation.

The New Ethics serves humanity. The New Ethics questions the existing social order when this is unjust. The New Ethics promotes social transformation when this is necessary.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the New Ethics. We advocate an ethics of authenticity, of comprehension, of flexibility, of service to humanity.

This New Ethics is based on the dissolution of the I. Only by dissolving the I can we be truly authentic. Only by dissolving the I can we truly comprehend. Only by dissolving the I can we truly serve.

This life is frightfully ridiculous, horribly tragic and rarely sublime.

Only by dissolving the I can we make a better world; the Dissolution of the I is RADICAL, TOTAL and definitive REVOLUTION.

Chapter 51: THE BUTCHER OF HUNGARY FELL

After a decade of intense International activity the BUTCHER of HUNGARY fell, the sadly famous NIKITA KHRUSHCHEV.

This was the Dramatic man par excellence, the man who as soon is he dancing CHA, CHA, CHA, as he is furious and terrible, hitting his shoe on the table of the United Nations.

Khrushchev was the man of contradictions. He spoke of peace while he prepared for war. He spoke of friendship while he persecuted dissidents. He spoke of democracy while he maintained dictatorship.

Khrushchev was the man who drowned the Hungarian revolution of 1956 in blood. Thousands of Hungarians died defending their freedom against Soviet tanks.

Khrushchev was the man who built the wall of Berlin in 1961. The wall that divided Berlin in two, that separated families, that imprisoned the inhabitants of East Berlin.

Khrushchev was the man who took the world to the brink of atomic war with the missile crisis of Cuba in 1962. Thirteen days in which humanity was on the brink of disaster.

Khrushchev was the man who deceived the world with promises of communist paradise that never came. The Soviet people continued to suffer hunger, scarcity, repression.

And now Khrushchev has fallen. The other Soviet leaders, tired of his eccentricities and his failures, have removed him from power.

But the system that Khrushchev represented continues. Communism continues. Soviet dictatorship continues. The threat against the Western world continues.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists are not deceived by the fall of Khrushchev. We know that the new Soviet leaders will be as dangerous as Khrushchev.

We must continue working for the construction of a Christian socialist alternative to communism. We must continue working for the spiritual, political and economic strengthening of Latin America.

Only thus can we resist the communist advance. Only thus can we save our beloved Latin America from Soviet slavery.

Khrushchev fell, but the communist threat continues. We must remain alert. We must remain united. We must remain strong.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party is the spiritual and political army that will save Latin America from communism. Join the Latin American Christian Socialist Party!

THE MONSTER who murdered thousands of peasants in UKRAINE has fallen.

THE MONSTER who bathed Hungary in blood has fallen.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party is the spiritual and political army that will save Latin America from communism.

Chapter 52: HIDDEN HUNGER

Latin America currently suffers the disastrous consequences of what observers and specialists of nutrition have come to call HIDDEN HUNGER.

Millions of beings —says the W.H.O.— have an insufficient diet and what is more serious, the calories that this diet contains are badly distributed.

Hidden hunger is not visible hunger. The visible hunger is that of the one who has nothing to eat. The hidden hunger is that of the one who eats but is not adequately nourished.

The hidden hunger affects millions of Latin Americans who apparently eat well but who in reality are malnourished. They eat much but they eat badly.

They eat foods that fill the stomach but do not nourish the body. They eat refined carbohydrates without nutritive value. They eat industrial products full of preservatives and chemical additives.

They do not eat enough proteins. They do not eat enough vitamins. They do not eat enough minerals. They do not eat enough fibers.

The result is that they suffer chronic illnesses, low energy, depressed immune system, slow mental development in children.

The hidden hunger is one of the most serious problems of Latin American public health. It is necessary to combat it with energy.

To combat the hidden hunger it is necessary to educate the people in nutrition. It is necessary to teach them what foods truly nourish.

It is necessary to regulate the food industry. It is necessary to combat the publicity that promotes nutritively empty products.

It is necessary to support healthy agriculture. It is necessary to support peasants who produce nutritive foods.

It is necessary to establish prices controls so that nutritive foods may be accessible to the poor.

It is necessary to subsidize basic foodstuffs of nutritive value: meats, eggs, milk, vegetables, fruits, integral grains.

It is necessary to combat speculation with foodstuffs. It is necessary to punish those who hoard foodstuffs to raise prices.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate an integral nutrition policy that combats the hidden hunger.

Punishment is a kind of Medicine; the starvers of the people must be punished.

Every PRICE CONTROL BOARD must have sufficient powers so that it may exercise its Ministry.

Chapter 53: SALARY

Just as the ox or the horse of plowing after hard work receives a certain quantity of food to restore its strength, so also the worker receives a salary to restore his strength.

The humble plowing beast enjoys the pasture, the cane and other foods, and the poor worker enjoys his salary.

But there is an enormous difference between the animal and the worker. The animal has no consciousness of its situation. The worker has full consciousness of his situation.

The worker knows he is being exploited. The worker knows his salary is insufficient. The worker knows his work produces much more than what they pay him.

And this consciousness produces resentment, anger, longing for justice. This consciousness produces revolutionary movements.

If we want to avoid revolutionary movements, it is not by hiding the truth from workers. It is by giving them just salary.

It is necessary that the salary of the worker be sufficient to live with dignity. It is necessary that the salary of the worker include food, clothing, shelter, education, health, recreation.

It is necessary that the salary of the worker grow with the productivity of his work. The more the worker produces, the more he must receive.

It is necessary that the salary of the worker include participation in the profits of the enterprise. The worker who contributes to the profits of the enterprise must receive part of those profits.

It is necessary that the salary of the worker be protected against inflation. It is necessary that the salary be periodically adjusted to maintain its purchasing power.

It is necessary that the salary of the worker be guaranteed in cases of illness, accident, unemployment. It is necessary that the worker not lose his salary by causes beyond his will.

It is necessary that the salary of the worker continue in retirement. It is necessary that the worker, upon retiring, receive a sufficient pension to live with dignity.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate a just salary policy that guarantees the dignity of the worker.

We advocate that the workers organize in unions to defend their right to a just salary. We advocate that the State support the unions in this defense.

We advocate that the salary not be understood only as economic remuneration but also as recognition of the human dignity of the worker.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party does not need the weapons of violence to solve all the problems that exist between Capital and Labor.

We fight with the weapons of the mind which are millions of times more potent than cannons, atomic bombs and machine guns.

Chapter 54: AGRICULTURAL COOPERATION

The Parcelling of the lands and agricultural cooperation can bring rich production to all countries of Latin America.

If the agriculturalists organize agricultural Cooperatives to work, these will give great yield in the work.

The agricultural cooperatives are organizations of agriculturalists who work united for the common good. They share work, resources, knowledge.

Each agriculturalist owns his land, but they cooperate in tasks that benefit all: purchase of machinery, sale of products, hiring of technicians, etc.

The agricultural cooperatives allow small agriculturalists to compete with great enterprises. United they have the strength that they would not have separated.

United they can purchase modern machinery that would be too expensive for an individual. United they can build storage facilities, irrigation systems, transportation systems.

United they can sell their products at fair prices, eliminating intermediaries. United they can negotiate with large buyers from a position of strength.

United they can hire qualified technicians: agronomists, veterinarians, agricultural economists. United they can apply the most modern techniques.

United they can offer their members training, technical assistance, access to credit, marketing of products.

Agricultural cooperatives are the path between individualistic capitalism and statist communism. They are the third way of Christian Socialism.

Mexico has had positive experiences with agricultural cooperatives, especially in the ejidos. Other Latin American countries can learn from Mexican experience.

Israel has had positive experiences with agricultural cooperatives, especially in the kibbutzim. Other Latin American countries can learn from Israeli experience.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the promotion of voluntary agricultural cooperatives in all Latin American countries.

We advocate that the State support agricultural cooperatives with credit, technical assistance, training.

We advocate that the State protect agricultural cooperatives against the predatory competition of great agro-industrial enterprises.

We advocate that the State promote agricultural cooperation as central element of agrarian policy.

The LATIN AMERICAN SOCIALIST PARTY, can become great and strong to save Latin America and the World, from the abominable and monstrous communism.

We want the rights of workers to be respected, that the peasant have full and absolute freedom, that he may sell his products freely.

Chapter 55: AMBITION

The mama’s boy studies much out of ambition; he desires a toy and mama has promised him one if he passes the year with good grades.

The lazy and slothful employee’s only ambition is not to have a Patron who commands him and to live tranquilly in his house.

Each person has his own ambitions. Each person seeks his own benefit. Each person works for his own interests.

The ambition is part of the I. The I is what is ambitious. Without the I there would be no ambition.

Ambition is the motor of much human activity. Without ambition many would not work. Without ambition many would not study. Without ambition many would not progress.

But ambition is also the source of much human suffering. The ambition produces unjust competition. The ambition produces conflicts. The ambition produces wars.

Is ambition good or bad? It depends on the type of ambition. There are noble ambitions and ignoble ambitions.

Ambitions of doing good, of serving humanity, of developing one’s talents, of cultivating one’s spirit, are noble ambitions.

Ambitions of having more than others, of dominating others, of standing out at the expense of others, of enriching oneself by exploiting others, are ignoble ambitions.

It is necessary to cultivate noble ambitions and dissolve ignoble ambitions. It is necessary to differentiate between both types.

Modern society confuses both types of ambitions. Modern society celebrates the rich without distinguishing whether they have enriched themselves nobly or ignobly. Modern society celebrates the powerful without distinguishing whether they have obtained power for the good or for the evil.

It is necessary to educate the citizens in the distinction between noble and ignoble ambitions. It is necessary to celebrate noble ambitions and condemn ignoble ambitions.

But even noble ambitions, when one penetrates deeply into them, reveal themselves as forms of egoism. Even noble ambitions are activities of the I.

The true spiritual path goes beyond ambition. The true spiritual path renounces all ambition, noble and ignoble. The true spiritual path acts without expectation of reward.

Christ acted without ambition. Christ served humanity without expecting reward. Christ taught us: “Seek first the kingdom of God and his justice, and all these things shall be added unto you.”

When we truly comprehend deeply and in clear and specific form that we are AMBITIOUS and that any effort we make to put an end to ambition will fail, then we will be able to dissolve the I of ambition.

There are resignations and resignations, but this type of resignation born of profound comprehension brings a radical change to the mind.

Chapter 56: PROFITS

When the profit produced by the working force of the workers is totally taken by the capitalists in absolute form, there exists CAPITALIST EXPLOITATION.

The workers receive a miserable salary as payment for their workday of eight or more hours of work, but they produce merchandise that is worth much more than their salary.

The difference between what the worker produces and what he receives is the profit of the capitalist. The greater the difference, the greater the profit.

The capitalists seek to maximize this profit. They seek to pay less and to extract more work. They seek to exploit the worker as much as possible.

But there is a limit. If the worker is exploited too much, he rebels. If the worker is exploited too much, he organizes and strikes. If the worker is exploited too much, he becomes communist.

Communism is the product of capitalist exploitation. Without exploitation there would be no communism. To eliminate communism, exploitation must be eliminated.

To eliminate exploitation, the worker must receive a fair part of the profits. The worker is partner of the capitalist in the productive enterprise. The worker has the right to fair part of the profits.

Karl Marx said that the worker had to receive ALL the profits and the capitalist nothing. This is unjust. The capitalist has invested his capital, has taken the risk, has organized the enterprise. The capitalist also has the right to fair part of the profits.

Christian Socialism advocates fair distribution of profits among capital, labor and administration. Each must receive what corresponds to him.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party advocates that the workers receive at least 25% of the profits of enterprises. The remaining 75% can be distributed among capital, administration and reinvestment.

This system of distribution of profits eliminates exploitation. The workers are no longer mere wage earners; they are also partners in the enterprise.

This system of distribution of profits eliminates the conflict between capital and labor. Both are interested in the success of the enterprise.

This system of distribution of profits eliminates the temptation of communism. The workers no longer have reason to want to abolish capitalism, because they themselves become capitalists.

This system of distribution of profits is the path of true social peace. This is the path of Christian Socialism. This is the path of the Social Christ.

Without workers there are no profits and without profits there are no net utilities on capital.

The proletariat must organize for the struggle against capitalism; only on the basis of total stoppages, sit-down strikes, slowdowns, etc., can we attain the fair distribution of profits.

Chapter 57: COMMERCIAL EXCHANGE

IT IS URGENT to create a Law that controls the commercial Exchange, Industrial and barter business in all its manifestations.

There exist Laws that regulate the Statute of the person and of Society, Laws on Migration, Laws on circulation of vehicles, etc., but there is no global Law that regulates commercial exchange.

The lack of such Law allows abuses, frauds, exploitations. The lack of such Law allows unfair competition. The lack of such Law allows speculation.

It is necessary that the State establish a global Law of commercial exchange that protects consumers, that protects honest merchants, that protects the country.

This Law must establish minimum quality standards for all products. The merchants must guarantee the quality of what they sell.

This Law must establish fair price standards. The merchants must not be able to charge arbitrary prices. There must be regulated profit margins.

This Law must establish honest publicity standards. The merchants must not be able to deceive consumers with misleading publicity.

This Law must establish fair contract standards. The contracts between buyers and sellers must be just for both parties.

This Law must establish fair payment standards. The merchants must accept reasonable forms of payment. The consumers must pay in fair terms.

This Law must establish fair credit standards. The credits must be granted in fair conditions. The interests must not be usurious.

This Law must establish fair guarantee standards. The merchants must guarantee what they sell. The consumers must be able to demand guarantees.

This Law must establish fair return standards. The consumers must be able to return defective products. The merchants must accept fair returns.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the creation of such global Law of commercial exchange.

We advocate that this Law be applied severely. We advocate that there be specialized tribunals for commercial conflicts. We advocate that the citizens have easy access to these tribunals.

We advocate that commercial exchange be honest, fair, balanced. We advocate that no party be able to exploit the other in commercial exchange.

The proletariat must not wallow in the mud of necessities; the proletariat also must not fall into the mire of excessive wealth.

Governments must establish the just economic balance for the good of free and sovereign countries.

Chapter 58: FOUNDATIONS OF OUR DOCTRINE

WORK must always be considered as something very sacred and therefore we believe very sincerely that the salary must never be taxed nor diminished by any cause.

It is stupid to Invest the money of salaries in matters of Retirements or necessities of the Individual or family.

The salary belongs to the worker. The salary should not be touched by anyone for any reason.

If social services need to be financed, they must be financed by other sources, not by the salary of the worker.

The worker already contributes enough with his work. The worker should not be obliged to contribute additionally with discounts from his salary.

The contributions to social services must come from the capitalists, from the State, from indirect taxes on luxury articles and vices.

The capitalists benefit from the work of the workers. The capitalists must contribute to the social services that benefit the workers.

The State has duties toward all citizens. The State must use its general resources to finance social services.

The indirect taxes on luxury articles and vices fall upon those who can pay. These taxes are progressive: the more one earns, the more one consumes luxury and vices, the more one pays.

With these alternative sources, social services can be adequately financed without touching the salary of the worker.

The Latin American Christian Socialist doctrine advocates the integrity of the salary. The salary must be paid complete to the worker.

But the doctrine also advocates that the worker save part of his salary for the future. The worker must save voluntarily, not be obliged to save through forced discounts.

For this it is necessary to teach the workers the value of saving. It is necessary to teach them to administer their money wisely.

The State must facilitate the saving of workers offering accessible savings accounts, with good interests, with security of the deposits.

The State must also facilitate access to investment funds for workers who wish to invest their savings. The workers can become small investors, generating additional incomes for the future.

Crystallizing a new REVOLUTIONARY idea is very difficult because the fools of every type always seek to defend their reactionary ideas.

We need to fight with the best weapons of intelligence so that our idea of SAVING BY SPENDING may triumph.

Chapter 59: UNEMPLOYMENT

THE LATIN AMERICAN CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST PARTY must fight against unemployment.

Unemployment is one of the worst evils of modern society. Unemployment produces hunger, misery, despair.

The unemployed has no income to maintain his family. The unemployed cannot pay rent, food, clothing, education, health.

The unemployed loses self-esteem. The unemployed feels useless, rejected, despised by society.

The unemployed becomes vulnerable to vices: alcoholism, drugs, gambling. The unemployed becomes vulnerable to crime.

The unemployed becomes fertile ground for communist propaganda. The communists promise the unemployed work, food, dignity.

If we want to combat communism we must combat unemployment. If we want to avoid social revolutions we must guarantee employment to all citizens.

It is necessary that the State promote the creation of employment. It is necessary that the State support industries that generate employment. It is necessary that the State invest in public works that generate employment.

It is necessary that the State offer training for the unemployed. It is necessary that the State help them to find new work. It is necessary that the State support them economically while they find work.

It is necessary that the laws protect against unjustified dismissal. It is necessary that the laws guarantee fair compensation in case of dismissal.

It is necessary that the work schedules be reduced to share the work among more workers.

Our party must fight against unemployment because this is really the Shame of Society.

Chapter 60: COST AND STANDARD OF LIVING

It is absurd from every point of view to evaluate the cost of living taking as common denominator the currency.

The currency changes value with inflation. The currency has different value in different countries. The currency does not measure with exactness the real cost of life.

It is necessary to evaluate the cost of life in real terms, not in monetary terms. It is necessary to measure how much real food, real clothing, real shelter the worker can obtain with his salary.

If the worker can adequately feed his family, dress them adequately, lodge them adequately, then his salary is sufficient.

If the worker cannot adequately feed his family, the salary is insufficient. The monetary value of the salary does not matter; what matters is what can be obtained with it.

It is necessary to construct a real index of cost of life that measures the real necessities of the family.

This index must include the basic foodstuffs in the necessary quantities. This index must include basic clothing. This index must include basic shelter. This index must include basic education and basic health.

With this real index of cost of life, the minimum salary can be established with justice. The minimum salary must be sufficient to cover this real index.

Only thus on the basis of rigorous comprehension can we create a society without hunger and without misery.

Chapter 61: SMALL INDUSTRIES

THE LATIN AMERICAN CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST PARTY can grow on the basis of small industries.

The small industries are the foundation of an industrialized economy. The small industries generate employment. The small industries develop technology. The small industries enrich the country.

The party must promote the creation of small industries. The party must offer technical assistance, credit, training to those who want to establish small industries.

The party must organize affiliated small entrepreneurs. United they can do more than separated. United they can compete with great enterprises.

The party must defend small industries against the predatory competition of great enterprises. The great enterprises tend to absorb the small ones or to ruin them.

The State must protect the small industries with tax incentives, special credits, government purchases, training programs.

The State must regulate the great enterprises so that they do not abuse their power against the small ones.

When small industries develop, the entire economy develops. When small industries die, the economy is concentrated in few hands and democracy weakens.

IT IS URGENT to do much propaganda in this sense so that thousands and millions of persons may come to solicit their admission into the party.

Chapter 62: THE RELIGIOUS QUESTION

All Religions are precious pearls strung on the golden thread of DIVINITY.

There is only one Religion, one only Truth. But there are many forms of expressing this Religion, of expressing this Truth.

Each religion expresses the Truth in its own way, according to the place, the time, the culture. Each religion has its symbols, its rituals, its scriptures.

But behind all the religious forms there is the same Truth. Behind all the religious symbols there is the same Reality. Behind all the religious rituals there is the same Spirit.

Christianity, Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Judaism, Zoroastrianism, etc., are different forms of the same Religion.

It is absurd that the religions fight among themselves. It is absurd that the Christians persecute the Jews, that the Muslims persecute the Christians, that the Buddhists persecute the Hindus.

It is necessary that all religions recognize their common origin. It is necessary that all religions respect each other. It is necessary that all religions cooperate for the common good.

The Latin American Christian Socialism advocates the union of all religions for the common good. We advocate the religious dialogue. We advocate mutual respect.

We are Christian socialists, but we respect Buddhists, Hindus, Muslims, Jews, etc. We do not pretend that all the world be Christian. We pretend that all the world be religious in his own form.

What we reject is materialist atheism that denies all religion. Materialist atheism is the source of communism. Materialist atheism is the source of moral decadence.

We advocate that all citizens have a religion, whichever it may be. We advocate that all citizens have spiritual values, whatever their form.

Without spiritual values society degenerates. Without spiritual values democracy weakens. Without spiritual values man loses his dignity.

UNION makes STRENGTH; the RELIGIONS gain nothing by making war among themselves; it is better to realize the UNION of all the religions for the common good.

Chapter 63: MONETARY INFLATION

Monetary Inflation is one of the most serious and dangerous calamities that affect the people and the STATE because it influences the entire social and economic order.

Inflation diminishes the value of money. The same coin buys less today than yesterday and will buy less tomorrow than today.

Inflation primarily harms those who live from a fixed salary: workers, employees, pensioners. Their incomes do not keep up with the rise of prices.

Inflation primarily benefits those who own real assets: lands, buildings, businesses. Their assets maintain their real value while money loses its value.

Therefore inflation is a regressive tax. Inflation takes from the poor to give to the rich.

Inflation is generally caused by excessive emission of money by the State. The State, lacking taxes to finance its expenses, prints more money.

But the new money does not create new real wealth. The new money only divides the existing wealth among more pieces of money. The result is that each piece of money is worth less.

It is necessary that the State control monetary emission. It is necessary that the State balance its budget. It is necessary that the State finance its expenses with real taxes, not with monetary emission.

It is necessary to control the speed of money circulation. The greater the speed of circulation, the greater the inflationary pressure.

It is necessary to control the expectations of inflation. If the people expect inflation, they raise prices in anticipation, and the inflation is realized.

It is necessary to control speculation. The speculators take advantage of inflation to enrich themselves at the cost of the rest of society.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate a sane monetary policy that maintains the value of the currency.

We advocate that the central bank be independent of the government. We advocate that the central bank have as principal mission the stability of the currency.

We advocate that the State control its expenses. We advocate that the State balance its budget. We advocate that the State avoid the temptation of monetary emission.

IF we truly want the SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION of HUMANITY, we need COMPREHENSION, COOPERATION, NON-RESISTANCE TO EVIL.

Chapter 64: MISERY

THE LATIN AMERICAN CHRISTIAN SOCIALIST PARTY is at WAR against MISERY.

Misery is one of the worst evils of humanity. Misery degrades the human being. Misery produces illnesses. Misery produces death.

Misery is not a natural calamity. Misery is the result of an unjust social organization. Misery can be eliminated if society organizes itself justly.

There are countries where misery has been almost eliminated. The Scandinavian countries, for example, have almost no misery. Why? Because they have organized themselves justly.

Latin America can also eliminate misery. Latin America has the natural resources. Latin America has the talented people. What Latin America needs is just social organization.

To eliminate misery it is necessary to redistribute the wealth. The wealth must not be concentrated in few hands while the majority lives in misery.

To eliminate misery it is necessary to guarantee employment to all citizens. The unemployed are necessarily miserable.

To eliminate misery it is necessary to guarantee minimum income to all citizens. The Entity of Foresight and Social Aid must take charge of this.

To eliminate misery it is necessary to guarantee education to all citizens. The uneducated cannot escape misery.

To eliminate misery it is necessary to guarantee health to all citizens. The sick cannot work and easily fall into misery.

To eliminate misery it is necessary to guarantee dignified housing to all citizens. Whoever does not have a dignified roof is necessarily miserable.

To eliminate misery it is necessary to put an end to exploitation. While there is exploitation there will be miserable.

The Latin American Christian Socialist Party works for the elimination of misery through fair redistribution of wealth, guarantee of employment, education and health for all.

THE REPULSIVE AND FILTHY COMMUNISM is the result of IGNORANCE, ILLNESSES AND MISERY; where these three factors do not exist, communism cannot prosper.

Chapter 65: SNOBBISM

Every head of State, every Minister, every influential person, is always surrounded by cynical flatterers interested and egoistic.

These flatterers are the snobs. They have no opinions of their own. They have no convictions of their own. They have no own dignity.

Their only function is to please the powerful. Their only function is to repeat what the powerful want to hear. Their only function is to obtain favors from the powerful.

The snobs surround the powerful and isolate him from reality. The snobs only tell the powerful what he wants to hear. The snobs hide from the powerful the truth of what really happens.

The result is that the powerful loses contact with reality. The result is that the powerful makes erroneous decisions because he has no real information.

The result is that the people suffer the consequences of the erroneous decisions of the isolated powerful.

It is necessary that the powerful be aware of the danger of snobs. It is necessary that the powerful surround himself with honest people who tell him the truth.

It is necessary that the powerful actively seek the truth, not let himself be drowned in flattery. It is necessary that the powerful visit the people, listen to them, understand them.

It is necessary that the people not let themselves be enchanted by the snobs. It is necessary that the people see the snobs for what they are: parasites of power.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists reject snobbism. We advocate honest, sincere, courageous politics.

We advocate that our political leaders speak the truth even when it is uncomfortable. We advocate that our political leaders listen to the truth even when it pains them.

Only with honest politics can we build a just society. Only with sincere politics can we earn the trust of the people.

The SNOBS like bad and harmful plague surround the Governors and always occupy for the misfortune of the world all the highest posts.

Chapter 66: HELPLESS CHILDHOOD

IT is necessary to intelligently raise the “STRUCTURE OF INTEGRAL PROTECTION FOR CHILDHOOD.”

Helpless childhood is the saddest spectacle that can be seen. Children abandoned, hungry, sick, without education, without affection.

These children are the future of our societies. If we abandon them today, we shall have a desolate future tomorrow.

These children, when they grow up, will be resentful, vengeful, antisocial. These children will swell the ranks of crime, of vice, of communism.

It is urgent to attend to helpless childhood. It is urgent to create an institutional structure that protects all helpless children.

We propose the creation of the INPI: National Institute for the Protection of Childhood. INPI must exist in each Latin American country.

INPI must take charge of all aspects of childhood protection: nutrition, health, education, recreation, family protection.

INPI must establish nurseries for working mothers. INPI must establish schools for poor children. INPI must establish hospitals for sick children. INPI must establish recreational centers for children.

INPI must guarantee adequate nutrition to all children. The malnutrition in childhood produces irreversible damage to physical and mental development.

INPI must guarantee quality medical care to all children. The illnesses of childhood, if not treated in time, leave permanent sequels.

INPI must guarantee quality education to all children. The education in childhood determines the possibilities of life of the adult.

INPI must support poor families. The poor families need additional resources to take care of their children. INPI must provide these resources.

INPI must protect abandoned children. The abandoned children need substitute homes, adoptions, foster care.

INPI must combat child abuse. The abusive parents must be punished. The children must be protected.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the creation of INPI in all Latin American countries.

Childhood is the most precious treasure of a society. A society that takes care of its children has guaranteed future. A society that abandons its children is doomed to failure.

INPI has before it a marvelous task to perform; we must struggle until attaining the FOUNDATION of INPI in each Latin American country.

Chapter 67: RADICAL EXTIRPATION OF THE I

Two Great World Wars have passed and the World finds itself on the brink of the third world war.

Why? Because the I has not been extirpated from human hearts. Because the I continues producing hatred, greed, ambition, cruelty.

All the reforms of social and political systems have failed to produce real peace because they have not addressed the fundamental problem: the I.

While the I exists in human hearts, there will be wars. While the I exists in human hearts, there will be exploitations. While the I exists in human hearts, there will be injustices.

It is urgent to extirpate the I from human hearts. It is urgent to dissolve the I that produces all the human evils.

But the I cannot dissolve itself. The I cannot extirpate itself. Only conscious work, only profound comprehension, can dissolve the I.

We must each work on ourselves. We must each observe ourselves. We must each comprehend ourselves. We must each dissolve our own I.

And we must each help others to do the same. We must teach them. We must accompany them. We must support them.

When sufficient individuals have dissolved their I, society will transform itself. When the I has been extirpated from human hearts, peace will reign on earth.

This is the goal of the Latin American Christian Socialist Party. This is the goal of the Social Christ. This is the goal of the new era.

We do not promise the impossible. We do not promise an instantaneous transformation. We do not promise the disappearance of evil from one day to the next.

We propose a slow, patient, persistent transformation. A transformation that begins in each individual heart. A transformation that extends to all society.

If you, dear reader, want to contribute to this great transformation, begin with yourself. Begin to dissolve your own I. Begin to live as if the Social Christ were already reality.

Then your example will inspire others. Then the seed of the new era will spread. Then the kingdom of the Christ will gradually be established on earth.

Only with absolute abnegation and comprehension of what unfortunately we are, and without stimuli or Incentives of any kind, can we truly dissolve the I.

Chapter 68: THE CONFEDERATION OF LATIN AMERICAN STATES

General Charles de Gaulle wants that an imposing assembly of Nations unite to Uruguay and France with the purpose of opposing the imperialism of the great powers.

This idea of de Gaulle is good. Latin America must unite. Latin America must form a confederation to face the great powers.

Currently each Latin American country is a small power that cannot resist the great powers. But united, the Latin American countries would form a great power that could face anyone.

The Confederation of Latin American States would be similar to the United States of America, but with greater respect for the sovereignty of each member State.

The Confederation would have a common government for common matters: foreign policy, defense, common currency, common laws on basic matters.

But each member State would keep its own government for its internal matters: own laws, own administration, own internal politics.

The Confederation would have a common army for the defense of all its members. The Confederation would have a common diplomatic representation in the world.

The Confederation would have a common currency that would facilitate the trade among its members. The Confederation would eliminate customs barriers among its members.

The Confederation would have a common system of communications: roads, railways, airlines, telecommunications that connect all members.

The Confederation would have a common system of education: universities, scientific research, exchange of students and professors.

The Confederation would have a common system of social security: common pensions, common health insurance, common unemployment subsidies.

The Confederation would be a great power: economic, political, military, cultural. The Confederation would be respected by all the great powers.

We the Latin American Christian Socialists advocate the creation of the Confederation of Latin American States.

Let us all begin to work for this great Confederation! Let us all begin to dream of this great Latin American power!

LATIN AMERICAN CITIZENS! OUR HOUR HAS COME!

Chapter 69: FINAL GREETINGS

We greatly desire that you, dear reader, comprehend the teachings given in this book.

It is not enough to read this book. It is necessary to comprehend it. It is necessary to put it into practice. It is necessary to make it flesh and blood.

If you put this book into practice in your life, your life will be transformed. And if many readers put this book into practice in their lives, the world will be transformed.

That is what we hope. That is what we pray. That is what we work for.

The Latin American Christian Socialism is more than a doctrine. It is a way of life. It is a spiritual path. It is a Christ-centered politics.

We invite you to walk with us this path. We invite you to join the Latin American Christian Socialist Party. We invite you to work with us for a better world.

If you cannot join the Party, at least share its ideals. Share this book with your friends. Discuss its ideas. Apply them in your daily life.

Each one of us is small. But together we are great. Each one of us is weak. But together we are strong.

Together we can transform Latin America. Together we can transform the world. Together we can realize the Social Christ on earth.

May the most profound peace reign in your heart. May the love of the Christ illuminate your path. May the wisdom of the Father guide your steps.

May the Latin American Christian Socialism triumph for the good of humanity. May the new era of Aquarius bring peace, justice and love to all human beings.

Inverential Peace.
