Chapter One: FIRST LECTURE, THE ORIGIN OF MAN
Much has been investigated about the origin of man, and in truth, only hypotheses are what the materialist anthropologists of this decadent and shadowy age have elaborated. If we were to ask the gentlemen of materialist anthropology what was the date and the exact manner in which the first man arose, they certainly would not know how to give us an exact answer.
From the epochs of Mr. Darwin to Haeckel and later from Haeckel to our days, innumerable hypotheses and theories on the origin of man have arisen; however, we must clarify in emphatic form that none of such suppositions can really be demonstrated. Haeckel himself asserts with great emphasis that neither Geology nor that other science called Phylogeny will ever have exactitude within the field of official science itself.
If such an assertion is made by a Haeckel, what could we add to this question? In reality, this matter of the origin of life and of the origin of man could not be known with certainty so long as humanity has not studied gnostic anthropology in depth.
What do the materialist Protistas tell us? What do they affirm with such arrogance? What do they suppose about the origin of life and of the human psyche? Let us recall with entire meridian clarity the famous Atomic Moneron of Haeckel in the watery abyss. A complex atom that could in no way arise from chance, as that good gentleman supposes — ignorant at bottom, though praised by very many English. He did great harm to humanity with his famous theories. We would only say, parodying Job: May his memory be erased from humanity and may his name not figure in the streets!
Do you perhaps believe that the atom of the watery abyss, the Atomic Moneron, could arise from chance? If to build an atomic bomb the intelligence of scientists is needed, how much greater talent would be required for the elaboration of an atom!
If we denied the Intelligent Principles to Nature, mechanics would cease to exist. Because the existence of mechanics without mechanics is not possible. If someone considered possible the existence of any machine without an author, I would like him to demonstrate it, to place the chemical elements on the laboratory table so that a radio, an automobile, or simply an organic cell would arise. I believe that already D. Alfonso Herrera, the author of Plasmogeny, succeeded in fabricating the artificial cell; but it was always a dead cell that never had life.
What do the Protistas say? That Consciousness, the Being, Soul, or Spirit — simply the psychic principles — are no more than molecular evolutions of protoplasm through the centuries. Obviously the molecular souls of the fanatic Protistas would never withstand a thorough analysis. The cell-soul, the gelatinous Bathybius of the famous Haeckel, from which every organic species would have arisen, is good enough for a Molière and his caricatures.
At the bottom of all this question and behind so much mechanistic, evolutionist theory, what one has is the eagerness to combat the clergy. They always seek some system, some theory that may satisfy the mind and the heart in order to demolish the Hebrew Genesis. It is precisely the reaction against the biblical Adam and his famous Eve taken from a rib that is the living origin of the Darwins, the Haeckels, and the rest of their followers. But they should be sincere: manifest their dissatisfaction against every clericalist concept. It is not right that by simple reaction so many hypotheses devoid of any serious basis should be given origin.
What does Mr. Darwin tell us about that question of the catarrhine monkey? That possibly man came from there. However, he does not state it in such emphatic form as the German and English materialists suppose. Mr. Darwin, in truth, within his system, placed certain foundations that come to distort and even absolutely annihilate the supposed human derivation from the monkey, even though it be the catarrhine.
In the first place, as Huxley has already demonstrated, the skeleton of man is completely different in its construction from the skeleton of the monkey.
I do not doubt that there are certain similarities between the anthropoid and the poor intellectual animal mistakenly called man, but no definitive or defining exactness in this question.
The skeleton of the anthropoid is climbing — it is made for climbing, as the elasticity and construction of its bone system indicates. On the other hand, the human skeleton is made for walking. They are two different bone constructions.
On the other hand, the elasticity and even the cranial axis, so to speak, of the anthropoid and also of the human being are completely different, and this leaves us thinking very seriously.
Moreover, the materialist anthropologists themselves have said with entire meridian clarity that an organized being could in no way come from another that proceeds in the inverse, antithetically ordered.
On this point I should put forward a certain example. Let us look at man and the anthropoid.
Man, although in these times he is degenerated, is an organized being. Let us study the life and customs of the anthropoid, and we see that it is ordered in a different, contrary, antithetical form. An organized being could not, then, come from another ordered in opposite form. And this is always affirmed very severely by the very materialist schools.
What would be the age of the anthropoid? In what epoch would the first simians appear upon the face of the Earth?
Unquestionably in the Miocene. Who could deny it? They must have obviously appeared in the third part of the Miocene, some 15 to 25 million years ago.
Why had the anthropoids to appear upon the face of the Earth? Could the gentlemen of materialist anthropology give any exact answer, those brilliant modern scientists who so presume of being wise?… It is obvious that no!
Moreover, the Miocene in no way was located within the famous PANGEA so trumpeted by materialist Geology. It is evident that the Miocene had its own stage in the ancient Lemurian land, a continent previously located in the Pacific Ocean. Remains of Lemuria we still have in Oceania, with the great Australia, Easter Island where certain monoliths are carved, etc.
That materialist anthropology does not accept it because it is completely bottled up in its PANGEA?… What does it matter to science, and what to us! In reality, they are not going to discover Lemuria with the Carbon-14 tests, or the Potassium-Argon, or the Pollen — all those systems of tests, of the materialist type, are good enough for a Molière and his caricatures.
In these times, after the infinite hypotheses of the Haeckels, the Darwins, the Huxleys, and all their followers, the theory of the natural selection of species is still being enthroned, attributing to it no less than the power to create new species. In the name of truth, we must say that natural selection as creative power is simply a play of rhetoric for the ignorant, something that has no foundation.
That through selection new species may be created, that through natural selection man arose, is at bottom frightfully ridiculous and reveals ignorance carried to the extreme.
I do not deny natural selection; it is obvious that it exists, but it does not have the power to create new species. In reality what exists is physiological selection, the selection of structures, and the segregation of the most apt — that is all. To carry natural selection to the point of converting it into a universal creative power, that is the height of heights. To no true sage would such a foolishness occur. It has never been seen that through natural selection any new species arises. When, in what epoch?
Structures are selected, yes, we do not deny it. The strongest triumph in that struggle for the daily bread, in the ceaseless battle of every instant, in which one struggles to eat and not be eaten. Obviously the strongest triumphs, transmitting his characteristics to his descendants — physiological characteristics, structural characteristics. Then the select, the most apt, segregate themselves and transmit to their descendants such aptitudes. This is how the law of natural selection must be understood, this is how it must be comprehended.
Any species among the deep jungles of nature must struggle to swallow and not be swallowed. Obviously such a fight is frightful. As a result, naturally, the strongest triumph. In the strongest there are marvelous structures, important characteristics that are transmitted to their descendants. But this does not imply a change of figure; this does not signify the birth of new species. Never has any materialist scientist seen that from one species another arises by law of natural selection — they have no proof; they have never touched it.
On what do they base themselves? It is easy to launch a hypothesis and then to assert in dogmatic form that it is the truth and nothing but the truth.
However, are they not perhaps, the gentlemen of materialist anthropology, the ones who say that they believe only in what they see, that they accept nothing they have not seen?
What a terrible contradiction! They believe in their hypotheses and have never seen them.
The Possible Ancestors of Man
They affirm that the human being comes from the mouse. They have no proof of this; they have never perceived it directly. They also emphasize the idea that it comes from the baboon. Innumerable are the theories of these foolish scientists, absurd affirmations of facts that they have never seen.
We gnostics do not accept superstitions, and those are absurd superstitions. We are mathematical in investigation and demanding in expression. We do not like such fantasies; we want acts, concrete and definitive facts.
Investigating this question related to our possible ancestors, we can clearly evidence the chaotic state in which materialist science is found, the total disorder of their degenerate minds, and the lack of capacity for investigation. That is the raw reality of the facts.
This matter of certain hominid forms arising from others, just because, founded solely on tests as ridiculous as Carbon-14 or Potassium-Argon or Pollen, constitutes in reality the shame of this epoch of the twentieth century.
We gnostic anthropologists have different systems for investigation, we have special disciplines that allow us to put into activity certain faculties latent in the human brain, certain senses of perception completely unknown to materialist anthropology. That Nature has memory is logical, and one day it will be possible to demonstrate it. Modern scientific essays are already beginning to be made; soon the sound waves of the past will be able to be decomposed into images and will be perceptible through certain screens. There are already scientific attempts in that matter. Then the television viewers of the entire world will be able to see the origin of man and the history of the earth and its races.
When that day arrives, which is not late, the Antichrist of false science will be left naked before the solemn verdict of public consciousness.
This question of natural selection, of climate, environment, etc., truly fascinates many people, and consequently they forget about the original types from which the species arose.
The foolish scientists believe that natural selection could be processed in absolutely mechanistic form, without Intelligent Directing Principles. That would be as absurd as thinking that any machine in the world could be processed without an intelligent principle, without an architect mind, or without an engineer who had given it form.
Doubtlessly, those Intelligent Principles of Nature could only be rejected by the foolish, by those who pretend that any organic machine is capable of arising from chance. Never, ever will these principles be rejected by truly wise men in the most complete sense of the word.
As we go deeper into all this, we go on seeing all the failures of materialist anthropology. It is necessary to reflect profoundly on all these things. If they, instead of assuming that position of attack against any clericalism, had passed through a previous reflective analysis, never would they have dared to launch their anti-scientific hypotheses.
We well know that the Adam and Eve that so bother the gentlemen of materialist anthropology are no more than a symbol. Those profane anthropologists who wish to refute Genesis, it is good that they understand, and that we all understand, that Genesis is only a treatise of Alchemy for alchemists and that it should never be accepted in literal form. So the gentlemen of materialist anthropology strive to refute something they do not even know. For this reason I dare simply to say that their hypotheses never have solid bases.
Mr. Darwin himself never thought to go so far with his doctrines. Let us remember that he himself speaks of characterizations. After any organic species has passed through a selective process of structures and physiology, unquestionably it is characterized in constant and definitive form. So if the famous anthropoid or simian had to pass through selective processes, later it assumed its total characteristics and never again passed through any change — that is obvious.
The question of the Noe-pithecoid, with his famous three sons, the cynocephalus with a tail, the monkey without a tail, and the Paleolithic arboreal man, have never truly had precise, exact verifications. They are only theories without any foundation — certainly frightfully ridiculous.
Those who strive so much for the prosimian mammals, such as the famous lemurid, one sees that they do not remotely suspect what man is in himself and his origin. The famous lemurid, which is also considered one of our ancestors, so praised by some scientists for its famous discoidal placenta — that has nothing to do with the human genesis; all that at bottom is nothing but fantasies devoid of all reality.
The famous materialist scientists enter into action to study the mechanical evolution of the human species or of any of the other species, in the middle of the road, after these have crystallized in sensible form, for previously they had passed through terrible evolutive and involutive processes within psychological space, in the hypersensible, in the superior dimensions of Nature and of the Cosmos.
Of course, when we speak thus, the materialist anthropologists feel as nervous and bothered as the Chinese when they listen to some Western concert.
They laugh — possibly they laugh without knowing that he who laughs at what he does not know is on the way to being an idiot.
Similarities are sought, yes; it is made to be believed that the form of the head and mouth of the shark gives origin to other mammals, and among them brother mouse. Now the mouse has come to be a great gentleman, for he is no less than our ancestor, the predecessor of the Haeckels and of the Darwins, possibly, or of the Huxleys, or of the famous pharaohs of ancient Egypt, or of Einstein — what do I know! He is considered a prosimian mammal; he has come at last, in truth, to occupy a first-rate position in the lecture halls. How far has the ignorance of the human being gone! I do not deny that the mouse existed in Atlantis — certainly it had the size of any pig. About this Don Mario Roso de Luna, the renowned Spanish writer, speaks clearly.
If it existed in Atlantis, I do not deny it life in Lemuria either. But that it be, if not the most important, one of the most important ancestors of man — that turns out totally different. Truly when one does not know gnostic anthropology, one falls into the most frightful absurdities. Then the followers of the Antichrist bow before the mouse, before the shark, who is also considered an old ancestor, or before the lemurid, a very interesting little animal, etc. But when one already knows gnostic anthropology in depth, one does not fall into such ridiculous things. Upon carefully analyzing the principles of materialist anthropology, we discover that their fantasies are due precisely to total ignorance of Universal Gnosticism.
That because a feature of the face, etc., resembles another, that serves as a base to establish a possible descent, is at bottom as empirical as those who suppose that man was made from clay, who take it in the literal sense of the phrase between parentheses, without realizing that it is no more than something symbolic.
The original germs of great Nature, men or beasts, always develop in psychological space and within the superior dimensions, before crystallizing in physical form, and there is no doubt that they are similar in their constructions, so that they could never serve as a base or foundation to establish a theory or simply to launch a basic concept. The germs differentiate as they crystallize, and slowly — that is barely normal. The origin of man is something more profound. He developed from the Chaos, in the superior dimensions of Nature, until crystallizing in sensible form in ancient times.
Unquestionably in future chapters we will advance more and more in all this question. I wish to say with entire sincerity that the origin of humanity will be uncovered in these conferences — what primary and secondary causes gave origin to the human species.
Do the materialist anthropologists perhaps know this? If the same scientific followers of Haeckel know very well that the entire geological past and materialist phylogeny will never come to be an exact science, so they have affirmed, so they have said… then what?
We are in an epoch of great longings, and the mystery of the origin of man must be clarified. The terrain of hypotheses is detestable; it is like a wall without foundations; a slight push is enough to convert it into fine sediment. The gravest aspect of materialist anthropology is to deny the Intelligent Principles of the universal machinery. Obviously, such an attitude leaves the machinery without bases, without foundations. It is not possible for the machine to function or to be constructed at random. The Intelligent Principles of Nature are active, and in every selective process they manifest themselves wisely.
Absurd also is to bottle ourselves up in the dogma of evolutive mechanics. If in Nature there exist constructive principles, unquestionably there also exist destructive ones.
If there is evolution in the living species, there is also involution. There is evolution, for example, in the germ that dies so that the stalk may be born, in the plant that grows, that puts forth leaves, and that at last gives fruit. There is involution in the plant that withers and dies and at last is converted into a pile of wood. There is evolution in the creature that gestates within the maternal womb, in the child who plays, in the youth. There is involution in the elder who declines and at last dies. Worlds evolve when they emerge from the Chaos into life; later they involve when at last they are converted into new moons.
So if we consider Anthropology exclusively through evolutive mechanics, we are speaking in partial form, we fall into error.
But if we also study Anthropology in the light of involution, then we march in a balanced way, because EVOLUTION AND INVOLUTION constitute the mechanical axis of all Nature. So to consider that evolution is the only basis of all this great natural mechanism turns out absolutely absurd. We must consider life and death, the times of development and the times of decline; only thus shall we march correctly within gnostic dialectics in its integral form.
In no way are we disposed to remain bottled up in the materialist evolutive dogma. We have to study also the involutive processes of Anthropology, or we march by the path of error.
Which are the original types of this human race?
We have methods, scientific systems, by means of which we can see, hear, touch, and palpate those original types. We well know that before the intellectual animal appeared upon the face of the Earth in the Atlantis of Plato — which is not a simple fantasy as the ignorant fanatics of the famous materialist Pangea pretend — man already existed.
In Lemuria man existed, the same as in the Hyperborean and Polar epoch; but these are points that we will only develop in future conferences for greater clarity of all those who listen to and read this conference. Atlantis truly existed; it was a continent located in the Atlantic Ocean. Remains of Atlantis: we have the archipelago of the Antilles, the Canary Islands, and even Spain itself, which is a piece of ancient Atlantis.
But this is not known by the fanatics of materialist anthropology, nor by the geologists so backward at bottom, incapable of projecting themselves in time.
How could they know anything about what occurred so many millions of years ago, in the land of the Miocene? What do they know of the Miocene? Have they seen it, have they touched it, have they palpated it?
If we speak of the Miocene it is because we can see it, and we know that it is accessible to him who is capable of developing the transcendental faculties of the Being, latent in the human brain.
But the attitude of materialist negation is incongruent; they say that they believe only in what they see, and they believe in all their absurd hypotheses. Hypotheses that no one has seen, that no one has proof of.
In truth, no scientist ever saw the first man, but they speak with such self-sufficiency as if they had been in the Miocene, as if they had seen the anthropoids arising there, from ancient Lemuria.
The materialist Anthropologists enthrone their marvelous gods, such as the famous lemurids and also the baboons, as sublime prosimians from which we descend.
Do they have proof of this? Have they seen them at any time? Never! On what do they base themselves? On things they have seen? And are they not themselves the ones who say that they believe only in what they see?
Then, why are they believing in what they have never seen? Is this not perhaps a contradiction? Is this not at bottom incongruent?
Glossary of the First Lecture
CHARLES ROBERT DARWIN — (1809–1882) British Biologist. He interprets the evolutionist theories in terms of the theory of Natural Selection and the struggle for existence. His principal work was “The Origin of Species by Means of Natural Selection,” published in 1859. He was preceded by his own grandfather Erasmus Darwin (1731–1802), author of “Zoonomia,” by Lamarck, and others of lesser renown and importance.
ERNST HEINRICH HAECKEL — (1834–1919) German Biologist, who adhered to the Darwinist theories. Author of “Natural Creation” and “System of the Siphonophorae,” where he sets forth his naturalist or materialist monism, according to which life would arise “under favorable conditions” in the watery abyss of the ocean with the famous “atomic moneron,” Bathybius — a gelatinous protozoan animal (Bathybius comes from bathys = deep and bios = life in Greek).
PROTISTAS — They are the naturalists, biologists, etc., followers of evolutionism, who, under the pretext of justifying their Dogma of Evolution, have invented “INTERMEDIATE” kingdoms and animal species, which would exist in a remote past. They believe thus to fill the hole left by the famous “MISSING LINKS.” Such intermediate kingdoms are also called “PROTISTA” and include beings of doubtful classification.
ATOMIC MONERON — (See note on Ernst Heinrich Haeckel).
JEAN BAPTISTE POQUELIN — Called MOLIÈRE (1622–1673). French comedy writer. The highest exponent of French comic theater. He censures with sharpness the vices of his epoch and knows how to find the ridiculous aspect of situations and characters.
CATARRHINES — From the Greek: kata — downward, rhinos — nose. Genus of monkeys having a very narrow nasal septum so that the openings of the nose are directed downward. Also by opposition to PLATYRRHINES: animals (especially monkeys) with a wide and flattened nose. The tailless catarrhine monkey (e.g., the orangutan and the gorilla) is called “Anthropoid” because it resembles outwardly the intellectual animal mistakenly called man.
THOMAS HENRY HUXLEY — (1825–1895) Father of Leonard Huxley, who in turn is father of Aldous Huxley. Thomas, as biologist and writer, wished to promote the popular understanding of science. He shared the evolutionism of DARWIN, author of “Oceanic Hydrozoa” and “A Manual of the Anatomy of vertebrate animals.”
MIOCENE — Fourth epoch of the Cenozoic Era, tertiary period, according to the classification of materialist science. It extends from 25 million years ago to about 15 or 13 million.
PANGEA — From the Greek (pan = all, Gea = earth). Theory on the displacement of the continents, conceived in 1912 by the German geophysicist and meteorologist Alfred Lothar Wegener (1880–1930). According to this theory, in a distant past all the present continents would have been United and have been displacing themselves through supposed continental movements.
THE CARBON-14, POTASSIUM-ARGON, POLLEN, AND OTHER TESTS — Are the systems employed by materialist science to investigate the geological constitution of the past, to determine the antiquity of archaeological findings, etc. The Carbon-14 or Radio-Carbon test is based on physical-chemical procedures and on the fact that living beings assimilate the Carbon-14 isotope, storing it in the hard parts: bones, teeth, wood, etc. With this method they manage to detect ages of 50 to 60 thousand years maximum. The other systems are much less “exact” and “reliable” according to materialist science itself.
QUADRUMANOUS: West African cynocephalus.
CYNOCEPHALUS: (From Greek kuon, dog, and kephalē, head). Species of large monkey of Africa, whose head recalls that of dogs. The Egyptians adored the cynocephali.
PROSIMIANS: Or prosimian mammals, ancient order of mammals equivalent to the current Lemurs, characterized by having an opposable thumb on some of their extremities. According to materialist science, they would be the missing link between the chiropterans and the true monkeys.
ALTO: In the dictionary “Petit Larousse Illustré” it is commented that the mouse was anciently denominated with the word “ALTO.”
ALFONSO L. HERRERA: Mexican biologist, born in the capital on July 3, 1868. He is known in the scientific world for his works on plasmogeny, a new science dealing with the origin of plasma, which has been created by him. He has initiated an etheric philosophy and defines life as movement in the infinite, reducing all that exists to the properties of ether, considered as primordial chemical element. His experiments on plasmogeny are recorded in 35 volumes of works published from 1892 to 1925. His capital work is “La vie sur les hauts plateaux”; he has also written works such as: Notions de biologie et de plasmogénie, Berlin, 1906; Mexican Pharmacopoeia, and others.
PLASMOGENY: According to the etymology of the word it means production or formation of protoplasm, which is the living substance of the cell. But what the moderns wish to signify with this word is the artificial production not only of protoplasm or living substance, but also of cells, tissues, and even whole organisms, counting only on physical-chemical forces.
PHYLOGENY: The supposed development of the species from other, more ancient, different ones; it comes to be the hypothetical genealogical tree of the species; the inventor of this term was Haeckel.
That Consciousness, the Being, Soul, or Spirit — simply the psychic principles — are no more than molecular evolutions of protoplasm through the centuries.
Chapter Two: SECOND LECTURE
The theme of the origin of man is really very debatable, very thorny. Mr. Darwin set forth certain principles in his work that should be remembered by the materialist anthropologists themselves. Mr. Darwin says that “a species that evolves positively could in no way descend from another that evolves negatively.” Mr. Darwin also affirms that “two similar but different species can refer to a common ancestor, but never would one come from the other.”
So as we advance in these disquisitions of scientific Anthropology, we obviously find certain contradictions in materialism. How is it possible that the Darwinist principles are ignored? How is it possible that even today there are those who think that man comes from the monkey? Unquestionably, the facts are speaking for themselves; until now the famous missing link has never been found. Where is it?
Much has been said against the existence of the father of Manu, the Dhyan-Chohan, but in reality it is millions of people in the eastern world and even in the western who accept the Dhyan-Chohan. Moreover, such a belief is more logical than that monkey-man whom Haeckel wished to exist, but who in truth was no more than a simple fantasy of his author. Times pass and the famous monkey-man has not been discovered anywhere on Earth.
Where would there be a monkey that reasons, that thinks, that has a language understandable by everyone? Which is it?
Unquestionably, this class of literary fantasies serves at bottom absolutely no purpose. Observe, for example, the size of the brains: the brain of a gorilla, in volume, does not even reach a third of the brain of any savage of Australia, who we well know, in parenthesis, are the most primitive creatures of our terrestrial globe. There would be missing a link to connect the most advanced gorilla with the most backward savage of Australia. Where is that link? What became of it? Does it even exist?
Doubtlessly in the Lemurian continent, during the Mesozoic era, the first simians arose. But what would be their origin? Gnosis affirms in emphatic form that certain human Lemurian groups mixed with some subhuman beasts to originate the species of simians. Haeckel never opposed the concept that the simians had their birth in Lemuria; he always accepted the reality of that continent.
But let us reflect a little. Where was Lemuria located? In the Pacific Ocean, that is obvious. It covered an extensive zone of that sea. Through ten thousand years of earthquakes it was gradually submerged amid the raging waves of the ocean. But remains of Lemuria stayed, in Oceania, Australia, Easter Island, etc. Lemuria had reality; it occupied its place in a very ancient time. This may bother today those materialist anthropologists who are partisans of Pangea. Those gentlemen have so bottled themselves up in their dogmatism about Pangea that they would not remotely accept the possibility of Lemuria.
That the simians were born during the Mesozoic era, in the very epoch of the Miocene, third part of the Eocene, has absolutely nothing strange. But our affirmations do not end there. Other species of monkeys also had their origin in the Atlantis of Plato, which is no more than a simple myth for the materialist gentlemen, fanatics of Pangea. However, Atlantis existed, even though they deny it. It has already been discovered, even though they oppose it. Anyone who has studied the marine floor knows very well that between America and Europe there even today exists a great platform. Not long ago, precisely some scientists who had discovered Atlantis proposed to explore it from Spain. However, it was the epoch of the Franco regime and it was not possible for them.
Atlantis is not, then, what is believed — a fantastic legend. It had reality. The map of the world in other times was completely different. All is changing. Even Pangea itself of the materialist anthropologists must have undergone tremendous changes.
For we well know that the continents are floating; already Don Mario Roso de Luna has explained it clearly, and this should not surprise anyone. On this the materialist fanatics of Pangea do agree; they do not deny it. But they still lack very much to know the causes or motives of such continental flotations. I believe that if they were to read Don Mario Roso de Luna — something that I consider rather impossible — they would better complete their information.
If we were to think of our Earth as an egg, the yolk would be the continents sustained upon a white, and between the yolk and the white there are naturally substances, liquids, elements that materialist science, today, does not know.
There are those who believe that certain types of superior monkeys, or apes, we would say, like the gorilla, the chimpanzee, come from Lemuria. There are also those who clearly affirm that the inferior classes, like the catarrhine, the platyrrhine, etc., come properly from Atlantis. To this we will not raise objections, but we do have to reflect, and profoundly.
At present, certain very nice commentaries are being made; materialist science invents new hypotheses every day. They have established a very curious chain, ridiculous par excellence, in relation to our possible ancestors. As king of that chain appears the shark, from which descend, according to the materialist anthropologists, the lizards.
Ridiculous theory, isn’t it? Only conceivable by lizard minds, really, and then they proceed with the famous opossum, a creature similar to the crocodile but a little more evolved, as they emphasize. And from there they pass, following the course of the great chain of marvels, to a certain little animal to which in these times has been given a great deal of importance. I refer emphatically to the lemurid or Lemur, as they call it. They attribute to it a discoidal placenta, a question that is rejected by the zoologists themselves.
Tremendous contradictions we find in these recesses of materialist anthropological science. The question continues, saying that from that little animal which may have existed some one hundred and fifty million years ago, descends in turn the monkey, and finally the gorilla. In that chain the gorilla is our immediate ancestor, the ancestor of man.
Some anthropologists, as I said in my past lecture, do not fail to include the poor mouse in these questions, and even want to include it also within this chain. How? In what manner? There would no longer be seven components; there would be eight.
Let them and their theories be! They affirm with a tone of extraordinary wisdom that man was tiny, microscopic, that is, so very small that today we would be astonished to see him. On what do they base themselves? That the mouse is small, that, like us, are also, according to them, sons of a mouse. I do not know where in the chain they include it, possibly before the lemurid or after the lemurid.
We went on growing until reaching the stature of high civilization and extraordinary perfection that we have today. God help us and Holy Mary, today the mouse has come to occupy the first positions in public conferences. And if things continue thus, in some time the Government will have to prohibit the killing of mice, for they are, according to them, no less than our ancestors.
But where are the links? How is it possible that from the shark, just because, the lizard would appear from one day to the next or through a few centuries? Millions of years have passed and the sharks continue tranquilly. And it has never been seen that from a species of sharks, whether in the Atlantic or in the Pacific, new lizards are born. To begin with, lizards — at least those I have known, if they are not too civilized yet and going about the streets inventing theories — are really not found in the sea, but in rivers and lakes.
Do you perhaps know of any kind of lizards or crocodiles emerging from the raging waves of the ocean? Everyone well knows that lizards are of fresh water. We have seen them in the great rivers and that I can confirm. I have also visited the oceans and I have never seen, nor ever heard, that any fisherman has fished a lizard in the open ocean. They will fish sharks, but lizards, when?
We are speaking on concrete, clear, and definitive facts. And where would be the links that connect the lizard with the opossum? And where would be the links that connect the opossum with that little lemurid animal which, lacking a placenta, but pointed out by Haeckel as a creature with discoidal placenta? And continuing, where would be the links that connect such a creature with the monkey? And finally, where would be the links from the monkey to the gorilla? And where would be the links from the gorilla to man? Which are they? We are seeing, then, concrete facts; the links are missing.
To speak thus, just because, turns out too absurd. Much has been spoken about the Moneron, atom of the watery abyss, first pinch of salt in a Silurian ocean full of mud at the bottom and where the first layer of rocks had not yet been deposited. But what is the origin of the Moneron? Could one perhaps conceive that something so extraordinary as the first atomic point of protoplasm — so duly organized and with such complex construction — could have resulted from chance, from coincidence? I understand that, in denying the Intelligent Principles to Nature, protoplasm loses all sense of organization. The times pass, and materialist anthropology will go on being destroyed little by little. The materialist anthropologists have not been able until now to say at what date and how the first man arose. Hypotheses, nothing more, and such hypotheses turn out rather ridiculous; they have no serious foundations.
Much is appealed to in materialist anthropology to the question of Australia. The merely materialist anthropology’s position is very convenient, in saying that the existing tribes in Australia descend from the monkey. Scientifically this falls to the ground. If brains are measured and comparisons made, the brain of a very advanced gorilla does not reach half the volume of that of a savage of Australia. A link would be missing, then, between the most advanced gorilla and a savage Australian.
Where is that link? Let them present it to us, let them show it to us; here we all are to see it; to affirm thus, just to affirm, without a serious basis, turns out frightfully ridiculous. I said in my past talk that they, the gentlemen of anthropological materialism, affirm in too grandiloquent a form that they believe only in what they see, but the facts are demonstrating their falsity. They are believing with firmness in absurd hypotheses they have never seen. That saying we in our origin come from the shark, then establishing a chain of caprices, simply by physiognomic resemblances, demonstrates at bottom a superficiality carried to the extreme. If they write that, in truth it is to abuse too much the intelligence of readers. If they speak that, they turn out at bottom terribly comical and even absurd.
That in Lemuria — a continent that today the frightful fanatics of Pangea may put into doubt — human beings have mixed with beasts, we do not put into doubt. From there resulted not only simians, but multiple bestial forms that even today have documentation both in the east and in the west of the world.
We will cite as an example certain strange Lemurian simians that could naturally serve as mockery for the superficial materialists of this epoch, but in truth one must affirm with courage what is real. I refer to some species that existed, which as soon moved on hands and feet, like any simian, as stood erect on its two feet — blue faces and also red. Product of certain human beings crossed with subhuman beasts of the Miocene, especially of the Mesozoic epoch. That they spoke, the old legends do say. About all the foregoing we find references in papyri, codices, bricks; in ancient monuments and in archaic manuscripts. So many were the simian-like forms that arose in the old continent of Mu.
But how would man arise? In what manner? Until now this has been a true puzzle for the materialists of Darwin and Haeckel, and even for the contemporary materialist anthropologists. Where could we find the origin of man? Unquestionably in man himself. In what other place?
Let us concentrate now on Australia. What do the materialist anthropologists say? That the current Australian tribes have as ancestors the monkeys. Of course, they cannot prove it, but they affirm it, they believe it; they have not seen it, but they believe it, although they say they cannot ever believe in things they have not seen. See how paradoxical these gentlemen turn out.
The Australian clans are the most primitive that currently exist in the world. What would be the origin of such tribes? One would have to know what is the origin of Australia. Australia is truly a piece of Lemuria, located in the Pacific, an old, very old land.
The ancestors of those tribes, where will they be? Let us speak of their physical bodies. Obviously we shall find such bone remains at the bottom itself of the Pacific. Remains of beasts, because truly the Australian tribes are a mixture of certain men with certain beasts; they passed through many transformations and currently exist. One would have to observe such tribes to realize evidently that they are mixtures of inhabitants of ancient Lemuria with certain beasts of Nature.
For example, there are places in Australia where the hair on the bodies of the people is so abundant that it seems rather like the skin of beasts. That gives, naturally, an apparent base for the materialist gentlemen to say: Behold… They are children of the anthropoids… Our theory demonstrated! The materialist anthropologists are terribly superficial; they do not truly have maturity in understanding; they are minds in a state of decrepitude, degenerated, and that is truly regrettable. If we truly wish to seek the origin of man, we must know Ontogeny in depth. It would not be possible to know Phylogeny excluding Ontogeny. Observe the processes of recapitulation of the human being in the maternal womb.
Nature always makes recapitulations. Observe a seed, a germ of a tree. There is a tree in a complete potential state; only the development is lacking, and for it to develop in this earth, water, and air, and sun are needed. Nature.
It recapitulates all the processes of the tree that served as father, we would say, for the germ that is to be developed; or in other terms we would say: Nature recapitulates in that germ that is to unfold, the processes through which the entire family of that tree passed, all that species of trees, and they slowly unfold, growing the same as the other trees grew — the tree from which such germ was detached. There is always a process of recapitulation, leaf after leaf, until the tree finally gives fruit and seed also, so that other trees that are born always make the same recapitulations.
Let us observe how Nature in the Cosmos recapitulates all its marvels. Each year the spring, summer, autumn, and winter return; it is a perfect recapitulation. So also, I repeat, in the maternal womb there is a correct recapitulation of the entire human species. There are in the maternal womb all the phases through which the human being has passed since its most ancient origins.
In the first place, no one could deny that in the womb, the fetus passes through the four kingdoms of Nature: first it is stone, second plant, third animal, and fourth man. As stone, as germ or corpuscle it is inorganic; it is the ovum that is detached from the ovary and that is going to unite with organic matter. The circulation conducts such ovum to the very depths of the organic matter for its development.
In the second aspect we see the vegetable state, a kind of round carrot at its base and pointed at its upper part. When studied clinically it would seem rather like an onion with various layers, between which there is a marvelous liquid. From the navel of that apparent onion hangs the possibility of the fetus, like the fruit of a plant. There is the vegetable state.
Later the animal form appears. Yes, the fetus takes the form of the tadpole, and that is completely demonstrated. And finally it assumes the human figure. The four phases are: one mineral, another vegetable, another animal, and another human; but has a monkey been seen along the way? To what physician, to what scientist has it been confirmed to have seen at any time the anthropoid phase? Which is the doctor who has seen that during the process of fetal recapitulation, the fetus ever takes the figure of a catarrhine monkey, or platyrrhine, or of an orangutan or a gorilla? So it is absurd what materialist science affirms. The origin of man must be sought in the very womb of the woman. In those processes of recapitulation is the origin of man, the phases through which he has passed.
Neither has a shark appeared in the womb of the mother. Where is it? Which is it? The lemurid, that little animal previously mentioned and over which Haeckel himself became passionate, where is it? In what phase of pregnancy does it appear? Why do those gentlemen wish to go outside the correct? Why do they not seek the origin of the human being within the human being himself? Why do they go seeking it outside? All the laws of Nature exist within oneself, and if we do not find them within ourselves, we will never find them outside of ourselves.
But we have reached a very delicate and rather difficult point. That we were stones, that we were plants, that we were animals, man — well, accepted — but when? How? What primary or secondary causes governed all these processes? Enigmas! Could these enigmas perhaps be clarified? If the materialist gentlemen were not fanaticized with the dogma of the three-dimensional geometry of Euclid, all would be different. Unfortunately, they are set on wanting all of us to accept that dogma by force. They want to keep us bottled up within such a dogma. That is as absurd as wanting to bottle up the Universal Life or as wanting to enclose the ocean within a glass cup.
That a fourth coordinate exists, a fourth vertical, that is undeniable, but it bothers the materialists. However, Einstein, who cooperated in the fabrication of the atomic bomb, accepted the Fourth Dimension. In mathematics no one can deny the Fourth Dimension. But to the materialist people of this epoch, not even so does this knowledge enter — that other superior dimensions in Nature may exist. By force they want us to enclose ourselves, or to enclose ourselves, all in the three-dimensional world of Euclid, and due to that false absurd position in which they are, they have Physics completely halted in its advance. This is the hour when there should already exist cosmic ships capable of traveling through the infinite, but such a longing would not be possible while Physics continues bottled up in the three-dimensional dogma of Euclid.
If these gentlemen — who until now have not been able to answer the question: Where did man arise, on what date, and when? — were truly to accept the possibility of a fourth dimension and of a fifth and a sixth and a seventh, all would be different. But we are sure that they do not accept it, nor will they ever accept it. Why? Because their minds are in a process of frank degeneration due to sexual abuse, and in those conditions it is not possible that they accept this thesis we set forth to them. They would have to begin by regenerating the brain before they would accept our gnostic postulates.
Stone, plant, animal, man — there is the very base of a serious Anthropology. Let us think on the form prior to the human state, on our legitimate ancestors. Unquestionably we would find ourselves with the animal life in Nature, but located in a fourth dimension, this being shocking to materialism. However, it is the same materialists who laughed at Pasteur and his theories, who mocked him when he disinfected the instruments of surgery. They never believed in microorganisms because they did not see them; today they accept them.
Can animal life exist in a fourth coordinate? Obviously yes! Will there be some system, some method of verification? Of course yes, but systems very different from those of a materialist science that is in a retarded state. Who has those processes and systems? We have them, and with much pleasure we teach them to those who truly wish to investigate in the field of Pure Science.
Was there animal life, then, in the fourth coordinate? It is obvious that there was. Was there vegetable life in the fifth coordinate? There was. And was there mineral life in the sixth coordinate? Yes, but I clarify: the mineral life of the sixth coordinate, or the vegetable of the fifth, or the animal of the fourth, would in no way resemble the mineral, vegetable, and animal life of our merely physical world. That later this mineral, vegetable, and animal life condensed here, in this globe of three-dimensional matter, we do not deny. But that was through the course of millions of years.
How could we in some way define the evolutive processes from the mineral to man? It would not be possible if we eliminated from Nature the question raised by Leibniz. I refer to the Monads, Intelligent Principles of Nature, the Monads or Jivas. Certainly, between the Atomic Moneron of Haeckel and the Zaristripa of Manu, or the Jiva of the Hindustanis, or the Monad of Leibniz, as one wishes to call it, there is a whole abyss. Because the Atomic Moneron of Haeckel is very far from what the true Monad or Principle of Life is.
So it is true and entirely true that the virginal sparks, or simply the Monads of Leibniz, evolved in the mineral kingdom during the epoch of great activities of the sixth dimension. They also evolved in the vegetable kingdom in the fifth dimension, and advanced to the animal state in the fourth dimension. This is unquestionable.
These dimensions of Nature, the day is not far when they may be seen through very delicate optical apparatuses. But until that day arrives, we, the gnostic anthropologists, can be sure that we will have to bear the same mockery that Pasteur bore when he spoke of his microbes. But one day these dimensions will be perceptible by means of optics, and then the mockery will end. For now, as I was telling you, experiments are being attempted to transform sound waves into images; when this happens, all the evolutive and involutive processes of Nature will be able to be seen. And then the Antichrist of false science will be left naked before the solemn verdict of public consciousness.
As for the human organism, do you not see that in principle it is invisible? With the naked eye one does not see a spermatozoon and an ovum when they begin the process of conception, when the germinal cell begins to form. Who could suppose that from a spermatozoon and a fertilizing cell a Creature could come? And is it seen at simple sight? It is known to exist by the microscope; that is obvious.
So let us concentrate on facts: the Monads that passed through the mineral kingdom in the sixth dimension are the same that passed through the vegetable kingdom in the fifth and through the animal kingdom in the fourth. And precisely it was at the end of the fourth when a certain creature similar to the anthropoid appeared, but not an anthropoid, not a gorilla, not a chimpanzee or something of the sort.
On approaching the epoch of activity for the three-dimensional world of Euclid, such a form underwent some changes, some metamorphoses, the same as those undergone by planet Earth, and crystallized at last in a human figure. Bear in mind that the morphology of human creatures and of Nature goes on changing as the centuries pass. Unquestionably the human morphology arose in accord with the protoplasmic age of our Earth to come truly into existence, and passing through the Hyperborean and Lemurian and Atlantean periods, the morphology was altering somewhat until our days. The creatures that preceded us, the ancient human race, as the traditions of ancient Mexico and of various countries of the Earth attest, were giants; they have been losing stature until being what they currently are.
If we were to explain the four stages — mineral, vegetable, animal, and human — exclusively within the three-dimensional zone of Euclid in this world Earth, I am sure, absolutely sure, that all that would really be converted into new enigmas without any solution. As we go deeper into this question, and after the so frightful failure of materialist anthropology — being unable to truly give a date or the how or the when of the arising of the human being — today the scientists have no other remedy than to accept the raw reality of the superior dimensions of Nature and of the Cosmos. Let them deny it, they have the right to deny it. Let them laugh; I have already said: he who laughs at what he does not know is on the way to being an idiot. Why don’t they see? Neither did Pasteur see the microbes, and yet today optics can see them.
As time passes, materialist science will be left naked before the new discoveries. And each day it will sink more and more within the very well of its own ignorance.
That matter of the Noe-pithecoid with his three bastard sons — the cynocephalus with a tail, the monkey without a tail, and the arboreal man — turns out truly good for a Molière and his caricatures. In truth we have nothing of Pithecoids in our blood; until now the facts speak for us.
Glossary of the Second Lecture
EINSTEIN (ALBERT) — German Physicist (1879–1955), naturalized in North America in 1940. Author of his numerous studies of theoretical physics, he formulated the “Theory of Relativity,” of supreme transcendence in modern science.
EOCENE — Begins at the conclusion of the secondary epoch and ends at the beginning of the Miocene.
JIVA — (Skt.) Life, in the sense of the absolute; also signifies the Monad or “Atma-Buddhi.” Jiva also has the meanings of: vital principle, soul or living spirit; being, individual soul or spirit, human self; Creature or living being, existence. At the end of a compound word it signifies: alive, living, vivifying.
LEIBNIZ (Gottfried Wilhelm): Celebrated German philosopher, mathematician, physicist, historian, jurist, theologian, born in Leipzig on July 6, 1646. Died in Hanover on November 14, 1716. In his “New Treatise on Human Understanding,” the “Theodicy,” and the “Monadology,” he develops his philosophy.
MANU — Name of 14 heroic personages of India, each of whom is the head and origin of a space of time at the end of which the world undergoes a momentary destruction. The first of these, father of the human race, has written the famous code called Manava-Dharma-Shastra. In that code, divided into 12 books, public and private law and the commandments of God are treated.
MESOZOIC — Geological period that lasted approximately from 190 million to 70 million years ago. It is known as the era of the great reptiles.
MONAD — Each of the invisible beings into which the world decomposes, according to the system of Leibniz, who, to explain it, supposes it composed of indivisible beings, all representative of the same universe of which they form part, although with representation suited to their category, and unfolding in an immense series from the lowest order to the infinite.
ONTOGENY — Studies the development of each living being from its first generating cell to its adult state. For Haeckel, ontogeny is the abbreviated repetition of phylogeny, that is, of the history of the lineage, which he called the Fundamental Biogenetic Law.
PLACENTA — Organ very rich in blood vessels in the embryos of placental mammals, by which the nutrition and respiration of the embryo are made possible, since those blood vessels come into intimate contact with those of the maternal uterus. The embryo is united to the placenta by the umbilical cord. The formation of the placenta begins in the chorion and is in relation with the allantois. The serosa produces branched papillae into which blood vessels enter. When the papillae grow in a rounded region, the discoidal placenta originates, as occurs in the human genus, insectivores, prosimians, monkeys, chiropterans, and rodents. In various monkeys two discs form, bi-discoidal placenta.
Moreover, such a belief is more logical than that monkey-man whom Haeckel wished to exist, but who in truth was no more than a simple fantasy of his author.
Chapter Three: THIRD LECTURE
The hour has come to make certain analyses in relation to man. Certainly, and in the name of truth, merely materialist Anthropology knows nothing about the origin of man. Already in previous lectures we made some superficial analyses, and now we are going to delve somewhat more deeply into this question.
Let us think for a moment of the Mesozoic times of our world, of the era of reptiles. Then in truth man existed. Of course, materialist anthropology denies this. In truth, merely profane anthropology is ignorant of the real origin of the human being. Materialist anthropology would have it that man did not exist before the quaternary era; he is denied the possibility of having existed during the Cenozoic period, which at bottom turns out manifestly absurd.
However, there are things that leave one thinking, and it is the following: why certain species, like the Plesiosaurus and the Pterodactyl, could survive for so long and at last died, leaving today only their remains in some museums. Yet man, despite the fact that those species died, that they became extinct upon the face of the Earth, still continues to exist. Why did the species of the Mesozoic period, of the Mesozoic epoch, become extinct? And how is it that human beings have not become extinct? So many species disappeared and human beings continue alive. How is that? What explanation could materialist science give? It gives none.
Obviously the human species should have disappeared. If their contemporaries of the quaternary and tertiary epochs disappeared, human beings should also have disappeared from the face of the Earth, but they continue. This allows us to infer the existence of the human being long before the quaternary epoch, and even more, long before the epoch of reptiles or of the carboniferous age.
There is a right to claim the existence of human beings in times that are beyond the Mesozoic period. Such a right is conferred upon us precisely by the concrete fact, I repeat, that all the species of the tertiary and quaternary epoch have disappeared and that nevertheless their contemporary, man, continues to exist. If the other species disappeared, by induction we must say that, since the intellectual animal called man has not disappeared, he must have existed beyond the Mesozoic epoch and the carboniferous epoch. The facts are demonstrating it. And facts are facts, and before facts we have to yield.
One thing is terribly certain. The Bible speaks to us, for example, of flying serpents, and Job cites Leviathan. The Zohar affirms in emphatic form that the tempter serpent of Eden was a flying camel. By the way, it is not out of place to recall that in Germany a species of flying camel was found. I refer to fossil remains that could be perfectly organized by the anthropologists. It has a size of seventy-eight feet — it is gigantic, with a long, very long neck, similar to that of camels, and yet provided with membranous wings. When the body of those bone remains is observed, it can be evidenced that in truth it is a flying serpent, similar to the camel as to its long neck.
Could it perhaps be Leviathan? What would the anthropologists say to that? Obviously that saurian, or better said Mesosaur, is at bottom only the remains or what is left of what the flying serpents of archaic times of our world or Earth were. We conclude saying that the Mesosaur has more relation with the Ophidian than with the Lacertian.
Delving into all this, we find other very interesting aspects within the field of Anthropology. In the Imperial Library of Peking, for example, there existed paintings in which some Plesiosaurs and also some Pterodactyls appeared. How is it possible that the ancients, who knew nothing of Paleontography or Paleontology, knew species already extinct from the very epoch of reptiles?
That is something that would have no logical explanation if we did not know the possibility of developing in the human brain certain faculties of a transcendental type, faculties that would allow us the study of the history of Nature and Man at the very depths of the memories that lie hidden in all that is, has been, and shall be.
In truth, my esteemed friends, we have to know that this, the current man, is in no way the real Man. The only thing on which we could agree with the merely profane anthropologists is on the question of the Intellectual Animal. That this comes truly from the quaternary epoch or end of the tertiary epoch is something that in no way I would deny. But before all, it is convenient to make a full differentiation between Man and the Intellectual Animal. The true Man existed beyond the carboniferous epoch and the merely Mesozoic age.
This true Man lived in the epoch of reptiles. Unfortunately, some authentic human beings terribly degenerated at the end of the tertiary epoch, during the Miocene. They mixed then, unfortunately, as I already said in my past talk, with some beasts of Nature. And from them resulted certain gigantic simians (I am repeating something I already said), which had blue or red faces, walked on feet and hands or stood erect as bipeds, and had the capacity to speak. In turn, such specimens had to mix with other subhuman beasts, and from all this resulted the simians we know, or also based on certain evolutions some types of Humanoids.
These Humanoids continued reproducing ceaselessly during the quaternary epoch. Subsequently, in this epoch in which we find ourselves, these Humanoids are the current humanity — a mixture of authentic Men with beasts of Nature.
Now you will see, then, the difference that exists between the real Men of the first, second, and third race and the Intellectual Animals of the fourth and fifth race in which we find ourselves. However, this is no reason for us to become discouraged. The germs for Man are in the very sexual glands; we carry them. There is no one who does not bear such germs, since it is the result of the mixture of Man with animal. If he bears such germs, the possibility exists of elevating himself to the true human state. Yes, that yes, one must work with such germs, one must truly know the Mysteries of Sex in order to be able to create the authentic Man within oneself.
Unfortunately the materialist anthropologists believe they are men; they are absolutely ignorant of the Mysteries of Sex and invent multiple theories about the origin of the human species that in no way could really be useful. I think that all those theories of the materialist anthropologists are causing very grave damage to the peoples. It is regrettable that materialist anthropology is corrupting the human race; it is already quite degenerated. With such theories it degenerates each day in worse form.
We as gnostic anthropologists must judge very severely materialist anthropology, those who say they only believe in what they see, and yet are believing in what they have never seen, in utopias as absurd as the one that we are children of the mouse or that our ancestor the baboon is an elegant gentleman.
We must doubtlessly seek the origin of this human race, of this fifth race to which we belong. We can find its cradle in Kashmir, in the central plateau of Tibet, in the Euxine, etc. I do not wish to say that the complete cradle of the current race had its origin absolutely in those regions I have cited. But in the name of truth I must say that such regions of the Earth constitute a very important cradle of the human species, one of the several cradles. I refer to the current human species, to the people of the fifth race.
There have been five races in the world, corresponding to five different epochs. In the first place, I said that we had the protoplasmic race, then the Hyperboreans, subsequently the Lemurians, later the Atlanteans, and finally we have this race which is ours, the Aryan. We will go on developing through these talks the history of each race, even if in superficial form, but a complete description of the stages on which it has developed.
For now I limit myself to saying that the men of the first race properly speaking existed in the north polar cap, on the Sacred Island. Then that north polar cap, the poles, we should rather say, occupied the equatorial zone. Unquestionably the form of life of that race was very different from the current; materialist anthropology knows nothing about that. Even more, these affirmations in no way would agree with the famous Pangea, and therefore upon making such declarations, the only thing to which we expose ourselves is the mockery of the profane anthropologists.
For they are ignorant in truth of celestial mechanics in total form. They do not know that the process of revolution of the axes of the Earth exists. They think that the Earth has always had the same position with respect to the sun, and it is obvious that for this reason they have invented their Pangea, which is more comfortable for them than studying Astronomy.
The Hyperboreans had their stage on that horseshoe that surrounds the north pole. Obviously England itself and even Ireland belonged to the land of the Hyperboreans; to that land also belonged Alaska, for all those regions form a horseshoe around the north polar cap.
Lemuria existed later in the Pacific Ocean, an enormous and gigantic continent that covered all the area of the Pacific. Atlantis existed later in the ocean that bears its name. So the physiognomy of the terrestrial globe has changed many times. Five aspects or five stages our world has had, on which five races have developed.
Could we aspire that they, the gentlemen of materialist anthropology, would accept all this? Unquestionably no, because they believe they know it all, and of everything, everything, they not only are ignorant, but what is worse: they are ignorant that they are ignorant.
They propose to attack the biblical Genesis, and in their anti-clerical eagerness, have invented all those theories that abound here, there, and yonder.
They do not even wish to understand what the word Eden means. Ed-en, in its etymology, has a Greek root that explains such a word: Voluptuousness. So Eden means Voluptuousness. Eden is sex itself, and all biblical Genesis is a work of Alchemy; it has nothing historical.
That Eden that was once situated in Mesopotamia between the Tigris and the Euphrates became later the school of the astrologers and of the Chaldeans and of the magi. That Eden seems to have relation in truth with the famous Adi-Varsha of the ancient Lemurians and even with the garden of the Hesperides of the Atlantean continent. Eden is sex; but this would never be accepted by the anthropologists of materialism, and much less would they accept the Great Sexual Mysteries of Chaldea, of India, of Babylon, of Mexico, of Persia, of Egypt, etc.
In Lemuria there existed the system of reproduction by Kriyashakti; this is during the Mesozoic, long before the human race had fallen into animal generation. We well know that this race fell in the third part of the Eocene, that is, during the Miocene.
The people, the true Men of the Mesozoic epoch, certainly reproduced by Kriyashakti, the power of will and intelligence. But they were Men, and their system of reproduction would not be accepted today by Intellectual Animals. Because the system of reproduction of true Men is that of Kriyashakti: it is a sacred system that would cause laughter and rejection in the materialist anthropologists; even more, they would feel offended.
Then sex was considered sacred; the Sacred Sperm was never ejaculated. The sperm was considered as venerable matter. Any mature spermatozoon escaped to fertilize a womb, and the human race possessed enormous powers, extrasensory faculties that allowed it to know all the marvels of the Universe and of the Cosmos. For this reason it is said that he lived in a paradisiacal state. But when man fell into animal generation, that is, when he began to ejaculate the entity of the semen, the involution was precipitated. It was truly in the third part of the Eocene that fallen Man came to mix even with the very beasts of Nature. From there was born the Intellectual Animal.
Unquestionably the Intellectual Animal could never accept the system of reproduction by Kriyashakti, precisely because of his animal condition. The system of Kriyashakti is not for the Intellectual Animals; it is for Men — they are two different kingdoms. So in truth it should not surprise us that the Intellectual Animals of materialist anthropology reject the system of reproduction by Kriyashakti, and they even have a reason to reject it, since such a system is not for Intellectual Animals, I repeat, but for Men.
However, since the germs of Man, despite all, are in our endocrine glands, it is obvious that if we work with the sexual system of Kriyashakti, which is that of men, we can in truth regenerate the brain and develop, within the physiological and biological and psychosomatic nature, the real Man, the true Man. But I repeat, this does not please the Intellectual Animals.
We, in Gnosis, have diffused everywhere the Mysteries of Sex. While it is certain that Universal Gnosticism has accepted the system of reproduction by Kriyashakti, it is no less certain that millions of Intellectual Animals have rejected it, and we cannot criticize them, since they are Intellectual Animals, the product of the sexual relation of certain Men who degenerated in the tertiary epoch and who mixed with beasts of Nature.
How could that product of Men and beasts accept a sexual system that does not belong to them? Impossible! So it is worth reflecting a little.
But well, we are going to enter into a more important point that I have noted today, for us to reflect on it. After all: From where did all the living species arise? From where did this Nature arise? Why would we have to accept all the materialist utopias? Why should we accept the dogma of evolution? Why would we have to live within the world of hypotheses?
The moment has arrived to delve a little into all this question. In my past talk I said that the human species had developed in other dimensions; I also said that the materialist gentlemen did not accept those superior dimensions. They want us by force to be placed within the three-dimensional dogma of Euclid; they are like the pig that wants at all hours to be in the pigsty and does not want to see anything that does not resemble a pigsty. But we do not accept those dogmas. In the first place because they have no proof of the hypotheses they have affirmed, that man comes from the ape. Darwin never said that man came from the monkey, never. He did say, yes, that man and the monkey had a common ancestor. But Darwin opened a door, nothing more.
Charles Robert Darwin always felt a discontent with the biblical account of creation, since God appeared as punisher of unbelievers. However, he refused to allow Marx to dedicate the English edition of Capital to him, because he did not wish his name to be linked with attacks on religion. Nevertheless, a vague faith in divinity always remained in him. In states of extreme doubt he was never an atheist, in the sense that he never denied the existence of God, he says in his autobiography. He felt horror for everything that made another suffer. He did not admit the suffering that the master inflicted on the slave or a man on an animal. Said horror was one of the causes of his abandoning religion. Darwin was not a materialist; he investigated and opened a door, that is all.
It is up to us to take advantage of that door and to delve into the mystery. If all that exists until now are hypotheses, as Haeckel says — who truly assures in emphatic form that neither Geology nor Phylogeny will ever be exact sciences.
If the theories of one day disappear the next, if these gentlemen are affirming what they have never seen, despite the fact that they say they only believe in what they see, if they are lying in that form, then we cannot and should not give them credit. We must appeal to the Wisdom of the ancients. So teaches Universal Gnosticism. That the human race developed in other dimensions, this is an impossibility for materialist science, but it is a reality for the gnostics.
If the ancient sages could speak of the Plesiosaur, if they could mention various beasts of the epochs of reptiles and, even more, of the Carboniferous period — without knowing, as I already said, Paleontology nor Paleontography nor having all those jargons in the head — it is because they possessed extraordinary faculties that can be developed and that reside within the human brain.
Could the materialist anthropologists affirm that they already know the human brain totally? It is obvious that no. Even more, I clearly affirm that medical science still does not truly know the human body. They will believe they know it, but they do not know it.
At the end, then, what is the origin of humanity, of the Earth, of the races, of Nature, of all that has been, is, and shall be? This is what must be reflected upon in this chapter.
What do the Nahuas tell us about the Omeyocan? What is the Omeyocan? It is said that in the Omeyocan there is only wind and darkness, so the Nahuas affirm. The Omeyocan is also called, because of the wind and darkness, Yoalli Ehecatl. This should invite us to reflection.
What would the Eastern world tell us about the Omeyocan — no longer only the scholars of our country, Mexico, but the Asians? Once I was speaking here on what matter is in itself. I said that form could be destroyed, but that as substance, matter continued in other dimensions, and at last the substance-earth or seed-earth was deposited in the deep space of the Universe, in the unknown zero dimension. So I affirmed; I also said that that substance was the ILIASTER. The seed that would remain deposited in the depths of space, awaiting the hour of a new cosmic manifestation. Remember that I clarified this a little more by saying that just as when a tree dies its seed remains and in it there exist all the possibilities of a new development for a new tree.
When a world dies, there remains its seed — the homogeneous, insipid, insubstantial, odorless, colorless matter, deposited in the bosom of the Eternal Mother Space. Well, that seed in relation to the One is Two. We must not forget that to be One one must first be Two, and the One feels itself as Two.
That Primordial Chaotic Earth, germ of world deposited in the Mother Space, is the Omeyocan, a true paradise that during the time of inactivity nevertheless vibrates with happiness.
The Omeyocan is also called, because of the wind and darkness, Yoalli Ehecatl.
Why? Because Ehecatl is the God of cosmic movement, the God of wind. Yoalli Ehecatl, there is the great cosmic movement in the Omeyocan; it is there in the Omeyocan where the authentic Happiness of the world reigns. The inexhaustible, profound bliss.
There exist cosmic days and cosmic nights. When the Earth is in a germinal state, when any world is in the state of seed deposited in the bosom of deep space, it sleeps and being Two is One. After a certain period of inactivity, the electric impulse, the electric hurricane, causes all the positive and negative aspects to enter into activity. For this reason it is said that in the Omeyocan there are darkness and wind, cosmic movement. We do not wish to say darkness in the complete sense of the word. This is only an allegorical form of speaking. Let us recall that in the Egyptian Mysteries the priest approached the neophyte and said in his ear: Osiris is a Black God. It is not that Osiris was really Black, for he is the Logos; but it happens that the Light of the Pure Spirit, the Light of the Great Reality, is darkness for the intellect. And if it is said that in the Omeyocan there are only darkness and wind, that is, cosmic movement, it means that there is the Uncreated Light and that there cosmic movement represented by Ehecatl is developed.
In the Omeyocan, the infinite stillness swirls before the manifestation of the Great Solar Logos. The Solar Logos, in the sacred land of Anahuac, was always called Quetzalcoatl. So Quetzalcoatl, as Logos, doubtlessly exists long before all cosmic manifestation. He is the Logos. The Omeyocan is the cosmic navel of the Universe where the infinitely great bursts into the infinitely small, in reciprocal whirlwinds that vibrate and pulsate intensely. There the great and the small meet, the macrocosm and the microcosm.
With the dawn of the Universe, the electric hurricane makes all atoms pulsate in the form of whirlwinds within the Omeyocan, within the navel of the Universe, within the Cosmic Womb that is the Two. In the Omeyocan, the Tloque Nahuaque is the nocturnal tempest of all possibilities. Why? Because when the electric movement, the electric hurricane, the electric whirlwind, makes all those atoms turn within the chaotic matter, all the possibilities of Universal Life persist. So the best authors of Cosmogenesis have always written. Naturally, we are saying something that materialist science would never accept in any way.
In the Omeyocan, the Lord of the Night, the black Tezcatlipoca, refuses, bursts into Light, and the Universe is born — which Quetzalcoatl, the Solar Logos, fertilizes, manages. Let us recall that this Tezcatlipoca represents in his feminine aspect the Moon and God-Mother. The Omeyocan is precisely that, God-Mother; it is precisely the womb of the World. For this reason it is said that Tezcatlipoca bursts into Light — yes, the Mother swells like a lotus flower, and at last this Universe is born, which in fact the Logos fertilizes. In Nahuatl it is said that Quetzalcoatl then directs and manages that Universe that arises into existence.
The Logos, Perfect Multiple Unity, is radical; but he unfolds himself into the forty-nine fires to work with this nascent Universe. Unquestionably it is precisely the Logos Quetzalcoatl who directs this Universe; it is, better said, the Cosmic Consciousness governing, directing what is, has been, and shall be…
I am perfectly sure that materialist anthropology would not accept this conception of Quetzalcoatl. I am perfectly sure that materialist anthropology rejects the Logos, that it is against the Mexican tradition, that it wants nothing to do with the wisdom of Mexico. Materialist anthropology, in rejecting Quetzalcoatl as true ruler of the Universe, is in fact against Mexico itself.
Thus, my dear friends, it is worth that we reflect a little. Neither is it fitting that we form of our lord Quetzalcoatl an anthropomorphic conception, no. I repeat, Quetzalcoatl is a perfect Multiple Unity, he is the Demiurge of the Greeks, the Platonic Logos, the Mighty Principle of Nature making each atom vibrate, making each Sun tremble; he is the created Fire of the first instant.
The gentlemen of anthropological materialism could never assure me that they know fire. I am sure they do not know it, nor much less electricity. We are interested in the Fire of fire and the profound knowledge of electricity. They use fire and consider it as an element of combustion, but they are mistaken. In truth, if we strike a match, we will see that fire arises. They would say: product of combustion! No, sir; rather combustion is a product of fire, because the hand that strikes the match has fire to move, and fire is latent within the match itself. It is enough only to eliminate that case of phosphorus chemicals by striking, for fire to arise. Fire exists before the match; it is something unknown to Chemistry. Fire in itself is the Logos, the Fundamental Intelligent Principle of Nature.
Let it be on record that we are not defending an anthropomorphic God that would so bother the gentlemen of materialist anthropology, no. We are only making great emphasis to say that Nature has Intelligent Principles and that all that sum of Intelligent Principles of Nature is Quetzalcoatl, the Demiurge of the Greeks, the Logos of the Platonists, Perfect Multiple Unity latent in every atom, in every corpuscle that comes to life, in every creature that exists under the sun.
There is no doubt, my dear friends, that monotheism caused great damage to humanity, because, as a consequence of it, materialism, atheism, was provoked. I also say that polytheism carried to abuse, to the extreme, caused damage to humanity, because then from it arose monotheism, and from monotheism, in turn, arose materialist atheism. See how polytheism, having degenerated, gave origin to anthropomorphic monotheism, and finally, examine carefully the sequence: anthropomorphic monotheism originated in turn, due to the abuses of the various religious clergies, materialist atheism.
If we accept Intelligent Principles in Nature and in the Cosmos as foundation of all this machinery of relativity, we are not unaware that, at bottom, variety is Unity.
I think that, in an immediate future, humanity will have to return to polytheism, but in a transcendental monastic form. Humanity must be balanced, from the spiritual point of view, between monotheism and polytheism. Only thus will a renewal of principles and a complete revolution of Consciousness truly be able to be initiated.
Glossary of the Third Lecture
ADI-VARSHA — The first land, the first country in which the first races resided.
ANAHUAC — Mexican word meaning by or near the water, by which the natives of the country designated the coast of Mexico. Some authors have wished to apply the word water to the lagoons in the midst of which Mexico is built and affirm that Anahuac designates the great Mexican plateau, and thus it has been customary to call the extensive highland where the capital is found.
KASHMIR — Ancient state of India, today divided between the Indian Republic State of Jammu and Kashmir, and Pakistan.
CARBONIFEROUS — Said of everything relative to one of the periods through which the earth has passed, during which the great masses of stone coal that exist in the terrestrial crust were formed. This period is the fourth and last of the primary or Paleozoic era. It begins after the Devonian period and precedes the secondary or Mesozoic era.
COSMOGENESIS — Origin or formation of the universe.
COSMIC DAY — (Mahamvantara or Maha Kalpa). Period of cosmic manifestation during which all that exists comes to life.
HESPERIDES — Daughters of Atlas. They were three sisters who possessed a garden whose trees produced golden apples. These precious fruits had been placed under the watch of a hundred-headed dragon. Hercules journeyed to the Garden, killed the dragon, and took possession of the golden apples, thus accomplishing the eleventh of his labors.
ILIASTER — Homogeneous, substantial, very pure matter that crystallizes in the sensible forms we all know.
SACRED ISLAND — (Thule). Place where the first human race developed. In that epoch, more than three hundred million years ago, it was located on the equatorial line; later, with the revolution of the axes of the earth, said island remained in what is today the north pole. Don Mario Roso de Luna says that this island still exists, but is found in Jinas state.
KRIYASHAKTI — (Skt.) The power of thought; one of the seven forces of nature. The creative potency of the siddhis (powers) of the perfect Yogis. In the book of Dzyan, second part, stanza VII, No. 21, one reads: “The Third Race came to be the vehicle of the Lords of Wisdom. They created sons of Will and Yoga; by Kriyashakti they created them…” Kriyashakti is that mysterious and divine power latent in the will of every man, and which, if not called to life, awakened, and developed by the practice of yoga, remains inert in 999,998 of every million men, for which reason it comes to be atrophied. “It is that mysterious power of thought which, by virtue of its own inherent energy, allows it to produce external phenomenal results, perceptible.” The ancients held that any idea would manifest itself externally if one’s attention (and will) is profoundly concentrated on it. Likewise, an intense volition will be followed by the desired result. By means of this power and that of Ichchhashakti (power of will) the yogi generally works his prodigies. (Secret Doctrine, I, 313 and II, 182).
LACERTIANS — Family of the suborder fissilingues, order of saurians, class of reptiles. They inhabit Europe, Asia, Africa, and America; they prefer very sunny places and feed almost exclusively on insects and worms.
LEVIATHAN — Marine monster, emblem of evil, summary of all vices and sins.
NAHUAS or NAHUATLACAS — Group of tribes of America. It was composed principally of the Aztecs (whose name is frequently made synonymous with that of Nahuas), founders of the Mexican empire, of the Niquiros of Nicaragua, of the Pipiles, also of Central America, some Chichimeca tribes, if not all.
COSMIC NIGHT — (Pralaya). Dissolution of the universe. Upon reaching this, the ocean of the universal spirit of life is submerged in absolute abstract space.
OPHIDIANS — Order of vertebrates of the class of reptiles.
OMEYOCAN — The navel of the world.
PALEONTOGRAPHY — Treatise of the organic beings that existed in more or less remote epochs; in this can be distinguished two branches: that which refers to animal remains, or paleozoology, and that which refers to vegetables, or paleontology.
PLESIOSAURIDAE — Family of vertebrates of the class of reptiles, order of Sauropterygians, characterized by having limbs in the form of fins.
PTERODACTYL — Genus of vertebrates of the class of reptiles, order of Plesiosaurs, family of pterodactylids. The number of species of pterodactyls known until now and which come from the medium secondary deposits corresponding to the upper Jurassic exceeds twenty, the German lithographic limestones being those which have provided the greatest quantity of forms.
QUETZALCOATL — Divinity of the ancient Mexicans, adored by the Toltecs; literally means “plumed serpent.”
TEZCATLIPOCA — God adored by the Mexicans in the pre-Columbian epoch. In the times of the conquest he was the true king of the Mexican Olympus.
ZOHAR — Principal work of the Kabbalah, written in Aramaic and in the form of commentary on the Pentateuch. It has a great richness of thoughts and explanations of the Bible of Neoplatonic and Gnostic order. The compiler of the Zohar was Moses Shem Tov, of León (Spain). The Zohar comprises three parts: Zohar properly speaking; Raya Mehemna (The Faithful Shepherd); Midrash ha-Ne’elam (The Secret Midrash).
Certainly, and in the name of truth, merely materialist Anthropology knows nothing about the origin of man.
Chapter Four: FOURTH LECTURE
First of all it is well to know that the anthropologists speak of three very important epochs: first, the Paleozoic period; second, the Mesozoic period; and third, the Cenozoic period. They affirm in emphatic form that during the Paleozoic period there existed upon the waters of life the first unicellular beings; the microorganisms also existed; the molluscoids, the mollusks, the fishes, and the first reptiles. This the materialist anthropologists affirm with an incredible certainty, as if they had been present in archaic epochs, as if they had truly been able to see, smell, palpate, and even hear all that happened in those ages.
However, as I have said in previous lectures, and now I repeat it, the anthropologists of materialism always assert that they believe only in what they see, that they would never accept anything they have not seen with their eyes or palpated with their hands. Although I must reiterate it many times, I should say that such an affirmation turns out completely false, lying. So, my dear brothers, they are believing in what they have never seen, in what they have never palpated; they are affirming in incredible form false suppositions.
When did they see that primary epoch? When were they present in the Paleozoic period? Did they perhaps live in the Mesozoic period? Did they perhaps exist in the Cenozoic period? They are affirming mere suppositions of which they have no proof, affirming what they have never seen, and yet they believe themselves eminently practical. Always over and over they are saying that they believe only in what they see, and they have never seen the Paleozoic period. What do they know of that period, of the forms of life that existed in that first archaic age of our world? They also speak of the Mesozoic period, that of the great antediluvian reptiles. We do not deny in exact form that reptiles ever existed in the world. It is clear that the epoch of reptiles existed; it was a fact. Our Earth was populated by enormous reptiles, and this is undeniable. Let us recall the Brontosaurus, the Plesiosaurus, the Pterodactyl, etc.
All those saurians were really gigantic, enormous monsters that were even one and two city blocks in size. They existed, but have the gentlemen of materialist anthropology proof of having seen all the reptiles of the Mesozoic period?
How did they reproduce, how did they live? Were they witnesses to that?
Then comes the period known as Cenozoic. It is said that many reptiles evolved toward the state of mammals. It is asserted in emphatic form that from the primates came the hominids, ancestors of the Intellectual Animal mistakenly called man. There is no doubt, they say, that from the primates were born the hominids that originated man, and on the other hand the branch of the great gorillas, chimpanzees, etc. In speaking thus, they practically agree with Mr. Darwin.
We well know that Darwin in no way says that man descends from the monkey; he only clarifies that man and monkey have a common ancestor. The anthropologists of materialism say that that common ancestor are the primates, that from the primates were born the first hominids and also the great simians of the ancient epoch, of the period we could call Cenozoic. That is how they arrange their theories so that in some way they coincide with the theories of Darwin.
But did those primates really exist? Did the anthropologists of materialism ever see the first hominids? Do they have proof, could they perhaps swear that from those hominids were born, on the one hand, the giant simians and on the other man? Or, better correcting what is said, could they perhaps affirm in emphatic form that from the primates the hominids were born, who are the ancestors of man, according to them? Would they dare say that also from those primates were born all the species of gorillas and gigantic chimpanzees that populate and populated the face of the Earth in archaic epochs? What do the gentlemen of materialism know of that? On the other hand, Haeckel, as always, with his theories, assigns to the current humanoid some seventeen or eighteen genealogies; these come from the marsupials and the mammals. And Haeckel speaks of this with as much certainty as if he had seen it. However, these gentlemen of materialism are the ones who say they believe only in what they see. They are saying what they have not seen, and they believe — they are believing — in phantasmagoric utopias of the mind that have no demonstration whatsoever.
The mammals and marsupials and all those seventeen or eighteen genealogies of Haeckel turn out rather phantasmagoric. Of course, among them the anthropologists of materialism do not discard the famous lemurids with placenta. Where is the placenta of the lemurids?
You well know that in current times it is also clearly affirmed that we come from the lemurids, and there are even certain pseudo-wise of our times who are now affirming that our ancestor is the mouse.
Frankly the materialist scientists of this epoch have dedicated themselves to braying like donkeys. That so-trumpeted materialist culture of the twentieth century is shameful. As soon as we descend from the lemurids we descend from brother mouse.
We well know from the ancient traditions that the human race was formed by giants of Atlantis, giants of Lemuria, giants of the Hyperborean epoch, and giants of the Polar epoch.
But to make assertions like those — that we also come from the mouse — there has to be excessive ignorance, because not even the mouse itself was as small in Atlantis as it is now.
So to say that the human being was tiny and has been growing, and that he is of short stature because he is a son of the mouse, is at bottom frightfully ridiculous.
See how those cynics of materialism move. As soon as they are saying that we come from the primates, they are affirming something else. When they tire of brother mouse, then they appeal to the baboon, because the poor little animal has red buttocks. See how ignorant these pseudo-anthropologists are!
Those are the ones who are degenerating humanity, those who are taking from humanity the Eternal Principles, the Eternal Values of the Spirit. Those are the ones who have precipitated humanity along the path of involution and degeneration. We well know that when from humanity the Eternal Values, the Values of the Spirit, are taken away, it degenerates frightfully. Those are the ones who send their followers, the rogues of materialism, to teach the people of the countryside all those follies. Those are the ones who have converted themselves into the instructors of the poor people who live in villages, in hamlets; those are truly the ones who are precipitating degeneration, because they are taking from humanity the Eternal Values.
We could consider them as corruptors of minors, because they corrupt the poor simple people of the countryside with their follies, damaging the minds of the poor people. Those are the ones who form educational plans within which all that has the flavor of spirituality is excluded. But they have no serious bases to pronounce against the spiritual teachings of humanity.
To assert as soon that we come from the baboon as from the mouse, as from the first primates of the Cenozoic epoch, is quite ridiculous.
Both in the North and the South, in various places of the Earth and the world, these materialist gentlemen laugh at the father of Manu, from whom all the human race came, as they laugh at the Dhyan-Chohan; he seems to them a utopian personage. And yet they have no inconvenience in believing in the Sosura of Mr. Haeckel, a kind of stupid pithecoid with the capacity to speak — a thousand times more phantasmagoric and more utopian than the assertion that we come from the Manu or from the Dhyan-Chohan. Humanity still believes in the Dhyan-Chohan, even though it bothers these gentlemen of materialism. Millions of persons still accept the father of the Manu; in Asia they believe in him, in the Man we might say Spirit, in the Prototype Man, placed on a much superior level of the Being.
If we were to make retrospective investigations with procedures very different from those of Carbon-14, or of Potassium-Argon, we would discover that in reality, the prototypes of this humanity come from the superior dimensions of Nature and the Cosmos. But to speak thus to the gentlemen of materialist anthropology is something more than impossible, because they feel as uncomfortable as the Chinese when they listen to a Western concert.
So the hour has come to judiciously analyze what is the materialist culture that is serving as the basis for the peoples, for the nations. We must seek the origin of so much corruption and so much perversity. It is not possible for us to continue permitting humanity to be a victim of ignorance; that is one hundred percent absurd. Those seventeen or eighteen genealogies of Mr. Haeckel and his followers are good enough for a Molière and his caricatures.
To say that those lemurids, small little animals with very lively eyes, had a placenta and could be counted among our ancestors, is absurd, because we well know that the lemurids never had a placenta. That is an unforgivable zoological error. Truly Haeckel has done great harm to humanity; for that reason at some time we said: “May his memories be forgotten and may his name never be put in the streets,” parodying Job the prophet.
Moreover, in the epoch of Haeckel Embryogenesis was not yet known. How does Haeckel dare, then, to speak of lemurids with placenta? Absurd one hundred percent.
When one analyzes these things, one cannot help but feel disgust for that school of materialism that is corrupting humanity, taking from it its Eternal Values, precipitating it along the path of involution.
What is truly the ancestor of the man of the epoch or the Cenozoic period? And which are his descendants? Which are the ancestors of Paleolithic man, and which his descendants? Which are the ancestors of Neolithic man, and which his descendants? Did Mr. Darwin ever know them? Did Haeckel or Mr. Huxley know them? On what does materialist anthropology base itself to speak with so much authority on Homo sapiens? To what epoch did Homo sapiens belong, the primordial man?
In vain will Mr. Huxley attempt to seek among the subterranean layers of the quaternary epoch the fossil remains of the primordial Man. In truth he will never find them. And it is that man is more ancient than the swine of materialism suppose. The man of the Cenozoic period existed, as did the man of the Mesozoic period and the man of the Paleozoic period.
But this will never, ever be accepted by materialism. They want man to come strictly from the quaternary epoch; in no way do they accept that he existed during the Cenozoic period. So the hour has come of the great reflections, of the great analyses. What do they know of the form in which life went on being processed during the primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary epochs? Endow human beings each with his Monad, and you will see that all that little theater of Haeckel, of Mr. Darwin, of Huxley, of Marx and their followers, will fall truly to dust, because materialist anthropology is a wall without foundations; a slight push is enough to convert it into fine sediment.
In my past lecture I spoke here on the navel of the Universe. That the famous materialist anthropologists really ought to study. That our Earth has a navel? Why not? If we when we are born, when we come into the world, also have our navel — and as is the Macrocosm, so also the Microcosm; as is above, so is below.
We spoke then in our past lecture on the Omeyocan; something we said, yes.
What is the Omeyocan? The navel of the Universe, yes. One day the earth Moon existed; it had seas, it had mountains full of life, of vegetation; it also had its Paleozoic, Mesozoic, Cenozoic periods. But worlds, like all that is, has been, and shall be, are born, grow, age, and die. The merely physical matter of the Moon died. Today it is a cadaver, as has been demonstrated by the astronauts who have descended on the lunar soil. But the life in itself, the living substance of matter, did not die; it continued processing itself in a fourth coordinate, in a fourth vertical, along with the seeds of all the existent.
That substance-matter later processed itself in a fifth coordinate, and then in a sixth, subsequently in a seventh. And when it fell into the seventh, it submerged into the bosom of Absolute Abstract Space. That homogeneous substance, that Mulaprakriti of the Orientals, that Primigenial or primordial Earth, continues to exist. It was a seed that could not be lost, and now it was deposited in deep space; in that seed life continued latent. That seed, I have said and now I repeat today, is the ILIASTER of the wise.
Such seed slept seven eternities amid the Chaos, that is, in deep Space, to be clearer. But much later, the electric whirlwind, the electric hurricane, the darkness and the wind, as the people of Anahuac say, inhabited that primigenial world, that land called Iliaster. And it was then that the Two functioned with its opposites positive and negative, masculine and feminine. Thus, from the Iliaster the Chaos arose; for this reason it is spoken that in the Omeyocan, the hurricane, the tempests, the darkness prevail. It is spoken there clearly of Ehecatl. Ehecatl is the god of wind, of hurricanes, of electric movement. The Macrocosm poured into the Microcosm, all in ceaseless activity. Thus the Chaos truly existed in the Omeyocan; it was the same Omeyocan, a virginal, very pure, ineffable land that materialist anthropology would never accept. There were all the possibilities until the universal Fire fertilized that Chaos.
And when it fertilized it, the Limbus appeared. That extraordinary Limbus gave origin to all that is, has been, and shall be. From then, from the navel of the Universe, there were successive unfoldings through various dimensions, and merely germinal man passed to the protoplasm. And evolving and involving life, through various dimensions, came finally to crystallize on the protoplasmic earth.
A first manifestation existed in the world of Mind, in the region of the Cosmic Mind or Universal Intelligence. A second manifestation of all that is, has been, and shall be in a second period. And then as a result a third manifestation appeared in an ulterior dimension. So life unfolded, evolved and involved in three extraordinary dimensions before appearing in this physical world.
Life existed first in the mineral state, but a class of minerals that today the materialist anthropologists nor the geologists would accept; much later it unfolded in vegetable state and subsequently in animal state. But those states — mineral, vegetable, and animal — are currently unknown. They constitute something like the archetype of these kingdoms — mineral, vegetable, and animal — currently existing.
It is obvious that before life appeared on our protoplasmic world, there had arisen from among the existing animal species a creature very similar to any mammal or any simian, but in truth very different from the simians. When that original or primigenial Man managed to crystallize in dense form, he passed through a transformation of his morphology and appeared thus upon the north polar cap, which was formerly situated in the equatorial zone.
In my next talk I will speak on the movement of the continents. And then we are going to tell the world what Pangea really is.
Today we will only limit ourselves to saying that life developed in other dimensions before crystallizing in the physical world. Today I also wish to emphasize that before the intellectual animal mistakenly called man really existed, the real man existed in the first, second, and third race.
The intellectual animal, that one which arose in the quaternary epoch — that is not Man but the intellectual animal, I repeat. On the past occasion I said that the real Men lived splendidly in Lemuria, but that some degenerated at the end and that they mixed with beasts, and that from that mixture came to result the current humanity, the intellectual animal.
So the hour has come to understand those so delicate questions. Man is prior to the quaternary period, as well as the tertiary, secondary, or primary. Proof of this is that, despite the fact that all the living species of archaic times disappeared, that intellectual animal called man continues to exist.
If he is capable of subsisting despite so many storms, despite the revolution of the axes of the Earth, despite the events of Pangea — and if the animals, reptiles, and others of the Mesozoic periods, etc., were not capable of subsisting — this is demonstrating to us that man is prior to all these periods marked and indicated by the materialist anthropologists.
I want you to reflect profoundly on all these questions. Endow the poor intellectual animal with his Monad, which they attempt to take from him, and all that little theater of Mr. Darwin and of the Haeckels and of the Huxleys will fall truly to dust. The hour has come to truly unmask materialist anthropology. The moment has come to return to humanity the eternal values.
Those are the ones who are degenerating humanity, those who are taking from humanity the Eternal Principles, the Eternal Values of the Spirit.
Chapter Five: FIFTH LECTURE
There are facts, cosmic and geological events, that are well worth studying in these treatises on Anthropology. There is no doubt that gnostic scientific anthropology draws back all the veils related to the origin of man and the Universe.
Obviously this mechanism of nature turns out prodigious, but we would never accept the possibility of a mathematics without mathematicians, or of a mechanics without mechanics.
I do not wish to defend an anthropomorphic God, in the style of the Judaic Jehovah, with that doctrine of “eye for eye and tooth for tooth.” We know that that type of dogmatism brings as a consequence or corollary, and by opposition, the atheist and materialist type of reaction.
It is necessary to understand that any abuse is harmful to humanity. In ancient times cult was rendered to the gods, that is, to the Intelligent Principles of Nature and of the cosmos, to the Demiurge Architect of the Universe, who is neither a human nor a divine subject; rather, He is the Perfect Multiple Unity, the Platonic Logos.
Unfortunately in the august Rome of the Caesars and even in the Greece of yesteryear, there was a process of religious degeneration. When the cult of the Gods was abused, monotheism arose by reaction, with its anthropomorphic God. Much later, that monotheism with its anthropomorphic God produced, by reaction, current materialism.
So the abuse of polytheism brings consequently the monotheistic anthropomorphism, the belief in the biblical anthropomorphic God. In turn, the abuse of monotheism originates materialist atheism. Those are the religious phases through which peoples pass.
Frankly, in the name of truth, I consider that the moment has arrived to eliminate that monotheistic anthropomorphism that has originated such bad consequences. Materialist atheism would not exist today if the religious clergies had not abused such cult. This cult arose, then, by reaction. Unfortunately materialist atheism was born by reaction against monotheistic anthropomorphism, and in turn, the belief in an anthropomorphic God, as a result of polytheistic abuse; when the cults of the Gods of the Universe degenerated, then by simple reaction monotheism arose.
We need to recognize the Intelligent Principles of Nature and of the Cosmos. But I repeat, we are not defending an anthropomorphic God. To recognize Intelligent Principles, it seems to me, withstands any scientific analysis.
Let us observe, for example, an anthill. There we see the Intelligent Principles in full activity, how those ants work, how they build their palaces, how they govern themselves, etc. The same happens with a beehive; their order is astonishing.
Endow each of the ants, or each of the bees, with a Pythagorean Monad or a Hindustani Jiva, and it is logical that in fact the whole anthill, the whole hive, takes on meaning, because all creatures live from a Monadic Principle. The materialism of Haeckel, of Darwin, and of Huxley would be completely destroyed before this.
We are not rendering cult to any anthropomorphic God; we only want intelligence to be recognized in Nature. It does not seem absurd to us that Nature be provided with Intelligence. The existing order in the construction of the molecule and the atom demonstrates to us with entire meridian clarity the Intelligent Principles.
We are in the precise epoch to revise principles. If we do not agree with materialism, it is because it does not withstand a thorough analysis; it is pure rubbish, that is obvious. That creation of man through mechanical processes is more incongruous than the Adam arisen instantaneously from the slime of the earth. One is as absurd as the other.
Let us recognize that there is Intelligence in all this mechanism of Nature, in the movement of atoms around their gravitational center, in the movement of worlds around their suns.
It is true and certain that our Sun, this one that illuminates us and gives us life, is one of the suns of that great constellation that turns around Alcyone, which has been called from ancient times the Pleiades.
That there exist seven suns turning around Alcyone, that is not strange. We live in a corner of the Pleiades, on a small planet that turns around the Sun, populated by intellectual animals. This very tiny world is called Earth.
In general, each of the Suns of the Pleiades, each of those seven suns gives life to the corresponding worlds that turn around it. It is true, and we do not deny it, that our planet Earth is a small world that turns around the Seventh Sun of the Pleiades. It is no less true that the Pleiades need an Intelligent Directing Principle. Naturally, the swine of materialism believe only in tallow and lard; they are set on reducing the poor three-centered or three-brained biped to a simple two-dimensional production and consumption machine.
The materialists want to take from humanity the Intelligent Principles; they want by force to strip the whole human mentality of its eternal values, the values of the Being. We perfectly understand that, in taking from humanity the values of the Being, it degenerates frightfully. That is what is happening at these moments of world crisis and bankruptcy of all principles. The know-it-alls of materialist anthropology are obstinate in precipitating the poor people of the twentieth century along the path of the most frank perdition.
The Pleiades need a Directing Principle or Directing Principles, so as not to fall this time into the anthropomorphism that has been so fatal, since it has produced materialist atheism. The Directing Principle is plural, but it has a representation that in no way the swine of materialism would accept. I wish to refer to the Astral Equatorial Sun of the Pleiades, invisible to the lenses of telescopes but visible to those who have developed the most extraordinary type of vision — that of the Prajnaparamita intuition in its most elevated degree. That term, rather difficult because it is Sanskrit, is unacceptable to atheist anthropology but real in its transcendence for true Men.
The Equatorial Sun of the Pleiades intelligently coordinates all the cosmic, human, mineral, vegetable, and animal labors and activities, and even this group of celestial bodies known as the Pleiades. The Equatorial Sun is in reality the sum of Intelligent Principles, abhorrent to the followers of materialism. But the world is the world and shall always be… Materialism always produces degeneration of the brain and the mind, involution of human values, total decadence, incapacity for the development of the Objective Reason of the Being.
The Pleiades, with their Sun, constitute a beautiful panorama of the Universe. The Sun of the Pleiades is not a visible sun; it is an astral sun located in the fifth coordinate. If we did not accept more than three coordinates, if we were bottled up in the three-dimensional geometry of Euclid, we would be like the materialist atheists, enemies of the Eternal, who believe only, like donkeys, in the pasture they see.
That the Intelligent Principles of that astral Sun maintain the Pleiades in perfect harmony, that is something we do not ignore. We have methods and procedures for the development of certain transcendental faculties of the Being, which allow us to see beyond the simple telescopes and to delve beyond the microscope.
We must take into account not simply the Pleiades, but the entire galaxy in which we exist, the great Milky Way, with its hundred thousand suns, millions of worlds, moons, and loose stones. An extraordinary galaxy that turns around the Sun Sirius. Unquestionably this Sun is gigantic. Near Sirius there is a Moon five thousand times denser than lead. That Moon turns around Sirius.
From Sirius come extraordinary radiations to cosmic matter. We must not deny that from that Moon, five thousand times denser than lead, also come terrible infrahuman radiations. It could be said that the radiations of Sirius affect all the Supra-heavens of anything, and that the shadowy infra-radiations of the satellite surrounding it affect the infra-hells, which produce chaotic states in the mentality of human creatures, engender materialist atheism, etc.
But the galaxy itself, with all that extraordinary order, with its spiraloid form turning around the Sun Sirius, doubtlessly needs Intelligent Principles to govern it. The Polar Sun comes to mind at these moments. Obviously in this are found the Intelligent Principles that wisely control, govern, and coordinate this galaxy in which we live, move, and have our Being. It is a marvelous Spiritual Sun that completely directs the Milky Way.
Obviously this galaxy, without Intelligent Principles, even if it gravitated all around Sirius, even if it were intelligently governed, would lack something more — it would lack the Spiritual Sun, the Polar Sun, which is the very foundation of all those Intelligent Principles.
But this question does not end there; we must go further. Already Einstein said: “The infinite tends to a limit.” He also asserted that the infinite was curved. There is no doubt that many infinites exist. Beyond this infinite there is another infinite. And much further on, between infinite and infinite, there exist empty spaces. There is no limit to the many infinites. Our infinite, the infinite of Einstein, has around a hundred thousand galaxies, with an average of a hundred thousand suns each, with their corresponding millions of worlds. This is what can be perceived with telescopes. But truly, this infinite in which we live needs Sovereign Intelligent Principles to coordinate it, to avoid as much as possible collisions and failures of every kind.
Fortunately the Central Sun, the Sacred Absolute Sun, exists. In this Sacred Absolute Sun are the Directing Intelligences of all this infinite. In Him, I repeat, we live, move, and have our Being.
Intelligence governs the whole Cosmos, in the infinitely small and in the infinitely great. In the Macrocosm and in the Microcosm, in a system of worlds, in a beehive and in an anthill. The Cosmic Intelligence resides precisely in each particle of this Great Creation.
We live here, as we already said, on a small planet of the infinite Universe, on a tiny world that turns around the Seventh Sun of the Pleiades, whose mechanism is governed by Intelligent Principles. Unquestionably, the geologists who have studied so much do not know the living mechanism of this planet Earth.
It has always been believed that the continents on which we exist are fixed, firm, and immovable, but such a concept turns out mistaken. The gnostic scientists well know that the Earth rather resembles in its constitution an egg than a firm mass. If we observe a bird’s egg, we will see that it has a yolk that is movable and that is sustained on a white. The same happens with the Earth: the continents are like the yolk sustaining itself on a clear, pasty, fluidic, and gelatinous substance. That yolk is not still; it moves and turns upon an axis periodically.
One day all America and Europe were together, and now they are separated. That is what the materialist anthropologists say about Pangea. They are ignorant of the rhythms, the periodic movements, and the true geological history.
There are more than sufficient proofs to demonstrate the movement of the continental masses. One day Atlantis existed in the ocean that bears its name, a continent that has been put in doubt by the followers of materialism. Atlantis has been duly demonstrated in conclusive form by the true sages who from time to time have appeared on Earth.
That that continent should have sunk “like cream in milk” turns out absurd; it is a foolish assertion of the illustrious ignorant. If Atlantis sank, it was as a consequence of the revolution of the axes of the Earth; but this the adepts of materialism do not know.
The catastrophe of Atlantis left our continents in bad shape. Observe the Americas and you will see that on the Pacific side they incline as if wanting to sink in the ocean, while the eastern side rises. It is something similar to what happens to a ship: it never sinks vertically, but always to the side.
The very Andes mountain range tilts toward the Pacific Ocean. Let us look at Europe: there is no doubt that toward the Mediterranean it wants to sink, it is more submerged toward the depth. The same happens with Germany and Russia. The Asian continent is inclined as if wanting to sink toward the Indian Sea. The continents were damaged by the great catastrophe of Atlantis, which unbalanced the geological formation of our world.
We have spoken much of suns and of catastrophes, and of all their consequences. The Suns of Anahuac invite us to reflection, since they are most interesting. They are of fire, of air, of water, and of earth. They mark terrible cosmic catastrophes. It is said that the children of the First Sun, the protoplasmic ones, perished devoured by tigers. Of course, the Tigers of Wisdom!
It is said that the children of the Second Sun, the Hyperboreans, perished swept by strong hurricanes. It refers to the humanity that lived on the horseshoe that is around the North Pole. It is affirmed that the children of the Third Sun, the Lemurians, perished by sun of fire-rain and great earthquakes.
The children of the Fourth Sun, the Atlanteans, perished by the waters. The children of the Fifth Sun, the Aryans, the people of this epoch, will perish by fire and earthquakes. So shall it be and shall be fulfilled in a little time. The children of the Sixth Sun, the KORADHI, in the future Earth of tomorrow, will also die.
After speaking to you of the Suns of Anahuac, we shall pass to a minor cycle. Naturally there is always a primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary age. We shall not relate these ages to the five races that have existed. This time we shall base them on something different — precisely on the movements that the terrestrial yolk undergoes, that geological movement that is processed periodically upon its own axis, in the movement of continents on that pasty and gelatinous substance.
From that point we can speak of primary, secondary, tertiary, and quaternary ages, of an Eocene, of a primary period unknown to people, of the Oligocene, Miocene, and Pliocene, with this kind of catastrophes that also exist, with terrible glaciations, we do not deny. Atlantis marks the end of the tertiary era — at the end of Atlantis, I clarify, the tertiary era was most beautiful for its Edens and delightful for its great paradises.
Various glaciations have occurred. There is no doubt that we are approaching another glaciation. There are catastrophes produced by the revolution of the axes of the Earth, by the verticalization of the poles of the world. There are also catastrophes that are produced by the movement of the continents. Then earthquakes arise and glaciations come.
Five glaciations are spoken of, which were processed in accordance with the movements of the continents, but we must know that glaciations have occurred produced by the verticalization of the poles of the Earth.
Multiple are the catastrophes and glaciations, that is obvious. If we were to say that man did not exist in the epochs of the Miocene, Pliocene, and Eocene, we would be asserting something false. It is curious that as the archaic species of animals were extinguished, man continued to exist. I am speaking of men in the merely conventional sense, since we already know that the intellectual animal is not the true Man, but it is obvious that in some way we have to speak.
That terrible changes have existed? Yes, there were. Let us think of that human race that arose from the Eocene with its tropical climate; of that race that developed and unfolded during the Oligocene with its average temperature, and finally, of that race that lived in the Miocene with cold, with low temperatures that prolonged themselves to the last glaciation. The interesting thing is that despite so many glaciations and catastrophes, human beings continue to exist.
Paleolithic man still exists. Incredible, but true. All the species of archaic animals disappeared, the enormous reptiles of the Mesozoic, and yet human beings continue to exist. How is this possible? How is it that all the archaic creatures have died and human beings still live?
The primary, secondary, and tertiary epochs of our world have passed and we still see human beings walking down the street. This gives us more than sufficient authority to tell Darwin, Huxley, and Haeckel — who did so much harm to humanity with their materialist theories — that the human being existed long before the Paleolithic epoch.
In the third lecture I commented something about the navel of the Universe, on the Omeyocan, referring to the germ from which this planet was born. It is clear that Omeyocan unfolded in several dimensions before the Earth could exist physically. I wish to say that in the Omeyocan, in the navel of the World, the whole planet was gestated, which passed through various periods of activity in diverse dimensions before crystallizing in its current physical form.
The human being as seed unfolded from the Omeyocan, and went on crystallizing little by little through diverse dimensions until taking the physical form of the polar epoch.
Here we are touching matters that bother the materialists. They say they believe only in what they see, and yet they believe in all their utopias. They go searching for the Primordial Man among the subterranean layers of the quaternary epoch. They invent more theories every day, in which they believe without having seen them. They go telling lies; they are believing in what they do not see; they are falsifiers.
We can verify what we say; we have systems of investigation through the technique of Meditation, by means of which we can develop certain faculties, such as the type of Prajnaparamita Intuition, which allows us to study the Akashic Records of Nature. In those records is all the history of the Earth and of its races. If the swine of materialism leave their fanatical position and resolve to enter into the disciplines of Gnosis, they will be able to develop certain faculties through which the history of the earth and of its races will become accessible to them.
The hour has come for each one of us to reflect upon himself and upon the Universe. Man exists upon the Earth much beyond the primary epoch, much beyond the Paleolithic epoch. We are given the right to affirm the above by the concrete fact that we continue to exist despite the fact that the animals of bygone times have disappeared for the most part. If that is so, we have the right to say that we are as ancient as the Earth, as Nature. Facts are facts, and before facts we must yield.
If we have not perished, if we have not disappeared from the stage of the world through so many catastrophes, despite the fact that all the creatures of the Mesozoic times perished, this gives us authority to say that we are very special beings, that we existed on Earth before the creatures of the Pliocene or of the Mesozoic times had appeared upon the face of the Earth. That right is given to us by the fact of existing, by the concrete fact that Eternities have passed and we continue to live.
The contemporary creatures died, and yet we are alive. All perished, but we continue to exist. Therefore, we have grounds to laugh in the noses of Huxley, Darwin, and Haeckel, personages who were lethal for humanity.
The various stages on which this humanity has unfolded merit being studied and being taken into account. How marvelous and wise the Nahua Suns are. They not only contemplate the race that was devoured by the Tigers of Wisdom, but also the Hyperboreans who were swept by strong hurricanes; the Lemurians, who perished by the sun of rain and fire and great earthquakes; and the Atlanteans, who perished by the waters.
Those Nahua Suns go very far; they contemplate the movements of that egg yolk on the white, those periodic movements of the continents that as soon separate as they part, that as soon produce great glaciations where all life perishes as originate new activities.
Those Suns of Anahuac work through the tertiary, secondary, and primary periods. Finally they are elevated in the changes of fire of every fifty-two years. Now we are in the fifth of those changes, the Fifth Sun. The Secret Doctrine of Anahuac contains precious treasures that the enemies of Mexico — the anthropologists of atheist materialism — would never, ever accept.
Glossary of the Fifth Lecture
DEMIURGE — Name given by the Platonic Greeks to the creating intelligence. In the cosmogony of Plato in the first part of the Timaeus: “the Demiurge is thus the intelligent force or sovereign intelligence concerting and governing the cosmos.”
EUCLID — Greek mathematician who taught in Alexandria during the reign of Ptolemy I (3rd century B.C.). He has left us the Elements, which is the basis of current plane geometry.
LOGOS — Divinity manifested in each nation and people; it is the effect of the cause that remains unmanifested. The metaphysical sense is “verb and word.” It is the beginning and the end of the universe to which it corresponds; it is its cause and object, its center and circumference… it is in all things and all are in Him.
OLIGOCENE — This name is given to a period of the tertiary or neozoic era, between the Eocene and Miocene.
THE PLEIADES — Stars of the zodiacal constellation of Taurus. They are also called the seven stars and were well known by the ancients, who named principally six of them. They are really formed of thousands of stars. Among the best known are Atlas, Alcyone, Merope, Electra, Celaeno, Pleione, Maia, Taygete, and the two Asteropes.
PLIOCENE — This name is given to a period of the tertiary era of the neogene system, limited inferiorly by the upper Miocene deposits corresponding to the Pontian, and on which rest the Pleistocene sediments.
PRAJNAPARAMITA — The perfection of wisdom, one of the 6 cardinal virtues of Buddhism.
SANSKRIT — Ancient language of the Brahmans (which continues to be the sacred language of Hindustan), forms part of the great family of the Indo-European or Aryan languages.
SIRIUS — Star of the constellation of the Great Dog, it is the most resplendent star of the sky, being visible during all winter. From most remote antiquity Sirius was the regulator of the Egyptian calendar: it announced the flooding of the Nile, for it appeared in those times in June. Homer and Hesiod celebrated in their songs the splendor of Sirius.
SPIRITUAL SUN — The occult or invisible sun, of which the visible sun of our solar system is only a reflection or shadow: just as the latter gives life and Light to the planets, the spiritual sun gives life to the spiritual and psychic realms of all the cosmos or universe. (Spiritual Sun = Paramatman).
There is no doubt that gnostic scientific anthropology draws back all the veils related to the origin of man and the Universe.
Chapter Six: SIXTH LECTURE
Unquestionably terrestrial humanity has passed through diverse phases of development, and this is something we must analyze judiciously.
One speaks of the mechanical evolution of nature, of man, and of the Cosmos. From the anthropological point of view we must understand that there exist two classes of evolution. The first would obviously be initiated with sexual cooperation duly comprehended in each and every one of its aspects. The second is different. Unquestionably, in principle the human race multiplied in the same way as cells multiply. We well know that the nucleus divides in two within the living cell, which specializes a determined quantity of cytoplasm and inherent materials to form new cells. The two divide in turn into two others, and thus, through the fissiparous process, we would say, of cellular division, the organisms develop, the cells multiply, etc.
If in principle the androgynes divided in two, or in three individuals, to reproduce themselves, later all that changed, and the organism had to prepare itself to reproduce subsequently through sexual cooperation. Obviously it was in Lemuria, a continent formerly situated in the Indian Ocean, where the main aspects related to reproduction were carried out.
In principle, the creative organs, the Lingam-Yoni, had not yet been fully developed. It was necessary that these organs of the species crystallize totally and unfold, so that later, in time, the reproduction of the human species could be carried out concretely through sexual cooperation. So, as these masculine-feminine organs were developing, we would no longer say in the merely androgynous human being, but the hermaphrodite, rather interesting facts succeeded from the biological and psychosomatic point of view.
The fertilizing cell, for example, managed to make contact with the ovum, and thus such a cell-atom was detached from the organism of the Father-Mother to develop and unfold. As a consequence or corollary, through very delicate processes, a new creature then came into being.
The second aspect of this question was also rather interesting. While it is true that in principle living germs were detached as atomic radiation to develop externally and to be converted into new creatures.
In the second there was a certain favorable change. It could be said that the fertilized egg, the ovum that normally the feminine sex eliminates from its ovaries each month, had a certain extraordinary consistency; it was already an egg in itself, in its intrinsic constitution. An ovum fertilized interiorly within the Father-Mother, within the hermaphrodite — an egg that upon going out to the external world could unfold or be incubated, until at last it opened so that a creature might emerge from there, a creature that fed on the breasts of the Father-Mother. And this in itself is already rather interesting.
Much later in time, it was noted that certain creatures came into existence with one organ more developed than another. At last the moment came when humanity divided into opposite sexes. When this happened, when this occurred, then sexual cooperation was needed to create and again create.
The genealogies of Haeckel, with respect to the possible origin of man and our three primordial races, do not fit within the materialist anthropology that today invades the world. Unfortunately they are truly the laughingstock of the materialist anthropologists, enemies of the divinal. They mock alike the genealogy of a Haeckel or the genealogies, to speak in the plural. Like those lineages of Homer. Remember clearly Achilles, the illustrious warrior son of Mars; Agamemnon, son of Jupiter, he who from afar commands, etc. Phrases or prophetic words of that man who in other times sang to old Troy, to the wrath of Achilles, the warrior.
We must speak very clearly in all these anthropological questions, that is obvious. The Scientists of this epoch will have to decide for Paracelsus, the father of Chemistry, or for the Sosura of Haeckel, the famous mythological Sosura. In any case, there is much we have to analyze and investigate within the exclusively anthropological field.
If the division of the living cell or the primigenial or primordial reproductive process were denied, the reproduction of the Moneron or atom of the watery abyss of Haeckel, dividing itself to multiply, would in fact also have to be denied. Science, in truth, in no way could pronounce scientifically against that primigenial system of reproduction through cellular division, that is, through the oviparous act.
However, we clearly realize that these two theories set forth on the way reproduction began — either by means of sexual cooperation, or that other, in which the creative organs must develop before the possible cooperation is initiated — is very debatable and thorny.
All religious theogonies, from the Orphic, which is rather ancient, to the Christian Bible, speak to us of a beginning through sexual cooperation: it is rather symbolic. It could be relegated to Alchemy, but not to scientific-anthropological.
Because an evolutive process could not begin with sexual cooperation clearly when the creative organs have not yet been created. Obviously there had to have been a period of preparation for reproduction through cooperation, a period during which the creative organs had to develop and unfold in the organic physiology of the human being.
The religious scriptures, both of the East and of the West, have been very altered, except that of the Vishnu Purana. For example, where it is said that Daya, after having given human beings the capacity to reproduce through cooperation, declared: “Long before the human being could have that capacity, long before sexual cooperation between man and woman existed, there already existed other modes of reproduction.” It refers to stages prior to the formation of the creative organs in the human being.
I do not go so far as to affirm in emphatic form that those systems prior to cooperation had no relation with the creative energy. I clearly think that the sexual energy properly speaking has other forms of manifestation, and before the creative organs in the human species had developed, such energy had other modes of expression to create and again create.
It is a pity that the Sacred Scriptures of all religions have been adulterated. We well know that even Edda did not fail to alter a little the Pentateuch in the Hebrew Bible. But despite all this, it is indispensable that we continue analyzing and reflecting: Where did the various races unfold?
We have already said many times that that matter of the Noe-pithecoid turns out rather absurd, the same as his cynocephalus with a tail, the monkey without a tail, and the arboreal man — questions of mere utopia that have no foundation of any kind. We have already laughed enough about the mythical Sosura of Haeckel, that kind of ape with the capacity to speak, something like the missing link between the monkey and man.
But it is necessary to know where those races have developed, on what stage these evolutions and involutions of humanity have unfolded. That is what we really need to know, because it would be impossible to disconnect the human races from their environment, from their various continents, from their islands, from their mountains, from their natural stages.
It does indeed draw, as I already said on another occasion, a great deal of attention that, despite the fact that there were enormous reptiles in the Mesozoic, however, humanity still lives, while those have already disappeared from the face of the Earth. How is it possible that all the antediluvian monsters have perished and that humanity continues living? We have placed much emphasis on that matter, and it is necessary to think a little or quite a bit.
That the human being is related to his environment is something that cannot be denied. That other forms of reproduction distinct from sexual cooperation have existed is also undeniable. But it is fitting to know something about the environment where the various races developed; it is urgent that little by little we go on studying the various stages of Nature.
We in no way deny that there are facts that astronomers truly do not know. What do they know, for example, about the changes or modifications of the axis of the Earth in relation to the obliquity of the ecliptic?
Laplace, the one who invented his famous theory that exists until today — affirming that all worlds emerge from their corresponding nebulae, a fact that has never been verified — goes so far as to tell us fanatically that the declination of the axis of the Earth, in relation precisely to the obliquity of the ecliptic, is almost null, and that so it has always been in secular form.
Geology, unquestionably, is against, up to a certain point, these concepts of Astronomy. Of course the deviation of the axis of the Earth within the obliquity of the ecliptic, or the inclination, to be clearer, implies, let us say, glacial periods that always succeed through the ages.
If we were to deny glacial periods, we would be affirming absurd things, because glaciations are completely demonstrated and have their basis precisely in the deviation of the axis of the Earth, in its inclination within the obliquity of the ecliptic.
So such deviation, which the astronomers deny, is demonstrated with entire clarity through geological studies. Geology and Astronomy are then opposed in this question. There are proofs of tremendous glaciations. Already Magellan notes determined epochs of heat or tropics in the Arctic, simultaneously accompanied by glaciations and intense cold in the Antarctic.
We have arrived at a rather interesting point, and it is this question of the glaciers. It seems incredible that in southern Europe and northern Africa terrible glaciations existed in other times. In Spain, for example, it has been possible to know, attributable to the Silurian epoch, that tremendous glaciations existed. And this is demonstrated through all the studies of Paleontology.
Meanwhile, no one today could deny that there have been discovered, for example, in Siberia, and especially at the mouth of certain rivers, like the Ob and others, mummified corpses of antediluvian animals. This means that Siberia, which is so cold, in other times was tropical with great heat, the same as Greenland, the Scandinavian peninsula, Sweden and Norway, even Iceland and all that horseshoe that totally surrounds the North Pole.
That there should have been heat in those regions? Impossible! anyone would say. And yes, Paleontology has confirmed it. Rather interesting creatures have been discovered precisely at the mouths of the rivers I have mentioned, and this invites us all to reflection.
During the epoch of Atlantis, the north and south poles were not where they are now. Then, the North Pole, the Arctic, was located on the equatorial line, at the most extreme eastern point of Africa and of the Antarctic.
The South Pole was located exactly on the same equatorial line, toward the opposite, a specific place in the Pacific.
There have been, then, tremendous changes in the physiognomy of the terrestrial globe. The true ancient maps are unknown to the sages of this epoch. In the secret crypts of the Lamas, in the Himalayan mountains, there are maps of the ancient Earth, geographical charts that demonstrate that our world had another physiognomy in the past.
Let us think of Lemuria, that gigantic continent located then in the Indian Ocean. It was united to Australia, for Australia is part of Lemuria, the same as all of Oceania.
The Arctic was located at the most eastern point on the equatorial line of Africa. All was different, distinct. In that epoch one of those terrible glaciers occurred. That glaciation was projected precisely from the Arctic Pole, located in Africa, toward Arabia, that is, toward the Southwest of Asia. And it also covered almost completely Lemuria. All that zone was filled with ice, but that glaciation did not manage to pass the Mediterranean.
It turns out, then, interesting that there are epochs in which our world Earth passes through such glaciations, in which the ice invades determined zones, in which millions of creatures die. All that is really due to the inclination of the axis of the Earth in relation to the obliquity of the ecliptic.
The human being has had to develop on various stages, and we must know in depth which are those stages. How did America arise? How did Europe appear? How did Lemuria sink? How did Atlantis also disappear? Lemuria was accepted by Mr. Darwin and still exists at the bottom of the Indian Ocean. Through successive conferences we shall go on studying all these stages where the human race has unfolded.
Obviously organisms have passed through various morphological changes in such or such environments. If we were to say, for example, that the intellectual animal mistakenly called man has as ancestor the famous mouse, of which the materialist anthropologists now speak so much — or better said, the “runcho” cited by the South Americans — we would frankly be falsifying the truth.
That enormous mouse or runcho of South America, we already know that it originally comes from the Atlantis of Plato, and that long before Atlantis existed man existed; thus then man is prior to the famous Atlantean runcho or mouse as it is now cited in these times.
If we were to say that man comes originally from certain primates, and later from certain hominids of the ancient Lemurian land, so accepted by Mr. Darwin, we would also be falsifying the truth. Because before the simians existed, long before the so-trumpeted primates or hominids had appeared, man already existed. Even more, before the reproduction of the species unfolded by cooperation, man already existed. Man is much prior still to Lemuria itself, so accepted by Mr. Darwin.
Obviously we must recognize that this human race that has been studied in what we might call superficial form by the materialist anthropologists, and that has passed from the monolithic times through the stages of the Eocene, the Miocene, and the Pliocene, is still more ancient than the Atlantean and Lemurian continents. But it will be necessary, I repeat, to continue studying the various stages of our world, to better comprehend the diverse processes of evolution and involution of the various human races.
For now I wish to tell you that we gnostics are firm in our concepts and that if it were put to us to choose between a Paracelsus, as father of modern Chemistry, or a Haeckel, as creator of the famous mythical Sosura, frankly we would decide for the first, for the great sage Paracelsus.

AGAMEMNON — Son of Atreus, brother of Menelaus, legendary king of Mycenae and Argos, chief of the Greek heroes who besieged Troy.
ANDROGEN — Name given by Zanger to those genital products that give origin only to masculine individuals.
ANDROGYNE — That which has two sexes; hermaphrodite.
ACHILLES — Son of Thetis and of Peleus, king of the Myrmidons, the most famous of the Greek heroes of the Iliad. He killed Hector at the siege of Troy, but was mortally wounded in the heel by a poisoned arrow shot by Paris.

Being one day bathing in a fountain near Halicarnassus, the nymph of the same, by the name of Salmacis, fell in love with him and asked the gods to merge their two bodies into one; the prayer of the nymph was heard, and in memory of this fusion of the two beings, Hermaphroditus conserved the organs of both sexes.
HOMER — Greek epic poet, generally considered as author of the epics the Iliad and the Odyssey.
LAPLACE (Pierre Simon, marquis) — French mathematician and astronomer (1749–1827), author of numerous studies on the movements of the moon, Jupiter, and Saturn, inventor of the cosmological system that bears his name.
ORPHIC — Said of the poetic and philosophical works that relate to the mythical personage of Orpheus and others also legendary, like Linus and Musaeus.
PARACELSUS — (Theophrastus Bombast von Hohenheim, called). Swiss Alchemist and Physician (1493–1541), one of the founders of experimental medicine.
PENTATEUCH — Part of the Bible comprising the first five canonical books of the Old Testament, written by Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy.
PROTOPLASM — Cytoplasm, cellular plasma, the living substance of the cellular body, viscous mass, almost always colorless, insoluble in water, and forming the most important part of the cells of animals and plants. Physiologically, it is the bearer of all vital phenomena: irritability, capacity of nutrition, assimilation, disassimilation, of movement, of growth, and of cellular division.
VISHNU PURANA — Scripture in which is described the cult that was held in India for Rama, one of the incarnations of Vishnu.
Chapter Seven: SEVENTH LECTURE
Truly planet Earth deserves to be studied profoundly. The inhabitants of the Earth want to travel to other worlds, when in reality they still do not know their own world in which they live.
Throughout the planet there are diverse facts, events, phenomena completely unknown to official science. It is not out of place to recall some facts that happen in the seas. Let us begin by reminiscing about certain phenomena that happen to some creatures of the oceans.
Around the year 1917 there was observed off the coast of Massachusetts (United States) a sea serpent that measured 27 meters in length. The Naturalist Society of Boston studied it carefully; never again was it seen in those parts, that is obvious.
A dragnet ship, for example, captured a tadpole in larval state that measured two meters in size. If it had been allowed to develop, according to naturalist studies it would have reached a size of 22 meters in length. That type of creature in truth is generally unknown. How do they live? How do they act? Where do such creatures develop? Why do they exist?
Let us think of that famous blue fish, which was considered to have disappeared. It has always been called in poetic form, we would say, with a name that recalls song, voice, poetry. I refer frankly to the Coelacanth. Frankly that animal is a little strange. It has extremities very similar to those of human beings, and lives especially at the bottom of the Indian Ocean; let us not forget that it was precisely in the Indian Ocean that Lemuria existed. This means that even at these hours of life, that fish still continues to exist in Lemuria itself. It lives in the depths; rarely has it come to the surface.
Unquestionably, the great depths of the Indian Ocean turn out extraordinary. The existence of an antediluvian animal in the full twentieth century leaves us much to think about. Why does it exist in the full twentieth century? To what is it due? At some time the fossilized remains of one of those fish was found. Its existence was calculated at eighteen million years. The Coelacanth was very well known sixty million years ago. The figure of the Coelacanth is astonishing. It draws attention that it has developed extremities, that is, members similar to the arms, hands, or feet of the human being. It still exists and is perfectly alive.
An antediluvian creature existing in the full twentieth century? What could the materialist anthropologists say about such a creature? What would their concept be? All this invites us to great reflection. What shall we truly say about the Mosasaur or Ichthyosaur of archaic times? It still continues to exist in the terrible depths of the Pacific. What do the men of science know about that? Absolutely nothing. So in truth it is fitting that we continue exploring all these questions to form for ourselves a clear, precise concept.
Eels, for example, turn out rather interesting. We well know that some eels coming from Europe and from America meet in the Sargasso Sea with the object of reproducing themselves, but the interesting thing is that they never return to the original point of departure. Those who truly return are the children. Why does this happen? Why do the parents not return, but the children? How could the anthropologists of materialist science explain this? What do they know about the matter? I am sure that they are totally ignorant of these questions.
Let us pass to the question of the tuna, which really is something that merits reflection. The tuna that leave Brazil head toward Scotland; subsequently they approach Europe and pass near the Mediterranean. But rare is the tuna that enters the Mediterranean. “What could the men of science say about all this? Why do the migratory currents of tuna not enter into the Mediterranean?” Who directs them? Why do they do it? In what epoch of life have the gentlemen of materialist anthropology defined these questions? If they pretend to have the Wisdom of the Universe, why have they never spoken of these matters? In truth these materialist people not only are ignorant, but what is worse, they are ignorant that they are ignorant, and that is very grave.
There are great squids, gigantic monsters endowed with enormous tentacles, about which materialist science has never spoken anything. Marks of those tentacles have been found on whales. Unquestionably all that indicates great struggles in the abyssal regions. There are also fish-lizards of unknown origin, about which materialist anthropology has never in life spoken.
Continuing forward, we will also speak of certain phenomena that are unknown to the materialist gentlemen. Well, we know that there exist rivers in the very sea, at hundreds of meters of depth, that march in opposite directions. Why do they do it? Why does one river, neighboring another, march in opposite direction and in the same ocean?
These rivers turn — we well know — those of the North from left to right, like the hands of a clock seen from the front; those of the South in the inverse. But why does the Benguela Current not turn? What happens? What explanation would materialist science give on the matter? Why are those foolish scientists silent? What can they tell us about all that?
Off the coasts of Peru, at 1,500 meters of depth, very well worked, very well carved columns of Atlantean buildings have been observed, and magnificent photographs of the matter have been obtained. The existence of Atlantis is thus demonstrated. But the foolish scientists continue, as always, denying, denying.
There are disappeared civilizations, like that of Easter Island, where today gigantic effigies exist, enormous human heads carved by the hands of giants. Materialist science has never said anything. It is silent, silent, silent…
What shall I say of the Antarctic? There is no doubt that before the revolution of the axes of the Earth, in the North and South Poles powerful civilizations existed. Unquestionably, in the ices of the Antarctic remains of those most ancient cultures must exist. A day will arrive when the shovel of archaeologists may unearth them. Meanwhile, materialist science is silent, silent as always without giving explanations.
There also exist gigantic, monstrous waves, on tranquil and serene seas — isolated waves that have no reason for being, no precise justification. I refer precisely to the “seiche” waves. What is their origin? Some submarine earthquake?
How could the materialist scientific gentlemen explain this? What would the enemies of the Eternal say about this? In truth, they not only are ignorant, but also they are ignorant that they are ignorant. That there are waves in furious seas, accepted. But that in a tranquil sea an extraordinary, isolated, solitary, gigantic, and monstrous wave should come without knowing why, is something that has never had scientific explanation. Yet those facts happen in the ocean, and materialist science has never, ever been able to explain that.
In that range of the Atlantic that surrounds the submarine range where formerly the great Atlantean continent existed, there are around one hundred thousand annual earthquakes, and this turns out interesting. We well know that terrible earthquakes and great tidal waves ended the Atlantean continent. But still, at these hours of life and in the full twentieth century, submerged Atlantis continues to tremble.
It is fitting that we reflect on all these questions, for at bottom they are rather interesting. Unquestionably planet Earth is not known by the materialist anthropologists. In truth this world Earth continues to be a true enigma for materialist science.
Some lobsters full of spines gather in sufficient quantities to form a migration, and they descend along the continental shelf, slowly, walking until reaching the abyssal plain, with an unknown direction. What would the men of science say about this? What explanation do they give? Where are they heading? What exactly is the goal? Why do they carry out this kind of migrations? Enigmas that the materialist scientists do not understand!
Our planet Earth has not always been as it is now; it has changed its geological physiognomy various times. If we examine the four maps of Elliot Scott, we will see that the Earth, a million years ago, was completely different. Those four geographical maps deserve to be taken into consideration. They resemble four maps that existed and that still continue to exist in some subterranean crypts of Central Asia. Such maps are unknown to the know-it-alls of materialist science. They are kept secretly with the purpose of conserving them intact, for we well know that the gentlemen of false science are always disposed to alter everything in order to justify their so-trumpeted theories.
The first of those Elliot Scott maps draws much attention; it turns out most interesting. In it one sees what the world was around eight hundred thousand years before Christ. Then the region of the brachycephalics of so-trumpeted ultramodern anthropology did not exist.
From the Bering Strait, passing through Siberia and Europe to France and Germany, the only thing that existed was water. Siberia and Europe properly speaking had not arisen from the bottom of the oceans.
Of Africa, only the eastern part existed, because the West and South of that continent was submerged in the raging waves of the ocean. That small continent that then existed in Eastern Africa was known by the name of Grabonci.
South America was sunk among the waters of the ocean; it had not arisen into existence. The United States, Canada, Alaska — all that was submerged in the ocean — and yet, Mexico existed!
It seems incredible that eight hundred thousand years B.C. Mexico already existed. When Europe did not yet exist, Mexico existed! When South America had not emerged from the bottom of the ocean, Mexico existed!
This invites us to comprehend that within the entrails of this sacred land of Mexico — as archaic as the world — there exist extraordinary archaeological and esoteric treasures that have not yet been discovered by the archaeologists’ shovel.
Lemuria was in that epoch a gigantic continent that extended through the Pacific, that covered all that area of Australia, of Oceania, the Indian Ocean — so gigantic — and that was projected through the whole Pacific to those places where later South America emerged. See how gigantic Lemuria was, how enormous!
The physiognomy of the terrestrial globe was, then, completely distinct about eight hundred thousand years before Jesus the Christ. The capital of Atlantis was Toyan, the city of the seven gates of solid gold.
The materialist anthropologists, who do not see beyond their noses, will say on what we will base ourselves to be able to speak of the great capital. I wish to tell those gentlemen, who have done so much to take from humanity its Eternal Values and to precipitate it along the path of involution, that we have exact data to be able to speak of Lemuria, that there are maps preserved very much in secret in some subterranean crypts that indicate where Toyan, the capital of Atlantis, was.
So if we speak, we do so with full knowledge of the cause. If we cite Lemuria and Atlantis, it is because they were continents that really had real existence. We well know that even Darwin himself accepted the existence of Lemuria.
Toyan was situated in an angle, in the southwest of that great country, in front of the southeast or southwest coast of a strip of land that extended clearly to the Loire, and the Mediterranean, and the east of Africa, and finally reached the south of Asia, which already existed. Atlantis itself was projected from Brazil to the Azores; that is completely verified, and from Nova Scotia, directly throughout the whole Atlantic Ocean.
So that in truth Atlantis covered in its totality the ocean that bears its name. It was a great country. Imagine for a moment Atlantis projecting itself to the Azores, to Nova Scotia, and descending to where today is Brazil. How enormous a continent it was! It extended from South to North; it was grandiose. It sank through ceaseless earthquakes. Various catastrophes were necessary for Atlantis to disappear definitively.
So in truth, the stage of the world has been changing; the physiognomy of this terrestrial globe has not always been the same, and on it various human races have unfolded.
But before all, it is urgent to revise the various geological changes through which the Earth has passed. We understand that each race has had a stage, that we need to know the environment, the climate, the conditions in which it has had to live, and this is indispensable.
We truly need to study carefully the physiognomy of the world in ancient times, the various geological changes through which the Earth has passed. Only thus shall we be able to form a clear, precise concept of the origin of man, of his diverse cultures, of his various evolutive and involutive processes. But if unfortunately we were to remain completely bottled up in all the contemporary prejudices, we would not truly know anything about Geology, and much less about the processes of evolution and development of the human race.
It is necessary to inquire, to investigate, to analyze a little… There are many enigmas upon the face of the Earth that are unknown to official science. How is it possible that the Ichthyosaur or Mosasaur, which belonged to epochs like those of the Pliocene, continues existing in the full twentieth century within the great depths of the Pacific? They are enigmas that until now materialist science in truth has not been able to decipher, nor comprehend.
Through these talks we have to go on knowing the various stages of the world. We will have to shed light in the darkness. When it is said that the cultures of America came through the Bering Strait from the Asian continent, a frightful falsehood is being asserted, because the ancient maps demonstrate that the Bering Strait, Siberia, Canada, and the United States did not exist!
Eight hundred thousand years ago, Mexico had a solemn, marvelous population, separated from the Bering Strait by the great oceans. So materialist science is speaking of what it has not seen, of what it has no proof of. We are speaking on the basis of maps like those of Elliot Scott and others similar that are found in the subterranean crypts of the Himalayan range, in Central Asia.
Those who assert that the human race arrived in America through the Bering Strait demonstrate great ignorance, total ignorance of the ancient geographical charts. With that kind of assertions the materialist anthropologists are deceiving public opinion and abusing the intelligence of readers.
We, I repeat, are lovers of scientific investigation, of exact analysis. We do not permit ourselves the luxury of accepting materialist theories; we are not fools who would let ourselves be deceived by suppositions based on false utopias.
Glossary of the Seventh Lecture
BENGUELA (Current of) — Maritime current located off the African coasts. It has not been possible to satisfactorily explain why this current curves toward the east to reach the African coasts.
BRACHYCEPHALIC — Genus of fanevoglossal bufoniform amphibians, of the family of the fiiniscids; it comprises a single species.
SQUID — Common name of the dibranchiate cephalopod mollusks, of the myopsids, comprised in the genus Loligolam.
ICHTHYOSAUR — (Paleont. Ichthyosaurus) Genus of vertebrates of the class of reptiles, order of ichthyosaurs, synonymous with proteusaurus.
ICHTHYOSAUR — Order of vertebrates of the class of reptiles. Its exterior structure was very similar to that of current dolphins. The structure of its ribs shows that they could inhale large quantities of air to submerge to great depth, but ordinarily they lived on the surface of the water, since their respiration, like that of reptiles, was pulmonary.
EASTER ISLAND — Island of the Pacific Ocean belonging to Chile, of volcanic origin and almost triangular figure. The island is notable for its statues and archaeological remains. The colossal-sized statues (sometimes 5 meters tall) erected on a cyclopean work of masonry. There are stone houses more than 30 meters long with walls 1.80 meters thick.
PELASGIANS — Name anciently given to the primitive inhabitants of Greece, who were driven from there by the Hellenes upon immigrating to that country.
SARGASSO (Sea of) — Portion of the Atlantic Ocean comprised between the Antilles, the Azores, and the Bermudas, which presents the peculiarity of marine algae belonging mainly to species of the genus sargasso, denominated sargassum bacciferum and S. fluitans.
SEICHES — Term designating the periodic oscillations of water level on the surface of Lake Geneva, and by extension also on that of other lakes. The physicist Forel has treated this phenomenon in detail in his work Le Léman (Lausanne 1895).
